The classical music is one of the many reasons Tomb Raider feels set-apart from all the other 90s gaming icons. "Something Spooky in that Jungle" is my favourite though, it really brings to mind the whole Indiana Jones feeling of being in a foreign culture for so long that it changes your worldview.
Skidoo is such an amazing piece of '90s electronic music that could never be matched again. Yes, it's very much in the zeitgeist of the 90s, but it's just executed so well, with the right timings and every note is immaculate. I love it.
I swear my heart skipped a few beats hearing these tracks, even though I have entire TR playlists. There is something about knowing there are people out there that appreciate the same music. The way you edited this video is divine! The TR anniversary variation on the TR tracks is my favorite, but I love ALL TR tracks. Fantastic video!
TR 1 main theme always gets me emotional. It's like entering the gates of heaven or something, if I don't hear it after passing I'm not dying lol Thank you for your work, I'm always so happy to see you uploaded something!!
Whenever i listen to TR Legend title theme, i always find myself singing along to both the solo female vocals and the chorus. It's that much of a fantastic timeless masterpiece i love unconditionally.
I really loved the theme for Legend more than Anniversary or Underworld. Unfortunately the sorry graphics make me see Piper Halliwell instead of Lara Croft a lot 😅
The Tomb Raider 1 main theme and TR2 Venice track are among the absolute pinnacle of videogame music imo. but really the entire ost for the classic games is beyond incredible. skidoo, tibet, jeep thrills
I love your editing, you’re without a doubt my favorite Tomb Raider channel here on TH-cam. I’d have to say my favorite track in all of Tomb Raider is Longing for Home from the first game, something about it just hits me right in my soul.
The last revelation Theme will forever be my Nr.1 in all of video game history. I have so many memorys attached to it and was absolutly stunned by the intro sequence
The original TR1 theme will always take the cake for me. As a 5 year old playing it for the first time, that song invoked such a strong feeling of wonder and mystery in me. That feeling is only multiplied today. Also, I never realized how AMAZING the main theme of AoD was until now!
It's almost mystifying to me that people could miss TR1 or the AOD theme. But after talking to people I'm beginning to realize that some people have never seen the classic core design tomb raider at all :( (Edited for clarity)
When I was doing a small safari through the jungle in India, I had the driver put on "Something Spooky in That Jungle" and let me tell you it was euphoric.
@@AxMania Spent 4 months going everywhere! From the jungles of Kerala, to Tibet, to the rainforests of the far east. Was honestly a trip of a lifetime and made me feel exactly like a Tomb Raider the entire time. 10/10 recommend!
Gotta be the TLR theme for me. First game i played in the series and still holds up today. Feels like movie quality, and the Egyptian feel is just epic
i hated the tlr theme, and i have not understood it, it was because it had depth i was not ready to deal with (never played through TLR without cheats), but i came to love it even better than the classic... waiting for remasters
So glad to see you finally uploaded a video based around Tomb Raider’s many soundtracks, I have many favourites from the series too with my first mention being the tune called “Vertigo” from Tomb Raider 2 , it’s a shorter but still an uplifting and mysterious version of the iconic theme music, surprisingly it’s only heard playing in 2 levels “ Bartoli’s Hideout” when Lara is climbing the Chandeliers and in my most favourite level ever “Kingdom” as she reaches the golden waterfall secret area.
Yeah, I love Vertigo as well. The only reason I didn't push it into the top 10, is it's length. That may sound like a strange reason, but when there are so many tracks I love, I have to nitpick. I wish Vertigo was 10x longer!
@@AxMania The harp melody from Vertigo was used in the Chronicals theme too I think. Haven't actually played TR5 yet but I've seen the intro cinematic.
Absolutely. The classic Tomb Raider games have the best soundtracks ever, alongside the soundtrack of the game your avatar appears in 😉 I love Nobuo Uematsu's score for Final Fantasy VII.
To me, Vertigo is divine, and some 10.000 times shorter than I would like it to be. Great video, as always! Just keep those lists coming, every list is a joy.
Haha, agreed! The length of it is the reason I gave myself for not having it in my top 10. I have to come up with some reasons, or I'd have 25 tracks in my top 10! 😅 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
That's awesome. Video game music from the 90's was simply phenomenal in general, and not just because of nostalgia as I have discovered a lot of it in my later life. Thank you!
@@ItsTheCostanza that's not what my point is. The older soundtracks are way more memorable where as the new one is just meh. Not bad just not memorable
The car theme from Last Revelation is best track because it's like the snowmobile and Venice ones mixed but in harmonic minor and Egyptian theme makes everything better.
This might be my favourite ranking so far, and that’s saying a lot. I never really think about how many incredible pieces of music there are across the entire Tomb Raider series until you began listing them all. The Puzzle Element is my favourite Tomb Raider track overall and I was so happy to see you rank it so high! It’s hauntingly beautiful.
Wow, thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🥰 The Puzzle Element was actually my favorite for the longest time. It's so beautiful, mysterious and haunting at the same time.
"Congratulations, you did it!"😉. Undoubtedly, this is by far one of the greatest videos you've ever made and possibly one of the hardest for you, since there's so many masterpieces along all the franchise! Specially with both the classic and the Crystal Dynamic games! I was so impressed that you've mentioned Croft manor's theme from legend. It gives me such good vibes and memories of when I was a kid and started playing Tomb Raider and it makes me feel goosebumps and relaxed (I even listen to it every time I study, feel overwhelmed or stressed). Of course, there were some honourable tracks that couldn't be shown here I'd like to mention: 1. "Jeep thrills" from TR the Last Revelation. This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest tracks. You can feel all the adrenaline while Lara is trying to reach the vehicle. 2. "God of a thunder" from Tomb Raider Underworld. I feel that underworld is a very underrated masterpiece. Albeit short, this game has a flawless playability, design, puzzle and storyline. 3. "Pouncing tigers", again from TR Underworld 4. TR 2 main theme. Every single main theme from all TR games are gorgeous, but I think the TR2's is also a masterpiece. Please, keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to watching new videos about Tomb Raider soundtracks! You're the best Tomb Raider channel all over the world ❤🌎
Thank you SO much for your kind words, they mean the world to me. Thank you ❤️ I love all the tracks you've mentioned here. I had both Jeep Thrills and the Tomb Raider 2 Theme in my top 10 at one point. I did numerous iterations on it, before I finally settled on the top 10 I presented in the video. It was SO difficult to make this list, as I had to leave out several tracks that I love. Thank you so much for your comment, and thank you for watching!
