    I've watched several videos of you flying beginner drones and you never stick the landing. It's almost encouraging, because it shows how much skill is needed. Anybody can still make some mistakes.

      Ha ha, It is because I’m old FPV school. If you don’t know what skid pads are for drones and why they existed, then check it out & note that I land as if I was still flying in that era.

    Based on your recommendation I bought this 'set'. Coming from a DJI Mini 3 back-ground (and 20 min++ flight times), leaves me greatly disappointed. I'm sure under a skilled fpv flyer, you can get the most out of 2-1/2 minutes of flight time, but as a beginner, I'm barely able to stabilize the drone before the battery is dying, and it won't hold altitude. Am I missing something? Being a 'Beginner fpv' drone, I kind of expected a little more. It's hard to learn 5 min at a time and waiting for an hour for recharge. .

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Unfortunately, and I’ve said this in so many videos, if you fly DJI GPS Camera drones you then have very low skills to fly FPV Drones. This is because your brain has been trained to use one joystick at a time and to let the drone do all the stabilized flying for you. In the FPV hobby there is no such thing. First you need to use both joysticks at the same time with micro movements in all directions. This is why the Pilots that fly FPV are called Pro Drone Pilots in the Advanced hobby. Every FPV Pilot began at level zero and crashed continuously until they got the hang of it. If you continue at it you’ll improve, but you are at level 1 of 99 more to go. Wait until you have to learn how batteries work & how to charge them on a real RC hobby charger. Or having to set up a radio, or understanding a receiver and binding and then configuring in Betaflight configurator. Then there are the different types of video and video transmissions, etc. The kit you have is only designed to get your toe slightly wet into the FPV hobby.

You really seem to take the time to respond to your viewers (and with appropriate context responses)..very rare on YT these days). Thank you; maybe it will rub off on other “creators”. By the way, is this still the drone kit you would recommend, as the video is 10 months old? Thanks again. Philip

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I recommend the Cetus x for anyone coming from DJI MAVIC style drones as such pilots have poor hand/eye coordination due to flying such drones. The Sub250 is a more true FPV drone but it means you need average hand/eye coordination to enjoy it.

Also, I always say what the range is and I always tell people that FPV requires hand/eye coordination. Also I’m not just a drone pilot, I fly planes, helicopters as well. To fly all of these it takes hand/eye skills. I have hundreds of videos that teach and help people along in the FPV hobby. In the Cetus X category you have the normal version and an FC version. If you have bad habits from flying DJI type drones then you’ll feel at home with the FC version. If on the other hand you have flown FPV FLIGHT SIMS in ACRO and AIR modes without crashing, then the WHOOPFLY16 is best for your skills. If you crashed, then the CETUS X normal would be good for your skills. And finally if your hand/eye coordination is terrible, then begin with the AQUILLA16.

      Range works by output power of the Video Transmitter, so I would say if you flew it in your neighborhood you may get a football fields distance if lucky. To get a long range it comes down to output power, which then sucks your battery dry, and as well really good antennas. It worked for years until I could afford FATSHARK FPV goggles that had a focus for each eye. That's for ANALOG drones. Today for DIGITAL drones, the goggles are very expensive but most have a focus for each eye or you can purchase prescription lenses that go over each eye piece (again, all expensive).

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@VincentACoreyHell yes. These RTF kits are ONLY designed to get someone into the FPV hobby and then you upgrade everything to pro gear (if you hav not done your research yet have a look at the cost of good FPV Goggles, Good radio, Good battery charger, Good FPV Drone and you’ll be shocked). FPV is only for people with pilot skills, technical know how, and access to a bank account to get started. When you eventually learn how to fly the sub250 without crashing then you need to make the decision if you are gonna buy ANALOG, HD ZERO, WALKSNAIL or DJI FPV Goggles. After that you’ll buy a pro hobby radio and learn how to create a model, then you’ll buy an RC battery charger and finally you’ll buy an FPV drone compatible with your goggles and radio. It is all baby steps.

      If you fly drones with ANALOG cameras and you wear prescription glasses you either have to get small rimmed menu reading glasses so that you can fit BOX goggles over them, or you can buy FPV BOX goggles that have a detachable screen and then somehow attach it to your radio controller (Banggood has those ones) or if you have deep pockets you can get FATSHARKs goggles that have individual eye pieces and allow for each eye piece to be focused.
