Hi Mick We were 130kgs over on the rear axle. Once we dropped the water we were only 50kgs over. With load distribution bars we will have 250kgs of extra weight available from the front Axle. So when we come back to pick up our actual van we will be able to take the boat :)
All is you need upgrade GVM ! Normally Toyota dual cab landcruiser is 3,300 kg GVM . I’ve up grade my suspension into a coil conversation of 3,900kg GVM and 2” lift which comes with airbags in coils. . I hopefully you’ll find it more easy idea of coils or springs.
Hi Blair. We have a 3950kg GVM upgrade already. We are under GVM, it's the rear axle weights that are an issue. When we go back for our new van and to pick up the boat we will put load distribution bars on which should fix the problem :)
Another great video. Look forward to seeing more from you.
Thanks Tim 😊
Enjoy your travels 👍
Thanks guys
Such a juggling act with the weights isnt it! Glad you guys are able to get away and good luck when the new van arrives.
It really is! Can't wait to do it all again in a couple of weeks 🤣 Though it's surprising when you see how little stuff you can take and be content ❤
Absolutely I feel like that everytime we go away in the camper, makes you realise how little you need ❤️
Fingers crossed everything is right for your new van
Thanks guys. Fingers and toes crossed!!!
So what was your rear axle weight when he weighed it? Are you going to be able to get a GVM upgrade that will allow you to take your boat?
