When I saw this song come out last night, I chose not to listen to it then, but set it as my morning alarm. That was such a beautiful way to wake up! Those lyrics...hearing then for the first time as I wake up, not feeling motivated to get out of bed just hits different. 💚

This song expresses our time at night when we are overcome by thoughts, but we don't know how to describe them. We want to feel relief from these thoughts, but we just can't.

I've been sitting here since the stream earlier just anticipating the song, and I'm on my third listen as I write. Marie this song is FANTASTIC! Pretty, relatable, soothing, everything someone could want from your music and more. And the different musical choices are so cool! That neat percussive R&B-esque guitar line is so fun, and that slightly distorted guitar part is such an unexpected choice that perfectly helps set the tone of the topic.
ANYWAY, I'm gushing, but my point is this song is great, one of my favorite songs to come out lately very easily.

Exhaustion, burnout, depression, helplessness, etc. are some results in this and it can completely sap away happiness in all areas of your life. For me the whole piece about waking already feeling empty, and “Is everyone happy?” resonates. Childhood circumstances set me feeling that keeping everyone else happy was the safest thing, and it’s a habit that’s hard to break. When I heard these lyrics it really hit me.

Just watched through it. This really hits home for me because I always feel like I have to please everyone, and I wake up feeling just as exhausted as when I went to bed.
I'm grateful that it's just "some days" and not every day for me anymore. But when those days do come around (and they will as sure as the storm clouds keep rolling) this song paints that feeling perfectly and I feel a sense of peace.
