yes. OBD connected cams may draw power when parked. although, some accessory shops offer the option of connecting the 12v socket to direct battery. i remember, i was offered that option in our family car. since i didn[t know much, i just asked them to make it like oem functionality.
i'm adding this to my to do list. But please give us time --- a lot of time. We have only just started looking into dashcams and we'll need to gather enough data and expertise in this area before dishing out any judgements. A 70mai A510S review is in the pipeline. Coming soon.

Bro don't be an idiot. Buy the dashcam. The day you get into an accident with a two wheeler, the mob will beat you up first even if it was not your fault because bigger vehicle is always assumed to be guilty. Even if mob does nothing, family of two wheeler guy will file FIR against you if the biker dies. Then you will have no evidence to prove your innocence. In 90% of cases, judge will sympathize and side with the poor victim if no counter evidence is provided. Dashcam is like an insurance policy. You may never need it but when you do, you will wish you had it.

imagine if a truck hits a car on a highway and the passengers pass away on the spot, then there is very less chance of catching the culprit without dashcam recordings. So i would say that it can also bring justice for the deceased. Also we should start believing that privacy is a myth :)
At least I won't serve my personal life to governments and corporations on a platter. I choose to live with the hope that we can do something about the privacy thing. And raise awareness about it. Even if it's a meaningless effort, it'll at least arrest the accelerating slide down the slippery slope.
Hello sir mujhe july 2024 mai dec 2023 ki tata punch bs 6 phase 2 creative flagship sunroof MT mil rhi hai 10 lacs mai mujhe usse lena chahiye ya nahi?
Yup. Sharp vision. Very few people even know that it's there. I didn't have a tiny usb cable. all dashcams come with a super long cable. connecting that cable with the mirror wouldn't have helped with clearing the clutter. The easy wiring solution is the only reason i even volunteered to review dashcams. We have a few lying around and they're eating dust in a corner. If I find one that meets most of my requirements (cost, value, features, privacy), I may consider installing one in the Comet. Just the front cam.
@@maheshy1 Maybe those short usb cables that come with TWS Earphones can help. A friend of mine has coiled up his extra usb cable and tied it with a zip tie. Not neat, but very efficient! Also, I completely agree with you on the cost, value, feature and privacy part!
so far lega as it does not record people in their private spaces. although, dealers may not like it as they don't want their customer's to know if they really changed the oil during the service or not.
Sometimes dashcams (3rd party) might cause void of warranty. I heard a case of a car catching fire due to dashcam. In these cases, warranty/insurance might be void if you used 3rd party dashcam
that's probably just manufacturer and insurance saving themselves from a warranty/insurance claim. i've heard dealers saying that manufacturer won't give you warranty coverage if you get seatcovers from an unauthorized dealer. mind you, i heard this some 4-5 years ago and this was about a car without thorax airbags. it's profits-over-people for them all the way.
Another con is, you can't use the record feature in buildings or premises where using cameras is prohibited, especially in high security areas that can compromise National security and will land you in trouble.
This is a load bs. Dashcam is an accessory. You can switch off one more of its features which you think is not positive. Dashcam is for a specific use, not for 360 degree monitoring. Don't use click bait just to propagate your personal opinions and views