No Waiting Around - Part 1 is actually my favorite track in classic Tomb Raider, followed by Vertigo from TR2. The first one is my favorite rendition of the main theme, while Vertigo, despite how short it is, is very memorable as it is only heard once and its placement in the game feels like it's saying "The adventure has only just begun, and you've got a long ways to go."
Yeah, that's the biggest "problem" with Vertigo. It's too short. In fact, it's weirdly short for a track with such a slow build. I absolutely love it though. That's a perfect way to describe it actually.
Starting the video with the absolute bop in La Serpent Rouge! 😍 Great video and I agree with all of your choices. Vertigo is so beautiful and I really wish it had been used much more in the games! I love the Croft Manor theme in Legend 😍 I love replaying this version of Croft Manor over and over again and imagining that I live there 😂 And of course the original Tomb Raider theme is just amazing 😍 That Angel of Darkness theme section was beautiful! So well edited that I almost teared up 😭❤️ Venice Violins always has a special place in my heart ❤️ And thank you for making The Skidoo number 1! It’s my absolute fav! I cannot stop my head from booping whenever I hear it 😍😍😍 This video was amazing! Thank you so much! You made my evening. I was watching this curled up on the couch after a long day 🥰
Hahaha, what else to get the "party" started than La Serpent Rouge, right!? 😃 Thank you so much Suzanne, I'm happy you agree with most of my picks. This was SO. DAMN. HARD to do. I think my list changed 12 times, before I finally settled for this one. I even had Vertigo in 6th place at one point. I justified it as an honorable mention due to it's length though ☹️ I wish it was much longer. The Skidoo just HAD to be number 1! 😍 Love it so much. It's so epic and bad-ass. Thank you so much for your kind words Suzanne, I really appreciate it, and I'm happy you enjoyed the video ❤️🥰
Hey dude, just wanna say, keep up the good work. You've been the calming voice I've needed to chill out to after a week of work or just driving from place to place. Thanks and I look forward to more! ❤
There's a four hour loop of the Legend manor theme on YT. I listen to it when I study and when I need to relax. It's such a comforting, healing piece of music.
Now that I've wiped the tears of nostalgia from my eyes, this list in incredible 🥺 the Original TR theme still makes me emotional, the TR4 theme brings back so many memories and the T-Rex fight in TR1 is just epic. And of course Jeep Thrills from TR4 is such a jam!!! Such wonderful memories.
Haha, it makes me very happy that you enjoyed the ranking! Thank you. It pained me how I couldn't include Jeep Thrills on this list, because I love it too, but... that's the brutal reality of the confinements of a top 10 😫
My Top 10: 1. TRII: Venice Violins. 2. TRII: Lara Play In The Snow // The Skidoo. 3. TRI Main Theme. 4. TRL: Nepal #2. 5. TRL: Croft Manor. 6. TRL: Japan #1. 7. TRI: A Friend Since Gone. 8. TRL Main Theme. 9. TRIV: Jeep Thrills. 10. TRII: Tibetan Foothills. Excellent video! :D (+1).
The skidoo simply had to be first place, I mean come on! If it hadn't been I really would have questioned you as the number one classic TR content creator out here! But all jokes aside, this video was fantastic once again! The way you edited it right onto the beat of each song is amazing, the video simply flew by!
So difficult to choose between these MAGNIFICENT Tomb Raider musical themes. Each Tomb Raider is so unique and so are the musics and Lara Croft herself of course ! Long live Lara Croft, her universe and its musical atmosphere ! ❤❤❤❤
@@AxMania I am sure it was 😊. Good job anyway 😉. You inspired me to use one of them the indian remix Tomb Raider 3 theme for my next ringtone for my phone 🎵🎶 thanx 😉
Great video as always! I'll just give my top 5 songs as well: 5. Something spooky in that jungle (TR 3) 4. Tomb Raider Theme (TR 1) 3. Venice Violins (TR 2) 2. Angel Of Darkness Theme (TR 6) 1. Lara plays in the snow (The Skidoo) (TR 2) I was so happy that my number one pick was yours as well! 😊 I also was a bit surprised to see those two TR Legend tracks on the list. I guess the soundtrack of Legend never was my taste, but I understand why people love it! The theme of TR 4 was always a bit depressing to me, which fits the game but I already felt it in the main menu, so it wasn't my cup of tea as well. I also saw a great power metal version of the Venice Violins, for people who like metal and Tomb Raider that is something great. Thank you so much for the effort of making this video! I love watching these. ❤️
Well, that's an awesome top 5 😃 I'm glad I have all of them on my list. Yeah, the Legend soundtrack seems to be quite divisive, but I just love it. I have a soft spot for it, I guess, because I used it on all my travel home videos I did years back 😅 Yeah, you have a great point about The Last Revelation theme. It feels very sad. I think I've seen that power metal cover as well. The Venice theme is fantastic. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! ❤️
YES! I waited for this video for so long! Thank you for making it! 😄 The music from the Tomb Raider games has followed me my whole life. It's one of the biggest things that I love the most in the games. You did an amazing job. 😍 I could never do it, I love them all too much 😅😂 I love the Croft mansion music too, I often have it on in the background at home. I love everything Troels Bruns work in the game.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 I agree completely, the music of Tomb Raider is incredible. I've even used some of the tracks from the games for private travel home videos I made years ago 😅 Exactly, the Croft Manor theme is basically perfect for any situation, from studying to doing work to meditating etc. 😍
Truly, a ranking more important than anything else! I greatly welcome the praise for the Legend tracks. And I cannot help but repeat some of your picks for my own list: Croft Manor Theme (Legend); TR: Legend Main Theme; TR3 Theme; Croft Manor Theme (Anniversary); Angel of Darkness The two Legend tracks have an immense nostalgia factor for me, and both manor themes have been a mainstay of my studying sessions. I also prefer the one from Legend for how enchanting it sounds; TR3's main theme is also my favourite of the three OGs for similar reasons, as it has always felt the most mystical and epic to me.
Haha, thank you! I just HAD to include those Legend tracks. I adore most of that soundtrack, but those are the standouts for me. I also wanted to feature the Tomb Raider III theme, but I guess I kind of did with No Waiting Around - Part 1. It's such a beautiful theme.
