Definitely wasn’t straightforward when I first did it. It was in a whiteout, and there are so many false leads, plus the terrain isn’t that tricky for me, so I just climbed up 😅
Thanks for uploading, looks awesome! Genuie thankyou for content, it got me into hiking. I did the northern loop yesterday cos I was worried about the climb being too slippery from the rain on Sat. Loved bouldering along the ridge! Will defs be back for the southern circuit and the climb
@@betterhiking I went up hollow mountain at the Grampians on king's birthday weekend which was nothing compared to that, but I did notice that you get desensitized to the height
I noticed a big change in my approach to exposure once I came back from my climb of Island Peak - I just don't seem phased at all now. Just take your time and think about each movement, I even talk myself through certain moves out loud on the wall like a lunatic!
I took a wrong turn somewhere, lost all the markings, and ended up scaling over the cave wall. This was really challenging. Do not recommend for first ever timers like me.
Haha glad I'm not the only one who missed the cave, the markers are very spread out and take a keen eye to spot. Awesome hike though

Somehow I managed to hike underneath the cave and came out at the top of the cave, good fun
Definetly putting this on the to do list

That’s fantastic mate, good stuff 🤟
Been loving your videos on insta so thought i'd come over here and subscribe. Love the wells cave track .. thanks for the video.
great video! looks pretty anxiety inducing :D if not the exposure, the claustrophobia of that last squeeze through the cave
If you don’t have doubts it’s probably not that fun! I used to be terrified on this kind of thing but shock exposure is what fixes it.

@@betterhiking Ah nothing reassuring like the hike leader talking to themself like a lunatic 🤣
I keep it to myself around others 😆