Chinese dashcams are like installing firecracker in your car . Emergency features related to location based services are made available to everyone via means of and indirectly to China is big concern .
Some of the negatives of dashcam (in this video) doesnt make any sense and it is a perspective of only few people. 1. Basic Dashcams save the video on the memory card and is overwritten continuously (loop). If there is wifi connectivity option, you can download the necessary video to your phone directly for safe keeping. Thats all!! It is not connected to the network or saved in any cloud or online. We allow most permissions in our phones for all apps and these are basic permissions. I don't understand what is the security breach in this basic dashcam setup. There is no cloud storage or login to any server. Most dashcams sold in india have only these features (even with gps). Those dashcams which have features like live tracking, geo-fencing, emergency calls, etc, are costly devices upwards of 25k or more and come with an inbuilt sim for data connectivity. These high end dashcams are widely used in the other countries. 2. Dashcams simply means a video recorder installed in the front windscreen or dashboard. The idea is not to take video recording of the entire car surroundings. When you install cctv at your house, do you install cameras in all angles, every corner, every room?? Most of the accidents or offences can be captured in front of us because that is the direction in which you are driving. If you feel vulnerable, then installing 360° cameras makes some sense (like if you park more regularly in public spots). Rear camera helps to record incidents of those rear ending you in traffic situations. 3. Today, most dashcams sold comes with the option of a hardware kit which helps to record when the car is kept in parking. Parking monitoring option is very useful and it has helped me as well. If you use your car regularly, there is nothing to worry about car battery drain if you use the hardware kit. The hardware kit is connected directly to the car electrical system but it ensures that it doesnt drain car battery beyond 30-40%. 4. One thing most common in cities is traffic police issuing challans wrongly. The reason i bought a dashcam was because i was given a challan wrongly for red light jumping which i didnt. Many won't be able to defend without any proof. Challans for speeding can be verified with dashcam videos and gps logs. 5. In some countries, privacy laws are in place and dashcam videos are not meant to be posted on social media platforms. But again roads are public places and dashcams are not meant for spying on someone else. Dashcams have very specific purpose and if we stick to it, it will benefit anybody.
Just to add another useful fact is that the microphone, gps logs, parking monitoring can be switched off according to our requirements as and when necessary.
As long as you were talking about the benefits of Dashcam, the video was ok. Once you started talking about the cons, except for the battery drain, on certain cases, the rest of items talking about data privacy is rubbish. You already gave your life to Google & why are you cribbing now!!! If you need absolute privacy, stop using your phone & laptop/desktop. Basically stop using internet. In today's life that's the only way to achieve this.
I'm grateful that you took the time to comment and express your concerns. since there's no new information to add, here's a copy of a reply to similar issue from another viewer: perhaps you didn't hear about people getting beaten up and put in jail during covid for not having arogya setu app. imagine justifying to a cop that you don't have a smartphone. They only started taking it easy after the courts intervened and made it clear that the app is optional. If they really cared about the safety, they could have asked google and apple to do it. But they wanted unfiltered access to our data, which google and apple clearly weren't willing to share. so, sharing info with google isn't the same as sharing it with the entire world. I should also mention that the google app on my phone doesn't even have mic access. I'm sure if they wanted to access my mic, they could. But i do what i can. I truly fantasize about living off grid on a farm growing my own fresh and organic produce. I wish i could stop using the smartphone. I use it out of necessity more than convenience.

My cam is turning black screen and shows recording and doesn't show camera views until and unless I press the button once I press the button it is there for a while then again turns off to black screen where visibility is completely back. Please suggest what can be done. (Red Tiger 3 Channel Dashcam)

I use Woodman dashcam which does not have internet to upload videos to cloud..
Just wanted to any ideas to avoid or reduce heating of cam ?
that's a good idea. I'll check them out.
the manual for 70mai dashcam used in this video says that heating up is normal operation. so don't worry. I don't know how hot the woodman gets.
When does the cam heat up? During recording or parking or both?

Hey. I’m confused between buying Kia Carens and MG Astor. Top end model of both. Please can we get a comparison video of same ?
Kia Carens

But content to banana hi hai bhai
Yes
just for sake of views people are doing videos now.. no sense at all in the cons he tells.. if we listen to him,, we should keep hovering drone on our car to have full view of sides also.. foolish cons and talks
Thanks a lot for usefull information❤

Hi.. could you pls suggest good dashcam.. 360 degree camera with parking sensor HD recording in day & night..

I am a qubo user and its been around 1 year,i dont have complaints. It has great night vision quality and has a wide Fov . i had my doubts earlier but it's a great purchase .
Can I stick Dashcam on fast tag?
How is Blaupunkt BP 5.1?
is a normal dashcam connected through cigarette port which gets powered on only when car is on (turns off when car is turned off) bad for car battery? will it eventually result in low battery and car starting problems
yes. OBD connected cams may draw power when parked.
although, some accessory shops offer the option of connecting the 12v socket to direct battery. i remember, i was offered that option in our family car. since i didn[t know much, i just asked them to make it like oem functionality.
You guys are really gems❤

i'm adding this to my to do list. But please give us time --- a lot of time. We have only just started looking into dashcams and we'll need to gather enough data and expertise in this area before dishing out any judgements.