Thank you so much for making this video! The music of this series never fails to give me goosebumps or make me tear up, and Tomb Raider 3 and The Last Revelation's soundtracks both have a special place in my heart, since those are the ones I played during my childhood. Love your content! It constantly reminds me why I love Tomb Raider so much
The nostalgia and the overwhelming amount of joy that I get listening to most of these tracks is out of this world. It just feels incredibly comforting and somehow... hopeful to listen to all of those especially on rainy days, in the evening... I do have a chill playlist compiled out of many Tomb Raider tracks, which sets the mood almost as effectively as some sort of meditation and it's a perfect fit for some casual reading sessions. I love many game franchises, which originated in the 90s, 00s, 10s, but I don't think any soundtrack collection has hit me this hard, there's usually just one or two standouts, but in Tomb Raider's case, it's just endless amount of greatness. Thank you for the video, I am immensely impressed with your ability to narrow down the ranking to just these few tracks, ofc accompanied by your thorough explanations. Great job ! 🙂
I agree completely. The music of Tomb Raider is so precious to me, and I listen to it outside of the games as well. There's just something about the atmosphere of these soundtracks that's really unique. The rainy day setting you describe is just perfect for Tomb Raider music. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! It was incredibly difficult to make this list, and I had to leave several tracks that I love out of it, because... well, that's how a top 10 works ☹️ Once again, thank you.
I think this is your most beautiful video so far!! Really enjoyed it and I totally get you, it must have been a struggle to choose the tracks. My fave is "Longing for Home" (TR1) by the way :)
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🥰 It was so damn hard to make this list. "Longing for Home" is a track I wanted to feature, because I love it, but... oh well, the confinements of a top 10 are brutal.
I'm an avid runner and I have _The Skidoo_ (from TR2), _Jeep Thrills Max_ (from TLR), and _Le Serpent Rouge_ (from AOD) on my playlist and I feel AMAZING each time I hear these tracks! Music and ambience soundtrack is such an important aspect of the whole Tomb Raider experience, and I really appreciate the unique contributions of the various composers we've had so far. I regularily listen to the soundtracks, all of them are great in their own way (but I think AOD is my overall favorite). Your list was awesome by the way; most of these would also be on my list. The main themes of TLR, Legend, and especially AOD are absolutely gorgeous and always manage to make me 'feel something' and bring back some intense memories. One small question though: what did you say exactly at 17:05?
That's awesome! 😃 I can imagine the rush they give you while running. Man, the Tomb Raider music is just incredible. I've used several Tomb Raider tracks for travel home videos I did years back. Thank you so much, I'm happy that you enjoyed the list. It was really difficult to pick out my 10 favorites, as I love all music of the classic Tomb Raider games. It's also nice to hear that you like the Legend theme, as it seems to be very divisive. Haha! 😃 "Well done, Troels" in Danish, basically 😉 Thank you for watching!
@@AxMania It's clearly time for me to watch more Danish crime thrillers then haha but I fully agree with you: Troels Brun Folman has done amazing work for the Tomb Raider series, standing on the shoulder of giants so to speak but bringing his own unique touch to it. While writing my thesis I repeatedly listened to many of his incredible tracks for Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld (especially the soothing manor themes for Legend and Anniversary on repeat, which gave me precisely the atmosphere I needed to overcome some hurdles). I think that you mentioning/honoring LAU on this channel will inevitably give some division, I'm curious what would have happened if you included some tracks from the Young Lara trilogy in your list (such as the SOS Tower from 2013 or Lara's Dream from SOTR) haha
@@MdB92 Haha, yes, do that! We don't exactly have the most attractive language in the world, but... it sounds interesting, I guess 😅 I agree completely, I think he did a phenomenal job. I was very hesitant about including Crystal Dynamics era music in this top 10 as well, especially ahead of so many iconic Core Design era tracks, but I of course have to stay true to my opinion. I know the LAU trilogy is very divisive, but I quite enjoy it. The music of the reboot trilogy is very good, but it has never quite stuck with me. It feels more like film score music, than video game music, if that makes sense? It works perfectly for those games, but aren't necessarily that memorable as standalone pieces.
@@AxMania Yeah I agree, you should always (try to) stay true to your opinion, even if you suspect/know it will be an unpopular one. Then we'll also have something to talk about - it would be a very boring world if everyone would mold themselves to the general consensus. In the case of TR, I definitely have some unpopular opinions as well, but I don't care (it's my personal opinion and I can give my reasoning for it, and that's all that matters). I'm curious if/how you are going to tackle the other Tomb Raider games (AOD and the Crystal Dynamics games). I mostly agree with you on the music for the Young Lara trilogy, it makes sense. The tracks set the mood brilliantly in the game (some segments of 2013 and Shadow immediately come to mind) because they are inherently tied to a very specific part of the game/story, but outside they feel a bit like a fish out of the water. There are some notable exceptions though (like the ones I mentioned in my original post and some others) that are able to break through for me (partially due to the very strong memories that are attached to them) and are memorable on their own. Not as memorable as some of the tracks from McCree or Connelly of course, but as with those tracks still very fitting for the game (segment) in which they featured. Lastly, as a Dutch person I can relate to the language thing lol
Yesss, I’m glad to see the Puzzle Element song on this list, especially as number 2! I listen to it very often when I’m trying to sleep. It’s one of the most memorable TR songs, imo.
Great list! I'll always love the TR Legend soundtrack probably because I've played it the most of all of the games. Also, all the themes by Peter Connelly are masterpieces.
Been hoping for you to create exactly such a ranking - awesome! The tension was really high before you unveiled your #1. The Skidoo is definitely my most loved track of the series, and I almost thought it didn't make your list at all (especially since it's so different to the other tracks as you mentioned). Absolutely love it that it also has that special meaning for you!
Love this! Well done. Puzzle Element is my favourite TR track by a mile, and it's used to effectively in the Jungle and Museum levels. Such a beautiful track. I've only played 1, 2 and 3. But my favourite tracks from those games are (in no particular order)- Vertigo, Longing for Home, She's Cool (the menu music for TR3), Something Spooky, No Waiting Around, Cavern Sewers, The Barking Monastery music, Venice Violins. it's not technically a track, but I love the 'A long way up' ambient music that plays when Lara is doing things like climbing ladders. And TR2 is my favourite version of the theme.
That's an awesome list. I wish I could've put all of them in my top 10 😅 I agree completely, I adore A Long Way Up. I even used it for ambience in a travel video I made a decade ago.
@@AxMania You should do 'top 10 sound effect/ ambience/ incident music list' haha! I have so many- the 'cave' ambience, the Maria Doria 'heartbeat', all the 'stone the crows' bits in TR3 to indicate danger or a mistake', the Tibetan monks chanting the TR theme, the background sounds in the Floating Islands. What I love about the early TR game music, is that while it isn't as elaborate as the later soundtracks. Nathan McCree did an amazing job within the limitations of the technology at the time. He managed to make really emotional and stirring music with quite simple notes. While I love the reimagining with the orchestra, I also appreciate the simplicity of the originals.
