Hello there! Here's the improved all-in-one Tomb Raider (4): The Last Revelation Walkthrough. It has been re-rendered to 1440p for better quality preservation, I've touched up the audio so the FMVs do not deafen viewers with their loudness, I've re-done a small segment and corrected a mistake that I did in the original walkthrough and, obviously, I've merged everything together in a neat one big video. This walkthrough holds up even today with its all levels, all secrets, all items and all/most enemies taken out approach, so this is a good chance for majority of my viewers that haven't seen the original videos (which will still stay uploaded) to witness and put this walkthrough to good use. As usual, there's a complete timestamp list for your quick and efficient navigation. On a technical level there are two minor flaws: this was captured when only the old widescreen patch existed, which doesn't compensate the camera/FoV, so this might look a bit zoomed in, same as TR3. Another flaw is that capture software did some weird shenanigans and every time you access inventory the image freezes exactly for one frame seconds before the inventory open. It's very minor, but it bothers me a lot. But even with those issues it's a very high quality walkthrough with a lot of effort put into it. Hope that you're gonna like it!
I am in Cambodia now and I was crying watching the temples, becasue I recognized elements from my favorite childhood game. I was not able to finish 1 episodes for long time I was like 5 so I was knowing every detail of the location 😂
The 90s were the best time to be alive. The only thing I wish was that we'd had phones then like we do now, so I could have kept in touch with my old schoolmates.
This is my favorite TR, it took me 15 years to finally finish it. First I started when I was 13 in 2001 and stuck in Tomb of Semerkhet, after two years (2003) I returned and stuck once again but this time in Lost Library level, than I told myself I will not touch this game again. Over the years I played other classics TR 1,2,3,5,AOD, and Crystal Dynamics trilogy, and in early 2016, I broke my vows and gave TR 4 last chance, after 4 day's I finished, I used solution help once, in pyramid with riddle of goatskin. Guys it's never too late to finish. And yes, this game is pure masterpiece.
@@Talkbookishwithme Yes it does, when I finished first four titles, I found that for every puzzle is pattern, and in every location you need to look around very carefully. And if some of the enemies are unbreakable, there is huge chance that you need to use them for something, for example, to open your door. For me as a foreigner, cut scene was huge problem, because I didn't understand what I was suppose to looking for, because simply I didn't understand the language. Anyway I wish you all the best.

Dont mind me. I just came here for some help. Lol. I got an original playstation and bought all the tomb raider games. Lol. This is the first to come and its been some time since ive played it. Haha. Im so happy.
Amazing video quality. I noticed the video is zoomed in as Lara is seen a little bigger than normal, but I was amazed that picture quality didn't seem to lose one bit. The colors are deep and so rich. Blacks are deep with greater depth.. and the image is sharp too it's not blurry.. I really like that a lot. This is first time I'm seeing such great video quality from TR4 lol. This has got to be the best one thus far. And thanks for the nice resolution. :D
The Advance of technology. And these graphics at that point were something absolutely amazing, the upgrade from the classic graphics of tomb raider 1, 2 and 3. Great. Thank you for this video
Thank you for the beautiful game. I remembered the days when I was young, the most beautiful of days, and these beautiful days will not return, as I and my brothers and friends used to play, but now everyone is busy in his life😢
The last good game by Core game along with chronicles that I completed within a month or so in december 1999 to 2000, a very complex game that many modern gamers find almost impossible to master.
Thanks! I can't decide which one's my favourite among 2, 3 or 4. but 4 was definitely the most beautiful and Lara's handling and movement felt the best.
To think that when I played it as soon as it came out , in 1999 , I finished it three times . Two on PSX and once on PC. And now that I see it, it seems SUPER difficult. I can't believe I've played and finished it so many times. It's my favorite tomb raider
I’ve been thinking the same thing recently! I was 6/7 when the first one came out and I became obsessed! Whenever a new one came out from there I would play endlessly until I completed them and replaying them as an adult I wonder how the HELL I managed to get through them back then and struggle as an adult 😂 even Crash Bandicoot seems impossible these days 😂
Rewatching it after 20+ years and I still like the graphics. Non photorealistic game engines left a lot of artistic freedom for lighting and textures. I really like this artstyle/vibe. I'm happy seeing it reborn nowadays.
The gameplay was super sharp. Can tell you spent a lot of time mastering the game. There were secrets I didn't know were the until I watched this. My only dislike about the walkthrough was that it was rushed; didn't get really good moments of appreciating the surroundings, especially Cleopatra's palaces. Anyway, this game is super nostalgic.
Unfortunately, when it comes to duration 9 hours is already pushing it. I'm afraid that if I were to spend more time on the horizons, there would be more complaints about it, rather than praise. A necessary evil.
