This song actually has a hopeful message. In IU’s show “Palette”, they discuss the meaning of the song and Chanhyuk (the brother) explains that, “Once you keep falling and falling and when there is no land, wouldn’t we be able to fly back up from the other side of the world?” (Assuming there is no land when falling so falling = flying). He then says that the message of the song is that, “If you fall on the spot, are you so afraid of being left alone? But I’ll be with you at the bottom.”
IU is all over the place in this song. If you don't know both of the ladies' voices I can understand how you might not be sure with who is singing what in here.
AKMU is very artsy, they do have quite a few retro sounding tracks. They are less kpop and more r&b/indie Check out: rebey, 200%, melted, dinosaur and hoe can I love the heartbreak.
This is not necessarily AKMU's usual sound, they've been exploring some more mature and indie sounds... AKMU's older/younger sound was very playful, youthful and quirky, in the best possible way. At the begining everything was written on an accoustic guitar, but they have incorporated more modern sounds over the years. They have a lot of songs with a jazzy influence too. They also have sentimental or emotional songs. Their music is very unique and distinctive. But yeah, this album explored some new sounds for them, specially in the first few tracks. IU sings like half of the female vocals here, but she's taking turns with Suhyun in a very smooth manner, as if it's one voice... They recorded this in a very seemless way. It was obviously a choice.
A little background, AKMU (Akdong Musician) won a competition show, Kpopstar 2 in 2013 and signed with YG Ent. Lee Chanyuk writes and produces all their music and Lee Suhyun is the main singer. She also teamed up with Lee Hi to form Hi Suhyun and released the single I'm Different with Bobby from Ikon. And released her first solo single Alien last year. Lee Chanyuk also wrote Ah puh for IU on her last CD Lilac. If you watch IU's show Palette episode 9, AKMU is her guest and they sing Nakka live with her band. You also get to know a little more about them.
Every song in this album will have a music video and every music video are connected to each other in order! I would appreciate if you could react to the rest of their album :)
The brother Lee Chan-hyuk wrote the IU song 'Ah Puh' on her latest album. The ultimate AKMU MV is named 'Dinosaur'. There's a whole catalog of great songs and MVs to check out.
When Digimosnter(AKMU)+ Digimonster colabs(IU)= charts broken🤧🔥. Btw Akmu is the best kpop duo ever they are very talented everytime they do comeback it will for sure kill the korean chart they even called "nation siblings" because they are really talented & korean really love them. Both of them is really genius they can even make a songs from whatever u give them like letter, book or anythings in just a few minutes or maybe second🤭. and the reason they called digimonster is also because its easy for them to enter the korean chart but hard to leave it (funfact their old songs from 2019 even still at the chart till now while many popular artist is already out). They always clean up the chart when they comeback & hope they will do it again this time🙏🏼 (they are doing really great so far & waiting for PAK🙏🏼🤧) My recommended songs of Akmu: 1.How Can I Love The Heartbreak, Your The One I Loved 2.Dinosaur 3. Melted & many more because Akmu songs is never disappointed
There are mv's for every track on this album. IU is amazing but so are AKMU. When Zico and Cl were on an Epik high track, heaps of reactors suddenly watched them but Epik High have 10 albums. Akmu have such a great list of song so listen to, they are amazing vocalists.
akmu are amazing and this album is fire hope you react to stupide love song from the same album and for some other older stuff how people move whale dinosaur melted rebye freedom 200%
I found something amazing yesterday and first thing that came to mind is I gotta share this with you. If you are looking for legends and looking for just pure vocals, I would suggest you to react to “Big Mama Dinggo Killing Voice” where they sang their medleys of hits songs in one performance video. I promised you that you will just be blown away because I am.
Please also check out 'Hey kid close your eyes'! The two mvs are connected and naka is a continuation of it (if I interpreted it correct 😅) Akmu makes quite diverse music and the style that got me into them is very different, but somehow I still love everything they put out Some of my favorites: Re-bye How people move Dinosaur How can I love the heartbreak, you are the one I love Melted 200% The first two are kind of retro Idk how to describe dinosaur I just love it Next two are beautiful ballads And last but not least 200% is really cute song (the style that got me into them)
Akmu has no style. Their last single before this album was like a beatles song... then before that the album had slow songs and country indie folk. Album before that was musical like. The had an edm song and first were pop indie lol