Over all the countless years I've played Tomb Raider I have always loved the musical scores. It's just so hard to pick a favourite. But I'm going to pick the original main theme. Congratulations on another great video. Just shows how popular these games still are. Steve 👍
Last Revelations Theme will always be my number one but mostly for nostalgic reasons. This was our game we got to our first PS1 back then. Me and my Brother loved this game so much. Playing it day and night, talking about it, buying magazines to make any progress (^^), enjoying the great atmosphere of the tombs with shivers... together.
That's an awesome memory. Thank you for sharing. The Last Revelation Theme had to be on the list, it's so good. I love it. I totally get your point about that game's one location versus the previous games' multiple locations. It made the story very focused, which was nice.
This was an amazing video again. I got goosebumps, especially with the music from the classics. That music really touches me ❤ For me, the theme that plays in the beginning of Lud's Gate also belongs in a best of list 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 Yeah, the Geordie Bob theme is fantastic. So mysterious - and a little creepy. Unfortunately, I couldn't feature all of my favorites here, as I love many more than just 10 ☹️
Seriously, thank you SO much! That's incredibly kind of you, I really appreciate it. If you have a request or suggestion for a video, please let me know. I'm very grateful for your contribution 🙏
I loved this video. The Last Revelation was my first Tomb Raider as a kid. I can’t count the amount of times I’d put the disk in my PlayStation and let the title screen play over and over again for the epic music. Angel of Darkness, Legend and Anniversary also had the same effect on me with the music. I may have watched parts of this video quite a few times, it transported me back to the joy of discovery these games held. Wonderful video.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really, really appreciate it! Haha, I did the exact same thing back then. I remember how I went through all my Tomb Raider discs one day, just to hear the main theme of each game. Once again, thank you for this wonderful comment 🥰
As always thanks for another great video. I like that you have gone beyond the classic games to make this list. And obviously it is nice to get an opportunity to listen to these great songs again.
Great list! I also really love that mysterious Geordie Bob theme from TR3 and the Von Croy Industry action tune from Chronicles. The gameshow-esque "Puzzle" track from The Last Revelation is a lot of fun too.
You can thank Roland for the sound itself. McCree and Connelly were both using the JV-1080 ROMpler/synth for the first 5 games including most of the ambience. That series of synths was basically a bank of 1990s in varying functionality and with iconic expansion boards, such as the orchestral ones used with Tomb Raider that really defined an era of media composition, not just Tomb Raider. I was lucky enough to pick one up a few weeks back and it's just amazing how good every patch sounds compared to even modern alternatives. Maybe it's nostalgia a little bit but they're just beautiful out of the box unlike a lot of other similar romplers.
Wow you got lucky, perfect way to make every fan jealous 😂 Where did you find all the details about their instruments ? Is there a documentary, interviews ?
@@potipotiron Sadly not but loads of posts about them. Virtually every media composer in the 90s/00s used a Roland JV, XP or XV series box for their "general midi" sounds. I only know because Nathan McCree name dropped the JV-1080 in the synth mixes album for the Tomb Raider suite. Said he originally used two of them together. I only know that the Orchestral expansion boards were used through my own use. I'd recognise those patches anywhere.
Just discovered your channel. I love Tomb Raider, especially LAU as I grew up on them, and always felt not enough people spoke about the older games nowadays, so I’m super stoked about your content! My favourite themes are the Angel of Darkness main theme and Legend’s Rutland fight theme from Ghana :)
Thank you, I really appreciate it! I'm just getting into the LAU games again, so I'll be making videos about them in the future as well 😃 Oh yeah, I love that boss fight theme as well. In fact, all of Ghana has amazing music.
Thank you so much! ❤️ Yeah, I miss it too, but honestly, I wanted to feature 25 tracks, or so, in this top 10 (including Jeep Thrills, which I love too), so I HAD to exclude tracks that I love 😭
The Tomb Raider OSTs are something I can just boot up any day and just go back to the first time I held a Controller (since TR 1 was the very first game I've ever played), and most of the time I discover songs that I can just use as background noise while I work or play something else. Keep up the Good work, it's always great to see creators give love to my favorite gaming franchise period. As for MY top 10: 10: Nepal 2 - TR Legend 9: A Long Way Up - TR2 & 3 8: Jeep Thrills - TR4 7: Vertigo - TR2 6: The Puzzle Element - TR3 5: Tony (the Loon) - TR3 4: Main Menu Theme - TR3 3: Croft Manor - TR Anniversary 2: Longing for Home - TR1 1: Geordie Bob - TR3
I agree. I, too, can listen to the music of Tomb Raider whenever and wherever. It's so atmospheric, and often relaxing. Your list is fantastic, even though we only share one track. I guess that says something about how great these soundtracks are - and how difficult it was to make a top 10 of them!!! 😅
I can't recall how often I've listened to TRL Croft Manors Theme. It gives me some inner peace TRL Main Theme right behind it. TR3 Croft Manor Theme when you push the button on second place and TR2 Venice on first place for me. Awesome list as always. Thanks for the throwback ❤
We very much agree, I see 😃 Nice to know that I'm not the only one who loves the Tomb Raider Legend theme. It seems to be quite divisive. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! ❤️
@@AxMania the TR Anniversary Croft Manor Theme is awesome as well. Thanks to you I've listened through every TR Track from all games today. Amazing journey
I was really excited to see, which songs made it to the ranking after hearing You dislike one of my favourite tracks and put another in the honorable mentions. Nice picks! I really love Your videos!
Haha, sorry about that! The three tracks that made my honorable mentions did so ahead of 12, or so, other tracks, that I also really love and wanted to feature. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Some really good ones in here. I love when previous themes get reimagined like you mentioned with Something Spooky in That Jungle. Also the Angel of Darkness theme, particularly when those little pieces of the Tomb Raider III theme creep in. For all the classic music is amazing, when it comes to the more modern games I feel like Underworld is perhaps underrated with its music. Particularly early game in the Mediterranean and Thailand levels the ambiance created by the music is fantastic. Costal Thailand is one of my favourite Tomb Raider levels ever, hearing the Remnants and Ruins tracks set over those visuals is something else.
I agree completely, especially the "Amongst Sharks and Jellyfish" is gorgeous. That track almost made my list. It was so hard to compile this list, because I love so many tracks from the Tomb Raider series.
I forgot how beautifully done the classic osts were after all this time and really hit that nostalgia more for me after going through this video, so thanks for doing it. I'm still surprised TR2's main theme wasn't on the list.
