I'm not the best at piano but I thought I noticed a bit of a gap once and probably 1 or 2 small mistakes in the entire thing - still infinitely better than what I could do though Edit: for anyone who was wondering, I counted these mistakes: 1:01 - Very short pause (not even sure that was a mistake) 1:07 - Wrong key 1:16 - Accidentally pressed an extra key 1:40 - A couple (1-3?) mistakes / extra keys 1:52 - Wrong key 2:01 - 1-2 wrong/extra keys

I still think Fanchen was musically a better performance than this one. Clearer notes, better dynamics etc. we can compare them if they both played the same arrangement.
This is the best rendition of *E* I’ve ever seen. Only one that comes even close is SMB’s own cover, and even that required 2 people and was much slower. Bravo Maestro.

This is an easy piece with sloppy playing, lack of clarity in the notes, mistakes after mistakes. This is not an accomplishment for ANY serious musician.
Cus it’s sped up a bit to match the sound. He probably recorded the piano in parts like singers do when they record and add them together. What he is doing then is like lip syncing but for piano so he basically plays it after hand but of course he couldn’t play the whole thing in one so he had to speed it up in the end cus it’s to fast to do a already fast song and then speeding it up, that’s sooooo hard. Ye that’s why lol

Bro you can't compare animenz with him. Each person have different styles of playing. Not only so, they play different kinds of music, animenz only do covers of anime song and so far, his best/most popular arrangement is the legendary unravel, we haven't even seen the best of him as a CLASSICAL pianist. Well tbh I think that in music instead of comparing someone with someone you can only compare which song is better or which arrangement of a song is better. Art is subjective anyway.

I came expecting clickbait, and while someone will say "uh, actually it's impossible to play all the parts with two hands", I think this was the closest to the original a human can get, and absolutely insane rendition.
It's definitely not Sped up. He's moving his head back and forth quickly as he follows the tempo and jams, but you can tell by the way his hair bounces, how.is neck moves, and the reverb from the piano in the room that it's actually a live performance with no editing

@@smallw1991 I am already 8 years in. My body is now black and white, and some places of my body make tones when touching them. I have mastered 5th dimension pianos, and went to heaven concerts. Rush E is a begginer piece for me. Now, having around 88 arms and legs, I can flawlessly play any piece you could ever think of, no matter how hard it is.
Actually this guys is just the only person who's figured out how to control time like molding clay in his palms, and he uses this ability to impress all of us with piano, and make us rethink piano playing possibilities to influence the future of piano playing.
Mediocre is not a term for comparisons like “better” or “worse”. It means “on the right track but still lacks refinement”. The original piano rendition was mediocre. Fanchen’s and this aren’t mediocre.
@@Houlz Not true at all. Talent is not something that can be learned, it is something that comes from our genes. Someone who is tone deaf, for example, would never be able to play at the level of a professional musician no matter how much they practice.

I think the important distinction is between overall talent and natural talent. Like you said, though: even someone who works their butt off will never be as good as someone who is naturally skilled and applies themselves a fraction of that amount (unless they REALLY don't try to maximize their gift). The thing that often bothers me is when someone says a really skilled piano player, artist, programmer, writer, etc. is lucky to be so good at their job, and that they would do the same thing easily if *they* were as good, when the person they're referring to spent decades honing their craft and mastering their skillset, just to have it belittled to "oh you must have been born good, lucky you".

Ive been playing the piano for 10 years now. This was one of the craziest piano things I've ever seen. I dont think many people know just how hard it is to machine-gun those octaves with BOTH HANDS at the SAME TIME. Seriously, it is in a completely different universe compared to where I am at.

Not to boast or anything (so to boast and anything) but I've been playing for 25 years and only in the last few I unlocked this kind of ability and yikes it's amazing to have this much control at these speeds. I think the biggest mistake I made for many years was trying to tell my hands exactly what to do. No. You tell your hands what notes to press and when but they do it on their own. Then they do things you would never have thought of.

