    I love my Bauer shop vac. They’re a great value and work just as good as anything else on the market👍

    That is a great deal! We got the 5 gal at work as a one time user. That thing is still going strong. I was impressed! Thanks Tom.

    Looking at reviews of this and for some reason I can't find one that uses the wet feature. It is a wet/dry vac, the wet feature separates it from normal vacuums, why does no one demonstrate or review this feature?

    I have this model too. It's a great little vacuum and has been holding up well.

    I got the same one a year ago and love it! More power then you think it would be. Keep the filter clean so it dont burn up and it will last.👍

    Nice Mr. Tom! I have a 1 gallon from walmart.. 19 dollars... I use it exclusively to clean my pittboss smoker...its been rolling for over 2 years now and been mistreated badly... but impressed with it.... and I understand completely about the larger one in the shop.. the one I have there is a pain! Good stuff! Thanks

    They took my gaul bladder out over a year ago. I need a shop vac to suck up my farts and have the exhaust blown outside via a pass thru in the wall...

    I just got the Hercules vacuum, I would have gotten the Bauer but I liked the dual power and Bauer was battery only. l like both tool lines

    I have always had a large shop vac too as I wanted the power but needed a smaller one to carry around so I bought a Craftsman similar to this years ago that is still working nicely but got tired of carrying it between my homes so bought this one. Wow, what a nice little unit, it is much quieter than the Craftsman (could just be from being years newer) and has really good suction. I was concerned that these little ones won't work well cleaning a car but works real nice, my only complaint (and this goes the Craftsman too) is when storing the unit the hose is very awkward making storing it somewhat of a pain but this holds true for any other shop vac. I bought this on sale and IMO you cannot beat it for the price.

    Bought the Craftsman version-basically the same unit, different labeling-and it works well for a 3 hp shop vac.Good for doing work in confined spaces, and quick clean ups in vehicles.Very light with a large handle for easy movement.Btw,if you remove the paper filter and just use the foam sleeve,it is great for removing standing water, which makes it perfect for changing the home toilet.

    That “sucks” your craftsman vac quit on you. I’ve got a vintage 80s model craftsman that size that I bought new and it’s still going strong. I probably just jinxed it by saying that. I’ve also got a big vacuum for a back up but the small one is better for some stuff like you said. So handy for clean up and small enough to store easy. You don’t really think of a vacuum as a tool but it can be an important one. You don’t need one until you need one. Thanks Tom.

      I think the key is not to run too long an$ keep filter clean. I think all the dog hair my son vacuumed caused it to burn up.

    Hello Tom, how long is the hose? This may work for our RV

    • @TomGunnTools
      @TomGunnTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hose is 4ft which seems a good size. The cord is 10ft which o wouldn’t have minded another 2ft but works out well

      I may pick 1 of these up, I’d like to mount it in our front storage area of the RV, I’ll extend the hose about 20 feet. Thanks

    I actually do believe the specs. I just had to replace my household vacuum. I had not shopped for a vacuum before, it ended up being quite a bit more involved because I'm neurotic about doing everything scientifically. I went through four vacuums in 2 weeks and read about three books worth to learn about suction. It's only in the last year or two that vacuum manufacturers are publishing the kPa, the only meaningful measurement of suction power. Just to give you an example, I ended up with a vacuum with a 250 w motor that was about 23,000 kPa. I started with a vacuum with a 600 watt motor that ran about 15,000 kPa. Based on the little bit that I learned, the diameter and length of the hose would have more of an effect than doubling the size of the motor. I won't get too deep into why, I suppose if it interests you you can read about it. But it's much more complicated engineering problem then slapping a bigger motor on a vacuum, many variables have to be balanced against each other. I was pretty impressed, I assumed it to be a lot simpler

    The hose is very short. Be prepared to carry it in the cars back seat to vacuum. Great for RV Trailer or a single mom w/young kids or living in a condo.

    Too bad about the craftsman but you can't say "it sucks". That was bad, that might be worse than a dad joke. Don't think I've seen a Bauer vacuum before and I work at a Hardware store. Nice video Tom.