Thank you so much for watching! Trust me, I wanted to squeeze it into the list, but a top 10 was just way too restrictive for a ranking of tracks from Tomb Raider 😅
Honestly love the TR Legend theme. The first time I heard that about 15 years ago, it's stuck with me ever since. A very memorable track in the series imo. I will say though, I love all the music. I don't remember the last time I ever disliked a single TR soundtrack. 🙂
ost puzzle in last revelation caught me off guard, and then the minotaur theme was out of this world, this game brought me so much serenity, it's not an easy game but when you focus and play seriously it's truly comfortable immersion
Ngl one of my most favorite tracks is the one that chimes whenever you find a secret (the same one you use in all your vids when counting down each pick). There's just something so satisfying of hearing that little chime, especially if you weren't even looking for the secrets and found one accidentally. I use that track for my phone notifications :') Other than that, I think my favorite tracks are "Time to Run part 1" from TR1, and "Enemy Spotted" from TR2. I love how these tracks get my adrenaline pumping bc that's when I know there's an enemy nearby. It's hard to have just a top 10, there's so many amazing tracks (tho I will say that all my faves are probably from TR1-3)! Amazing video
Haha, agreed! It's such a wonderful chime that I associate with very good memories. It's very tricky with Tomb Raider tracks and names, because all tracks seem to have different names from different sources. I'm not even sure which tracks Time to Run - Part 1 and Enemy Spotted are? 😅 It was near impossible to limit these to a top 10, as I basically love all of them. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! ❤️🥰
I felt a twinge in my heart when i heard the croft manor music from Tomb Raider Legend. I havent played that game in a long time and i remember listening to that piece of music while i was on holiday so i began reflecting those memories from when i was 15!
Yeah, I love it so much. And it's great to have in the background for almost ANY occasion: Studying, work, being creative, travelling, working out etc.
What a great video. It is nice to know other people think this music is so amazing. I listen to it regularly and it always gives me goosebumps. Some superb choices as well. It makes me so happy that other people love this music and find so much enjoyment from it. Thank you for doing these wonderful videos.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it! 🥰 And I agree completely, Tomb Raider music is just amazing. I'm sorry for the late reply! Sometimes my TH-cam Studios app doesn't show me notifications for certain comments until much later 😕
So well made video, huge wave of nostalgia hit me while watching this. Good work! I remember that my favorite track was that one from thor room in St Francis Folly in TR1. Too bad you didn't mention it :)
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Trust me, I wanted to include that track as well. Let's face it, a top 10 was way too restrictive for this topic 😅
And to include the Legend Reboot to erm boot 😅 adds so many more epic tracks to choose from. Another truly fantastic video and it just reminds me why I ❤ all the tracks from the Core and Crystal games 😊
The original theme will always be iconic to me. Going from old NES and Sega Genesis to Playstation, Tomb Raider was the first 3D game I played. The menu screen came up and the music was mind blowing. Walking into the Cistern as the music starts was an amazing moment in the game to me.
Tomb Raider 1 main theme is my absolute favorite. I was only 4 years old when my aunt introduced me to Tomb Raider and I had never played a PSX game before that. I'm 30 now, and still break down in tears when I hear this masterpiece. Also I love the disco theme from the angel of darkness.
I feel the same way. The music of the classic Tomb Raider games is so nostalgic and important to me, that it's hard to imagine a life without them. Thank you for sharing this lovely memory.
There is no doubt the TR1 main theme is the most beautiful and memorable pieces of music in all of gaming. It wonderfully sets the mood and is irreplaceable to the franchise. Tomb Raider would not have been the same without it and it remains my favorite music of the series for that reason. But there was a lot of excellent music throughout the franchise. You really broke down the tracks well and we appreciate it so much...these videos must take a long time to make. Outstanding. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada🍁
Very well said, I agree. This ranking was so hard to make, because I love so many tracks from the series. Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it! They do take quite a while to make, and I wish I were a little more effective and fast at making them 😅 Thanks man, cheers!
The original TR1 theme will always be top of the list for me. TR1 was the first game I owned and I was blown away with all of it. It is, and will always be, so special to me.
Ahhhhhhh, lovely. Small surprise on your #1 pick (even though I've only played 2 and 3 all through), getting on that snowmobile for the first time felt like I'd transcended - if only I was able to get over those initial ramps more quickly, I kind of wasted my first time with the score figuring out the controls. I would also have been comfortable if you chose 3's jungle score - really felt like I was deep in the mysteries of India. Glad it was high up there. What is so great about tomb raider music (at least early ones) is it waits for those moments of revelation, content most of the levels for small embellishments on top of atmospheric background sound design (which was also incredibly immersive, and maybe worthy of it's own top 10), and makes the other sounds (tiger roars, traps, and flares fizzing) really pop, until you enter that _special sanctum sanctorum,_ or have a devilish encounter with a cryptid and must fight for your life. Do you know which tomb raider was the first to be actually orchestral? Cause they felt that way right form the start - particularly that Venice music (that you can also play in Croft Manor on the stereo system.
Thank you! That's an excellent analysis of the music of Tomb Raider, I really like that. The music is really used at the most perfect moments, to enhance the setting and atmosphere. I think The Angel of Darkness was the first theme that was performed by an actual orchestra. Believe it or not, but even the Venice theme was played on a keyboard 😐 Must have been so hard to replicate baroque music that way.
@@AxMania Incredible. All the same, it seemed prerecorded, rather then played off the soundcard since all the tracks were housed on the CD - I used to put it in a player and dance off to the tunes of TR2 . Might be why it felt just a little bit more real then many contemporary games.
I love the classic TR ost, The one playing when encountering the T-Rex in TR1 still gives me the chills! And did I mention I LOVE this channel too?? It's great to see people covering these classics :)
Yes, I love the T-Rex theme 😃 It's so intense and stressful following a mostly calm soundtrack. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it!
The way Lara exits at the end of AOD and the music with it always gives me chills. I love this list! I would need to add “She’s Cool” & “Costal Thailand Ruins”
The commentary on the Venice track is brilliant😂 I actually want to honorably mention some of the ambience tracks in the early 5 games too, they capture the atmosphere of the levels in which they are used so precisely. Lastly, TR1/TR2/TRA's main theme can be treated as a group for ranking, they are equally badass.
Haha, was it my wonderful Italian? 😅 Absolutely, the ambient tracks of the classic games are so good. Some of them are really creepy and disturbing as well, but very atmospheric nontheless.
I fantasise about walking down the aisle to Tomb Raider's theme. In a black and white dress. I just don't have the man 😂 This is great timing, I'm coming down from a panic attack/meltdown right now. Your video is relaxing me
The classical music is one of the many reasons Tomb Raider feels set-apart from all the other 90s gaming icons. "Something Spooky in that Jungle" is my favourite though, it really brings to mind the whole Indiana Jones feeling of being in a foreign culture for so long that it changes your worldview.
Exactly, the Tomb Raider games feel completely unique in large part due to this, I think. Yes, absolutely! I love the dangerous jungle vibe of it.
