Harbor freight has been my life saver lately. Price and quality are on point. With prices going up at Depot, I'm glad Harbor freight is still reasonable.
I really like Harbor Freight more and more. When I was a kid, I only knew them for selling terrible tools that were cheap but just not worth buying. Now days, they do cost a little more but the quality is phenomenal for the price you pay.
@Derek's Workshop and Projects I never grew up with a harbor freight. When the sears closed in my town, Harbor Freight moved in. With inflation, I had a hard time justifying some of the prices at lowes or Home Depot. I gave harbor freight a shot, and I love what they have to offer. I even switched from Hart to bauer.
Well when I was a kid the closest store was a 3 hour drive away in the Phoenix area but we drove down there enough that my dad shopped frequently. Now they have one an hour away from me (half hour from my home town).
@Derek's Workshop and Projects I'm lucky mines 15 min away lol I just built a book case and I wanted a starter router so I picked up the drillmaster 1/4 router for $22 and a hercules bit for $11. For under $35 with tax I was able to get my bookcase completed and how I wanted it.
Just bought this vac. Moved into an apartment in December and the detached garage has no outlets as far as I'm aware. This thing is so much more convenient than going 10 minutes across town to the car wash! Great review.
I am in the dewalt ecosystem but Bauer cordless tools are super easy to modify to run dewalt batteries. I just bought this today and can't wait to see what it can do.
Thanks for the video Man, I've been trying to decide if I wanted to jump on this vacuum to replace my 3.5g corded Ridgid. I've recently acquired a couple Bauer tools and have been nothing but impressed. I'll be purchasing this vacuum along with the sliding cordless miter saw. Keep up the reviews man we all appreciate them.
I’d like to get the cordless miter saw too. It’s not as good as a corded vacuum, keep that in mind. But it is a good vacuum for what it is and it’s extremely convenient. Thanks for watching/commenting.
I'm in Bauer line and Hercules line of tools.l went with Hercules vacuum because it was dual power and it was free when buying 2 5amp hour battery s, that I needed anyway for other tools l already have.Buy what makes you happy!
This shop vac Is awesome. I thought it actually out performs my dewalt. I got this originally for my shop. I liked it better then dewalt and ended up selling my dewalt and put a bauer shop vac in my truck.
I just bought this vacuum because I didn't wanna pass up on the free 3ah battery offer. Wasn't expecting much but come to find out this works great for cleaning out my van. Has plenty of suction. A little loud but is portable and easy to maneuver with.
Thanks for the video. I bought the stapler and angle grinder, need another battery. That vac comes with a free battery. Dragging out my ear splitting Ridgid for every lil' job is a pain.
The really, in my opinion, should have made the batteries compatible between the two lines. I don’t know. Maybe less money in sales if they did that, but seems like it would have been a better solution for the customer.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects I agree. It was a hard decision on which battery line to invest in, and when I did a couple years ago the offerings were pretty similar, now Bauer has considerably more options. The bean counters might think having them all use the same battery would cut into their sales, but I think the opposite is actually true. If the Bauer and Hercules took the same battery I’d buy a ton more tools. Hell I would probably even have some doubled up, like an impact driver for me (Hercules) and a Bauer for the wife and kids when they want to use a tool.
Awesome vid! Quick question. Would you recommend using this vac for fiberglass cleanup? I’ve got a mattress that’s releasing fiberglass all over the place and now I’ve gotta clean it up. Walls, ceilings, everything.
I have the Milwaukee vac that looks almost like that Bauer. Its pretty lame too. I think these vacs are more or less made to connect to a power tool to help reduce the dust
Yeah harbor freight is actually not the cheapest anymore, they are kind of midline, at least these bauer's are even with the pricing. On sales/coupons they are much better deals. They've got me as a loyal customer because of warranty and it's worth paying over nameless stuff from china because they put the R&D into it. Really enjoying HF now

How was it?
@@dannyzamora907 It actually works very well, I just used it to vacuum the car yesterday.
How do you modify to ru. Dewalt batteries?

Appreciate the review! For the price seems like a great deal.
It’s not a bad vacuum at all.

Good review, thought about buying it but I do have the Ryobi. Seems similar
I think I mentioned it in the video. Id love to check it out against the Ryobi.
Check direct tools. They have refurbished and “blemish” Ryobi and Rigid stuff you could get a deal on for comparing.

Get the chainsaw. Better value.
I’m a Hercules guy, the Herc’s over twice the price, so I got a Hercules battery to Bauer adapter and bought this tool. Works great.

Is there a battery adapter that can make Bauer batteries work with Hercules?
I'm wondering what the inside/outside mm of the mouth is, because, you know, I could keep 1m of PVC pipe with it to stand up while cleaning the floor.
I just got this today. 👍😀

Can you provide the size of the nozzle? I have a bunch of standard 1-1/4 attachments I would want to fit on the hose.
I could care less about performance really the convenience of not having to plug it in could really help me out on a lot of jobs
That’s what it’s all about. Convenient for sure. Great at that!
Fantastic review and I appreciate the under 10min video. How has it been holding up after 1 year?
I don’t use it a ton but I did just vacuum out my truck a week ago and it still works great. I break it out a couple times a month probably.

Can you use any of the Bauer batteries in it
Had mine for awhile and I am also satisfied. Has anyone come with an idea for a bag???
Interesting idea. I don’t usually think “I wish this thing had a bag” when it comes to wet dry vacs but that might the handy.
Good video.
Same filter for wet or dry?
For wet vac, you remove the filter. It has a float switch to cut it off in wet mode.
I need to use my banks mail guns I used daily for 6 months.
What?
I was wondering what the runt time is for a single battery
I used my 5ah for about 5min and it still showed full battery. 5ah will probably last at least 20min straight.
