Being an entrepreneur is not easy guys but don't be discouraged. Here's good points. 1. Solve a problem and offer a better solution. So dont think of an idea. Think of a problem to solve. This is very important. 2. When you have a solution to a problem be different meaning you can offer lower cost or offer be quality or better delivery times. Something differentiated. 3. If you don't have large reserves of money it will be hard to compete in mature markets. So better to create a product or service that is innovative. And enter a newer market that's growing. Example a.i, sustainable consumption these markets are growing fast so easier to open a company in this. So live in the future and build something you find interesting and solves an actual problem better than other pelle and do it. Take action. It's easy to operate up a company if you have millions of dollars and compete in mature markets you would take ricardian position. However if low reserves you'd take a entrepreneurial position which involves new growth markets, improving existing product and services and keep it simple.
good choice on football team to support....and i agree.. in life it's best to try to spend our time doing things we love.. otherwise we waste our chance to experience the way life could have been (doing and building up things we love)
That’s good advice for a kid that age and I totally respect that, but sometimes what you love will only get you to a point, the way I see it, you should start a business around what other people want. A great example is whoever invented vaping is not necessarily doing good for humanity, but is making a butt ton of money. Btw I realize that whoever invented vaping probably made it to help people get out of smoking but I was just using it as an example.
@@donnieledbetter780 You don't have to hate what you do, but you also don't have to only do what you want. besides I don't think I would be miserable if I made enough money to retire because by that point I could do whatever I want lol
Solid advice. It's cool how Gary models the type of parent to guide the decisions and work responsibilities to the child, rather than take over the project in the name of the child. So many parents just do ot for the child.
It's actually much harder than this as almost everything is saturated. The first step you'll need to take after picking an area is to copy the competition. But the bottom line is the landscape has completely changed - you'll either need to be a very likable personality or you're going to have to hire someone that is likable to help get business. And then there's the pesky little thing about competitors from China and other countries stealing your ideas 100% and undercutting you until you go bankrupt lol