We also had orchestral music in Medal of Honor, that series had amazing design and atmosphere, especially for a shooter.
Skidoo is such an amazing piece of '90s electronic music that could never be matched again. Yes, it's very much in the zeitgeist of the 90s, but it's just executed so well, with the right timings and every note is immaculate. I love it.
Exactly, I agree completely. It's so epic and fits Lara's personality perfectly as well, I think.
It really is such a great track and I've always loved how he incorporated the theme song into it as well. Makes it iconic TR.
Legend's theme is incredible beyond words. The vocals, the sweeping melodies. Its so exciting, heroic and powerful. Gives me goosebumps every time.
I agree completely. I'm glad I'm not alone. The Legend theme seems to be quite divisive.
I like the music in Legend, but I wasn't a fan of how they simplified the puzzles and only gave us half a game.
And the incorporation of a gaelic/celtic song is a great touch as well
I swear my heart skipped a few beats hearing these tracks, even though I have entire TR playlists. There is something about knowing there are people out there that appreciate the same music. The way you edited this video is divine!
The TR anniversary variation on the TR tracks is my favorite, but I love ALL TR tracks. Fantastic video!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 I'm very happy you liked the video!
TR 1 main theme always gets me emotional. It's like entering the gates of heaven or something, if I don't hear it after passing I'm not dying lol
Thank you for your work, I'm always so happy to see you uploaded something!!
Yeah, same here. The harp instrumentation is just ❤️ Haha!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it 🥰
@@AxManiaIt's easy to see why it's an iconic piece of gaming music.
It's my favourite of the entire series. The perfect blend of curiosity, wonder, and isolation as you explore these lost ruins.
The montage of Lara walking with the TR1 theme playing over the top was honestly breathe taking, amazing video as always👍
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Whenever i listen to TR Legend title theme, i always find myself singing along to both the solo female vocals and the chorus. It's that much of a fantastic timeless masterpiece i love unconditionally.
Same, it's a missed opportunity not to hum to those vocals!
Agreed, man, I love that theme so much. It really makes me want to go travel around the world, haha! 😅
Yes, agreed. Classic Tomb Raider music is the best video game music ever, in my opinion. Alongside the soundtrack of Final Fantasy VII, perhaps.
Vandal Hearts a close second
I love your editing, you’re without a doubt my favorite Tomb Raider channel here on TH-cam. I’d have to say my favorite track in all of Tomb Raider is Longing for Home from the first game, something about it just hits me right in my soul.
Wow, thank you so much, that means a lot to me! I agree, I love that track as well. Again, this top 10 was very painful to do 😫
The last revelation Theme will forever be my Nr.1 in all of video game history. I have so many memorys attached to it and was absolutly stunned by the intro sequence
Yeah, it's absolutely gorgeous. What a beautiful piece of music.
The original TR1 theme will always take the cake for me. As a 5 year old playing it for the first time, that song invoked such a strong feeling of wonder and mystery in me. That feeling is only multiplied today.
Also, I never realized how AMAZING the main theme of AoD was until now!
Agreed. It's the perfect theme for the series. I know right? It's stunning.
That sounds absolutely epic. I'm so jealous 😂 Where did you go in India?
@@AxMania Spent 4 months going everywhere! From the jungles of Kerala, to Tibet, to the rainforests of the far east. Was honestly a trip of a lifetime and made me feel exactly like a Tomb Raider the entire time. 10/10 recommend!
Gotta be the TLR theme for me. First game i played in the series and still holds up today. Feels like movie quality, and the Egyptian feel is just epic
Exactly, such a nice touch. I clearly love it as well.
i hated the tlr theme, and i have not understood it, it was because it had depth i was not ready to deal with (never played through TLR without cheats), but i came to love it even better than the classic... waiting for remasters
So many happy childhood memories when i hear those theme songs... Ahhh those were simpler days.... wish i could go back to those days :(
Same ☹️ These tracks are just a rush of nostalgia. Nothing can take me back to the past like the music of Tomb Raider can 🥰
So glad to see you finally uploaded a video based around Tomb Raider’s many soundtracks, I have many favourites from the series too with my first mention being the tune called “Vertigo” from Tomb Raider 2 , it’s a shorter but still an uplifting and mysterious version of the iconic theme music, surprisingly it’s only heard playing in 2 levels “ Bartoli’s Hideout” when Lara is climbing the Chandeliers and in my most favourite level ever “Kingdom” as she reaches the golden waterfall secret area.
This franchise has some of the best soundtracks in video game history ❤
Absolutely. The classic Tomb Raider games have the best soundtracks ever, alongside the soundtrack of the game your avatar appears in 😉 I love Nobuo Uematsu's score for Final Fantasy VII.
@@AxMania 😭❤
To me, Vertigo is divine, and some 10.000 times shorter than I would like it to be.
Great video, as always! Just keep those lists coming, every list is a joy.
Haha, agreed! The length of it is the reason I gave myself for not having it in my top 10. I have to come up with some reasons, or I'd have 25 tracks in my top 10! 😅 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
As a musician, I've drawn heavy inspiration from my childhood games, and your take on #8 just sums that up perfectly. Simple, but so defined
That's awesome. Video game music from the 90's was simply phenomenal in general, and not just because of nostalgia as I have discovered a lot of it in my later life. Thank you!
Man Nathan McRee really was a genius. Such a perfect list, stoked The Puzzle Element made it on
He might very well be my all-time favorite video game composer. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
That one doesn't get enough love - it deserves to be (more) famous. It had the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I first heard it
Tomb raider never lost good music. Even the reboot
Oh the reboot trilogy does not have that same ambiance that older tomb raider oven the legend trilogy had great music overall
@@EvelineE-001thats true. The trilogy is more darker
@@ItsTheCostanza that's not what my point is. The older soundtracks are way more memorable where as the new one is just meh. Not bad just not memorable
Agreed, it's just very different. For me, the reboot trilogy soundtracks are very good, but not as memorable.
@@AxMania oh for sure, they do have the Tomb Raider Venice theme in one of the reboot trilogies.
The car theme from Last Revelation is best track because it's like the snowmobile and Venice ones mixed but in harmonic minor and Egyptian theme makes everything better.
I love that track as well, but it has always been a lesser version of The Skidoo theme in my opinion.
I am 30 years old now and still in love with these games and music.
Me too, except I'm 34 😛 I'll never stop loving these games and their music.
Of course, there were some honourable tracks that couldn't be shown here I'd like to mention:
3. "Pouncing tigers", again from TR Underworld
Thank you ❤️
I love all the tracks you've mentioned here.
I 100% agree with you, finally i know the name of the song, since i always looked for tomb raider 3 end credits song haha
The Croft Manor Theme from Legend is my absolute Favourite !