Legal implications wala point is just eye opening. Imagine the spectrum of risk we get ourselves into with a dash cam. A very detailed perspective which no one has touched as of now. Your videos are keeping me hooked onto the edge of the seat. Excellent work... Keep it up 👌

Just mai lene wala tha ...but ab nhi lunga ...
Galti ka andaza to jab accident hota h to public hi bata deti h kiski galti thi
Bro don't be an idiot. Buy the dashcam. The day you get into an accident with a two wheeler, the mob will beat you up first even if it was not your fault because bigger vehicle is always assumed to be guilty. Even if mob does nothing, family of two wheeler guy will file FIR against you if the biker dies. Then you will have no evidence to prove your innocence. In 90% of cases, judge will sympathize and side with the poor victim if no counter evidence is provided.
Dashcam is like an insurance policy. You may never need it but when you do, you will wish you had it.

Dash cams is a must.Cons kuch nahi.. its just that he dint have topic for a vdo. Privacy an all is bullshit.

Can suggest dash cam without cloud
i tried this one (70mai A510): th-cam.com/video/oms_cOZg3N0/w-d-xo.html
if you don't connect it to the phone, it'll still record on the SD card. i'll try other options in next few months and find out more.
@@maheshy1 where u purchased
Already when someone buys a new car here and takes a loan on it via the showroom route I think they do install a tracker of some sort in the car.
Another con could be alongwith battery consumption of car, when we use hardwiring then it can be risky and the service centre officials firstly scare us, discourage us to use any outside accessories and then scare us on warranty issue as they sell extended one as part of package. Please share your input
Sir apke hisab se konsa best hai dashcam
mujhe iska single camera variant acha laga. front camera ki clarity aur HDR shaandar hai. back camera ki itni jarurat nahi feel hui. uski clarity bhi kharab hai.
Very informative video

imagine if a truck hits a car on a highway and the passengers pass away on the spot, then there is very less chance of catching the culprit without dashcam recordings.

It is better to use old/spare mobile (without a SIM) if you have it at home.
What do you think?
Mobile cameras are definitely not for long shoots.. and due to continuous use of power/charge along with camera will result in heating....
Thank you for sharing
Pls make a video comparing the best dashcams available in India
Comet has a USB port under its IRVM for the dash cam ! 7:21 seems like you aren't using it! Maybe a little less wiring hassle :)
Can you offer solutions for all the cons that are mentioned. Considering every problem should have a solution .
I'm beginning to use dashcams for work/product review. once i have some satisfactory solutions, i'll share them with you here
Some of the Hyundai cars come with OEM dashcam, how is that legal in this case?
so far lega as it does not record people in their private spaces. although, dealers may not like it as they don't want their customer's to know if they really changed the oil during the service or not.
Liked the cons
Sometimes dashcams (3rd party) might cause void of warranty. I heard a case of a car catching fire due to dashcam. In these cases, warranty/insurance might be void if you used 3rd party dashcam
that's probably just manufacturer and insurance saving themselves from a warranty/insurance claim.
i've heard dealers saying that manufacturer won't give you warranty coverage if you get seatcovers from an unauthorized dealer. mind you, i heard this some 4-5 years ago and this was about a car without thorax airbags.
it's profits-over-people for them all the way.
I used write these kind of answers in exam. Create the problem for the solution. 😂 Except insurance problem, I don't see any cons in dashcam.
Another con is, you can't use the record feature in buildings or premises where using cameras is prohibited, especially in high security areas that can compromise National security and will land you in trouble.
Thanks.. please share the video in english. It's good content
Dont use smartphone if u r worry abt data security😂.
BTW dashcam is very important.
ok
Nice vedio
Mind-blowing information ❤❤
This is a load bs. Dashcam is an accessory. You can switch off one more of its features which you think is not positive. Dashcam is for a specific use, not for 360 degree monitoring. Don't use click bait just to propagate your personal opinions and views

5:06 companies should give inbuilt dashcam in 360 camera
7:51 I dont see any indian bank serious about data security or even any indian company, they are like: lets leave it on god, what has to happen will happen
5:39 Dashcam ke saath Insurance companies ko bhi expose kar diya. What he said is a fact.
I'm grateful that you took the time to comment and express your concerns. since there's no new information to add, here's a copy of a reply to similar issue from another viewer:
perhaps you didn't hear about people getting beaten up and put in jail during covid for not having arogya setu app.
imagine justifying to a cop that you don't have a smartphone.
If someone sees you have dash cam, then they might harm you to save themselves from blame by stealing the cam or it's memory
Daily hr chez ke liye Adhar data share krne wale janta ko dash cam se privacy violation ka drr...😅😅