I can barely handle my small classical repertoire and i imagine you probably played way more and did this for fun on the side I can't comprehend it.
Ah, young padawan, this stuff comes with time :) I’ve been playing piano for a *long* time, I’d say my secret trick is being able to identify what it is I find tough about any piece, and playing simplified versions of this challenging thing that slowly work their way up to what I actually need to play. For example, if the hard thing is a really fast scale, some easier versions would be a slow scale, or a really fast scale where I stop every fourth note or something. You get better at identifying the skills you need to improve this way, and how to make the exercises to improve them, over time as you get more of an intuition of what your hands like and don’t like xP

He's going so fast the keys on the piano barely recover by the time he returns to them, and there's a weird sort of appearance of multiples keys across the keyboard being depressed while he moves between sections... Amazing...
It reminds me of the scene of "The Legend of 1900" where the pianist starts to play an impossible piece on the piano. Amazingly beautiful, thank you. I also love the semplicity and the genuinity that you brought playing it.
There were multiple instances where you hit a key, then moved your hand away and hit the next key before the previous one finished resetting. That was crazy, but awesome.
This is the important difference between grand pianos and upright pianos, grands you can play the key again before it resets, and uprights you cannot, now there are some special cases but this is the main rule of thumb because of the way they are built. I have seen very experienced players get flustered moving from a full grand to an upright because they’re muscle memory messes them up

Ive been playing piano for 4 years now and nost pianos do have a delay where the notes come back up, the only things that dont are synthesisers but the other guys right, the fact its a grand piano just adds to the effect, as well as the dude playing faster than my brain can function
@@houtzyboy2 as a player with an upright, you’re 100% right. My piano can barely squeeze a note if it isn’t reset but my teacher’s piano can do it rapidly on a grand. Trying to go that fast is quite a struggle so it’s a pain 🥲

So I've played some relatively difficult pieces in the past, Clair de Lune, some of Debussy's Children's Corner.....and I can safely say that I still have only the slightest comprehension of the absolute difficulty of this piece. Holy cow, well done.

I don’t know how someone’s hands can move at that pace. I can’t even see his hands, they are just a blur. I can only say thank you for posting and for sharing this young man’s gift. Really stunning.

It's definitely not Sped up. He's moving his head back and forth quickly as he follows the tempo and jams, but you can tell by the way his hair bounces, how.is neck moves, and the reverb from the piano in the room that it's actually a live performance with no editing

Actually this guys is just the only person who's figured out how to control time like molding clay in his palms, and he uses this ability to impress all of us with piano, and make us rethink piano playing possibilities to influence the future of piano playing.

Not to boast or anything (so to boast and anything) but I've been playing for 25 years and only in the last few I unlocked this kind of ability and yikes it's amazing to have this much control at these speeds. I think the biggest mistake I made for many years was trying to tell my hands exactly what to do. No. You tell your hands what notes to press and when but they do it on their own. Then they do things you would never have thought of.

Ah, young padawan, this stuff comes with time :) I’ve been playing piano for a *long* time, I’d say my secret trick is being able to identify what it is I find tough about any piece, and playing simplified versions of this challenging thing that slowly work their way up to what I actually need to play.
For example, if the hard thing is a really fast scale, some easier versions would be a slow scale, or a really fast scale where I stop every fourth note or something. You get better at identifying the skills you need to improve this way, and how to make the exercises to improve them, over time as you get more of an intuition of what your hands like and don’t like xP

This Guy Just REALLY REALLY showed us how FAR AND CRAZY people can go with the piano
There were multiple instances where you hit a key, then moved your hand away and hit the next key before the previous one finished resetting. That was crazy, but awesome.
This is the important difference between grand pianos and upright pianos, grands you can play the key again before it resets, and uprights you cannot, now there are some special cases but this is the main rule of thumb because of the way they are built. I have seen very experienced players get flustered moving from a full grand to an upright because they’re muscle memory messes them up

Ive been playing piano for 4 years now and nost pianos do have a delay where the notes come back up, the only things that dont are synthesisers but the other guys right, the fact its a grand piano just adds to the effect, as well as the dude playing faster than my brain can function

I am an 75 year old lady, not a musician, and I am awestruck. I came across Rush E by accident and looked it up on TH-cam. I started listening to one after another rendition before finding this one. I don’t know how someone’s hands can move at that pace. I can’t even see his hands, they are just a blur. I can only say thank you for posting and for sharing this young man’s gift. Really stunning.

I agree. I just saw it in a clip and shazamed it. . . This is fantastic and I'd like to save it to play again. But there doesn't seem to be a save option.
@@tonivandyke underneath bottom right corner of the video, you should see three dots. click on that and then click on "watch later". You can access saved videos on the youtube homepage on the left side of the screen, where it says "watch later with a clock icon next to it.