Very Melancholic in a way, but just really awesome
Absolutely, it's soaked in melancholy and I love it!
Hey dude, just wanna say, keep up the good work. You've been the calming voice I've needed to chill out to after a week of work or just driving from place to place. Thanks and I look forward to more! ❤
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I'm happy to hear that my videos can have that effect, so thank you! 🥰
Fun fact: The Tomb Raider Legend Theme is actually incorporating Scottish Gaelic Song "Ailein Duinn".
Oh, I had no idea! 😮 Very interesting!
There's a four hour loop of the Legend manor theme on YT. I listen to it when I study and when I need to relax. It's such a comforting, healing piece of music.
Same 😃 It's fantastic.
Your commentary is top notch my friend! And yeah you gotta hand it to Nathan McCree for those beautiful nostalgic pieces of music 👌🏻
Thank you so much man, I really appreciate it! Nathan McCree is a musical genius for sure. He's so incredibly talented.
My Top 10:
1. TRII: Venice Violins.
2. TRII: Lara Play In The Snow // The Skidoo.
3. TRI Main Theme.
4. TRL: Nepal #2.
5. TRL: Croft Manor.
6. TRL: Japan #1.
7. TRI: A Friend Since Gone.
8. TRL Main Theme.
9. TRIV: Jeep Thrills.
10. TRII: Tibetan Foothills.
Excellent video! :D (+1).
That's an awesome top 10, right there. I'm very happy to see some love for Tomb Raider Legend as well.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 😃
The skidoo simply had to be first place, I mean come on! If it hadn't been I really would have questioned you as the number one classic TR content creator out here!
But all jokes aside, this video was fantastic once again! The way you edited it right onto the beat of each song is amazing, the video simply flew by!
Hahaha, exactly! I agree. That track is the definition of bad-ass. Thank you so much man, I really appreciate it!
for me it has to be Jeep Thrills. always makes me so excited to play tr4 and it just connects to me sm cuz my mom’s fave tomb raider game is tr4 :,))
I love that, what a nice memory. I love Jeep Thrills as well. It's like a reimagined version of The Skidoo, almost.
So difficult to choose between these MAGNIFICENT Tomb Raider musical themes. Each Tomb Raider is so unique and so are the musics and Lara Croft herself of course ! Long live Lara Croft, her universe and its musical atmosphere ! ❤❤❤❤
I swear, this was the hardest top 10 I've ever made! I wanted to cram 25 tracks, or so, into this top 10 😫 Well said ❤️
@@AxMania I am sure it was 😊. Good job anyway 😉. You inspired me to use one of them the indian remix Tomb Raider 3 theme for my next ringtone for my phone 🎵🎶 thanx 😉
When you’re in the rafters of Bartoli’s Hideout and the acoustic music comes on.
PS1 era Raider and Resident Evil have the music in gaming for me
Oh yes, it's a perfect moment for that track. I wish it was 10x longer!
Don't forget Silent Hill and Final Fantasy music tracks.
I love The Puzzle Element its my absolute favourite I could listen to the Track over and over again 🤩. Great Video 👍
I love it too 😍 It's both beautiful, mysterious and haunting at the same time. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Great video as always! I'll just give my top 5 songs as well:
5. Something spooky in that jungle (TR 3)
4. Tomb Raider Theme (TR 1)
3. Venice Violins (TR 2)
2. Angel Of Darkness Theme (TR 6)
1. Lara plays in the snow (The Skidoo) (TR 2)
I was so happy that my number one pick was yours as well! 😊
I also was a bit surprised to see those two TR Legend tracks on the list.
Didn't know it was a Dane behind this channel. The flawless pronunciation of "Troels Brun Folmann" & "Godt gået Troels" caught me off guard.
Haha tak, jeg troede ellers at min accent afslørede mig 😅
Tomb Raider Suite is a must have for any lover of Tomb Raider music. Love these vids!
Agreed! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🥰
YES! I waited for this video for so long! Thank you for making it! 😄 The music from the Tomb Raider games has followed me my whole life. It's one of the biggest things that I love the most in the games. You did an amazing job. 😍 I could never do it, I love them all too much 😅😂
I love the Croft mansion music too, I often have it on in the background at home. I love everything Troels Bruns work in the game.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 I agree completely, the music of Tomb Raider is incredible. I've even used some of the tracks from the games for private travel home videos I made years ago 😅
Exactly, the Croft Manor theme is basically perfect for any situation, from studying to doing work to meditating etc. 😍
Truly, a ranking more important than anything else! I greatly welcome the praise for the Legend tracks. And I cannot help but repeat some of your picks for my own list:
Croft Manor Theme (Legend); TR: Legend Main Theme; TR3 Theme; Croft Manor Theme (Anniversary); Angel of Darkness
The two Legend tracks have an immense nostalgia factor for me, and both manor themes have been a mainstay of my studying sessions.
It constantly reminds me why I love Tomb Raider so much
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 I feel exactly the same way about the music of Tomb Raider. It's so precious to me.
I remember hearing that last one the first time I finished TR2, it's probably one of my best gaming memory
It's awesome! 😎 Love it so much.
The nostalgia and the overwhelming amount of joy that I get listening to most of these tracks is out of this world. It just feels incredibly comforting and somehow... hopeful to listen to all of those
especially on rainy days, in the evening...
Haha! 😃 "Well done, Troels" in Danish, basically 😉
Thank you for watching!
Yeah, I love it so much. It used to be my favorite Tomb Raider track overall, actually. I even used it for private travel home videos 😅
There is so much nostalgia in this video. I also love TR music, it will be forever in my happiest childhood memories.
Me too, these tracks give me instant nostalgic joy. I'm very happy you enjoyed the video 🥰
Great list! I'll always love the TR Legend soundtrack probably because I've played it the most of all of the games. Also, all the themes by Peter Connelly are masterpieces.
Thank you so much! I agree. Except that Minotaur theme 😅
@@AxMania I also love that one 🤐
Been hoping for you to create exactly such a ranking - awesome! The tension was really high before you unveiled your #1. The Skidoo is definitely my most loved track of the series, and I almost thought it didn't make your list at all (especially since it's so different to the other tracks as you mentioned). Absolutely love it that it also has that special meaning for you!
That's awesome, it makes me happy to read this! 😃 It just HAD to be #1, I adore it. It's so bad-ass and epic 😎
Love this!
Steve 👍
Me too, this was a really difficult ranking to do! 😅 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
@@AxMania Cheers. Always great to watch your videos. Keep at it.
