What resonates with me about this guy is that he can articulate his points without being insulting or mean spirited about it. He mixes history and current events and shows how much they have in common. By not making it personal, he is able to make his talks thought provoking and informative.

I am with you Victor. I had my invention in the Tulare farm show twice. I have been a laborer, foreman, engineer, superintendent, sales engineer, manager and president of my own company. I respect Trump because he can place us in the world economy to our advantage while eliminating the prospect of war. He is a good salesman, manager, negotiator and diplomat. He truly cares for our country and the people who have built it and are maintaining it.

Mr. Hanson is a true public intellectual. I often feel that Mr. Hanson is like me; A liberal who generally dislikes liberals and their never ending emotionalism. He clearly has a historically tragic CLASS vision, with deep ties to CLASSICALLY Democratic constituencies. But his conservatism reflects his CLASSICAL background. He has learned the lessons of history, and knows we are subject to the same weakness and hubris as our forebears. As usual, always worth the listen!

He deserves a larger audience.
He deserves to speak without having to over talk the sound of cutlery cutting their steak. VDHis a National treasure. Articulate, well spoken, and a sense of humor in this obscene times we are living in.
He's well too educated to draw in people today seem more attracted to the abrasive types. What's odd to me is that we see many defenders of the conservative but who's making a case for the left? I'm not taking sides but I can't tell who's who and I'm not sure I ever knew but I like lectures.
Listening to this, June 25th, 2019, am still wonderfully impressed with VDH'S thinking and speaking,... and his oversized jackets and the behind the scenes knife fights.

This was a wonderful talk and taught me so much. My father grew up on a farm and served in the Navy for over 20 years some of the worst Pacific theater that we know of.

I'm watching this in 2020 and so interesting listening to names of who said what and how wrong they were. Today, Trump signed the Peace treaty with Afghanistan ending an 18 year war and going to be bringing our soldiers back. Time to celebrate!

Indeed, reasonableness is such a rare commodity these days, as is sincerity. Having wisdom emanate from the likes of VDH who can share his thoughts sans condescension gives hope that we might find ourselves sharing the world we live on without being constantly at each others' throats.
The audio should have been first rate. This was well worth hearing without the clatter of people making noise.

Dr Hanson asks why. This is six years later in 2023. I think I know why. A common behavior for people who have no rational thinking of their own usually follow other people’s behavior while not really knowing the meaning of the fad. Just like millions of teenagers literally went nuts over their idols such as the Beatles. Now the “pride”, the transgender are in, the thing to follow. Despite the fact that Bud Light, Target suffer billions financially, I just received a “Happy Pride Month” e mail from WMart. Who is actually promoting this type of activities? How do they have such great influence that huge corporations would follow their order in trying to manipulate the vast number
in the general public to cheer for the relative minority even willing to lose billions? This part I do not understand.

VDH, You are a thoughtful and studied man. Thank you for your talks, they are always interesting. If I may, I would like to ask you to assuage my fears of Bannon. He is a self proclaimed Leninist. He is a follower of Alexander Dugin, very influential Putin servant. Bannon has stated he 'wants to burn the system down'. He has not specified into 'what' he believes it should be refashioned. You mentioned his beard and biker boots, I love both. I do have a problem with a 'Leninist' being the top advisor to my President. I was not 'never trump'. That said, I vote on my belief in the Constitution and the morals, values, and principles therein. Bannon is a Leninist in the sense of being a radical - "the worse the better". Anyone truly committed to their cause would be. Bannon has very clearly stated that he believes in 3 things: putting a stop to unnecessary wars, limiting immigration and protecting American industry. What is wrong with that?

Bizarre practice. Eating a catered dinner with a few hundred other people while a significant speaker delivers a talk. After about ten minutes the knives and forks become less active but there’s always a few who have to pick away at the last bits of chicken still attached to a bone. I’m surprised someone hasn’t choked and required the Heimlich manoeuvre. I can only wonder if they’re preparing to serve dessert. If they serve tea and coffee ☕️ there’ll be a real racket. Yes, I’m having trouble concentrating on the speech..why can’t people eat and then come listen instead of mess up a recording that has the potential to to be heard by untold numbers of people for untold number of years in the future?