That music really touches me ❤
For me, the theme that plays in the beginning of Lud's Gate also belongs in a best of list 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰 Yeah, the Geordie Bob theme is fantastic. So mysterious - and a little creepy. Unfortunately, I couldn't feature all of my favorites here, as I love many more than just 10 ☹️
Just wanna say thank you, for reliving all those amazing Moments from TR in your Videos! I discovered you just a few days ago! Love the Content!
Such a good video - always such love put into them! I ❤ TR4 theme and the original
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🥰
As always thanks for another great video. I like that you have gone beyond the classic games to make this list. And obviously it is nice to get an opportunity to listen to these great songs again.
Thank you so much for watching! Yeah, I felt like I had to take the entire series into consideration for this video.
@@AxMania Absolute no problem. It is always a pleasure to watch your videos.
It was also fun to hear you speak in danish.
Great list! I also really love that mysterious Geordie Bob theme from TR3 and the Von Croy Industry action tune from Chronicles. The gameshow-esque "Puzzle" track from The Last Revelation is a lot of fun too.
Yeah, so do I. Seriously, a top 10 was waaay too restrictive for this topic 😅
Wow you got lucky, perfect way to make every fan jealous 😂
Where did you find all the details about their instruments ? Is there a documentary, interviews ?
That's very interesting, I didn't know that! Thank you!
Another great video mate! Something spooky in that jungle and the Venice violins are my absolute fave!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Those are clearly some awesome picks 😉
I'm just getting into the LAU games again, so I'll be making videos about them in the future as well 😃
Oh yeah, I love that boss fight theme as well. In fact, all of Ghana has amazing music.
The music for this game makes me so emotional. Thank you for this list! The music from TR3 is absolutely my favorite.
I agree completely! The music of Tomb Raider is absolutely gorgeous!
I love the ranking but I missed Jeep Thrills ❤
As for MY top 10:
10: Nepal 2 - TR Legend
9: A Long Way Up - TR2 & 3
8: Jeep Thrills - TR4
7: Vertigo - TR2
6: The Puzzle Element - TR3
5: Tony (the Loon) - TR3
4: Main Menu Theme - TR3
3: Croft Manor - TR Anniversary
2: Longing for Home - TR1
1: Geordie Bob - TR3
I agree. I, too, can listen to the music of Tomb Raider whenever and wherever. It's so atmospheric, and often relaxing.
Your list is fantastic, even though we only share one track. I guess that says something about how great these soundtracks are - and how difficult it was to make a top 10 of them!!! 😅
The final Natla fight music has always been my favorite. I absolutely love it and cant get enough of it!
Yes, I love that one as well. It was so hard to narrow it down to just 10 😂
Dean Kopri has some of the most slapping TR music covers ever. Thanks so much for recommending him!
Dean Kopri is a musical genious. He's so talented.
This made my whole day! Such an excellent list. My list is pretty the same, actually. The Puzzle Element is my personal favorite.
I'm very happy to hear that, thank you so much! Awesome to see some love for The Puzzle Element 😉
I can't recall how often I've listened to TRL Croft Manors Theme. It gives me some inner peace
TRL Main Theme right behind it.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
videogame OSTs are a very special interest of mine and. I absolutely adore this video!!
also. Your editings make it all even more beautiful, kudos!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰
you got me with that traod theme and the visual. i almost cried
Aww, I hope you enjoyed it!
I'm very happy to read this, as it seems like a lot of Tomb Raider fans don't really like the Legend theme. I obviously adore it!
I still have the OG TR games on PS1 & every now & then, I insert TR2 in a CD player to listen to all the sfx & music tracks for nostalgia 😁
That's awesome. I loved that about the PS1 discs, that they doubled as audio CDs.
ost puzzle in last revelation caught me off guard, and then the minotaur theme was out of this world, this game brought me so much serenity, it's not an easy game but when you focus and play seriously it's truly comfortable immersion
I agree completely.
Ngl one of my most favorite tracks is the one that chimes whenever you find a secret (the same one you use in all your vids when counting down each pick). There's just something so satisfying of hearing that little chime, especially if you weren't even looking for the secrets and found one accidentally. I use that track for my phone notifications :')
Other than that, I think my favorite tracks are "Time to Run part 1" from TR1, and "Enemy Spotted" from TR2.
It was near impossible to limit these to a top 10, as I basically love all of them.
I was waiting for the Skidoo theme the whole video and was relieved to see it, even more as nº1 as I agree
I enjoyed this moment, thank you sir
Thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it!
This must have been one of your harder lists to do 😊 I honestly cannot imagine deciding on a top 10 ❤
It definitely was, thank you for noticing! 🥰 I could've crammed 25 tracks into this top 10, really 😅
And to include the Legend Reboot to erm boot 😅 adds so many more epic tracks to choose from.
Another truly fantastic video and it just reminds me why I ❤ all the tracks from the Core and Crystal games 😊
Awesome topic! Enjoying every sec since i love TRs music themes as well
Thank you, I really appreciate it! I agree, of course. The music of Tomb Raider is just incredible.
The original theme will always be iconic to me. Going from old NES and Sega Genesis to Playstation, Tomb Raider was the first 3D game I played. The menu screen came up and the music was mind blowing. Walking into the Cistern as the music starts was an amazing moment in the game to me.
I agree. It's so beautiful. That moment in The Cistern is indeed great. It perfectly underscores the sense of discovery.
No waiting around PT 1 is so amazing, when the bigger strings come in near the end. Such a rewarding song.
Yes, I agree. It's incredible how well it fits the action in that particular scene.
Thanks for the wonderful experience, i felt really good vibes in this video
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 🥰
I went to one of there shows was an incredible night absolutely loved it & met Nathan McCree lovely fella & very talented.
I'm so jealous! 😅 I wish I had known about them, back when they happened. What an awesome experience you must have had then 😎
@@AxMania if you look up Nathan McCree tomb raider on Google they do have the shows from time to time 👍
There is no doubt the TR1 main theme is the most beautiful and memorable pieces of music in all of gaming.
And Lara casually walks in the coliseum while Pierre shoots at her, not giving AF.
Hahaha, yes, I laughed when I recorded that. I didn't plan for that to happen 😂
The original TR1 theme will always be top of the list for me. TR1 was the first game I owned and I was blown away with all of it. It is, and will always be, so special to me.
Yeah, I obviously adore that theme as well. It's so beautiful.
Thank you for this video, great job!
I would say my personal favorite is "Time to Run" from TR1, lots of adventure movie vibes
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Haha, I love that one as well. It's a little stressful, but it's so iconic.
Same here. The ending, that music. Perfect. Those would be great additions as well!
Your video is relaxing me
Aww, that sounds aweqome. It will hopefully come true one day 😉 Thank you so much, that means the world to me. Please take care 🥰