This is the only Tomb Raider from the 90s that I ever owned/beat and I loved it. Really looking forward to the new remaster of the first 3 coming in 2024!
this TR has the hardest puzzles, it's insane, also very long, whoever beat it without using a guide is a genius, got stuck at the coastal ruins as a kid
I manage to beat it, got stock countless of times and near the end on the great pyramids I overlooked one one them and continued the game, I missed to get one of the 4 stars, and could not figure it out, as there was not possible way back to the pyramid, spend over 4 month looking for anyone who had hit the game as in the county I lived then there was no internet back in 2001 until found a guy who told me he was stock in the same place and had figured out, no way forward so had to restart the game from a previews save to be able to get the star… nostalgia…
Wow, the best walkthrough I've ever seen and with all items without forgetting one (except the ones on the winner-side of Semerkhet's tomb). When the remaster comes out, I will orientate on this video for getting all items (there's a trophy for that).
This was if not the best one of the best TR games ever made. If only they went back to Egypt with modern graphics and game. This game has so much potential
I remember this was on a demo disc on a dreamcast I had and I would replay it over and over because I was kid and didn't have money to buy the original and I always thought it was too eerie and quiet
Who's here after the official announcement of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness? We're getting another amazing Tomb Raider classic remastered trilogy, folks! Best gaming news of the year so far!
Very interesting and nostalgic watching these old TR games! I am busy playing Legend, and - having also battled through Anniversary and having loved every moment of it - I think I would honestly struggle with the difference in movement and actions that these old games demanded. No grapple, no Zip or Alister in your headphone, no dangling ropes to grab onto, no diary giving clues as to what was going on... Lol. Still a great trip down memory lane watching these walkthroughs!
Definitely a remaster. It's possible if the TR 1-3 Remastered are a success. Let's hope it is so that Aspyr would remaster the second trilogy (TR4,5,6)
Purchased my 1st laptop in 2000, and bought this game in the PC edition. My poor primitive laptop would heat up so much trying to run the graphics! I'd have to shut it down to keep it from spontaneously combusting. Decided to run it with almost bare minimum graphic effects, which helped the heating problem, but made identifying objects and clues in the background very difficult! Myself and a friend would take turns tag-teaming the game in shifts. We both vowed NEVER to use the game guide,...EVER! Until we got stuck. 😐 We spent hours and hours trying to find the solution to this one room. The room was heavily textured with many intricate wall patterns, and my dark laptop screen just would not help us at all. I broke down and bought the official game guide, but it didn't help with this particular room, either! Crap. 😢 My friend finally figured out the puzzle one night, and I completed the game a few days later. I was happy, relieved, and sad all at the same time. I knew that the game experience would never be duplicated again. Such good times. I'll always love this game for that. ❤
As a kid, me and my sister were too afraid to ever get past the mummies. We just kept running and hiding. once we were older we managed to get farther, but not by much. In my mid teens we actually got to the war zone. I forget the exact part where I could never get past, but I always wanted to finish this game. Now we don't own it anymore and nobody remembers the old Lara Croft.
When I got this game after playing a ton of Tomb Raider 2 I just couldn't believe how immersive this game was even on a tiny SD TV where I can see nothing
Thank you so much for making this! I used to watch the Tomb Raider playthhroughs of this youtuber called Badassgamez, but he recently deleted all of his videos. But now that I've found you, I'm a little less sad about that ;-) Thanks for your great work!
Hi, I've had these since around 2013, but TH-cam never picked them up until I glued them together into whole videos. You can find full videos for 1,3,4,5 and part-videos for all 5. Streams too. 2 being my favourite, the videos were the oldest, thus sources didn't look good enough to warrant a big whole video. I do like the series, but I do not focus on it as much as that channel.
younger people are not going to understand how tough this game was because of the controls. do a playthrough even if its just a short clip where you have a camera also showing your hands on the controller
I remember then, everybody hates this game, no news, no nothing special. Personally I prefer IV much more than III, however, I can not explain. It felt so special, so magnificient...thanks for me back this golden memory from then! 😊
Always bugged the hell out of me that they described Horus as a "sun god" and Set's cousin, because he was neither. He was the sky and horizon god and Set's nephew. Also bugged me that Set kicks his arse in five seconds flat in this game.
This is my favourite part of "Tomb Raider". Sure, some levels are hard, but they are not as boring as "Aldwych" in part 3 (I hate that level like the plague). Very nice puzzles, some action and the most beautiful Lara of the whole series.
I remember playing this on the computer and getting stuck at a dragon or something. I was pissed. Then I never played again. Glad I thought to watch this! Only 20 years later 🤣
This game was good. I got stuck in one level and i was stuck there for months until i said forget it and gave up. Im willing to go back and finish this game. It was great. I loved the puzzles
My fave is the TR2, which is less about tombs, funny enough. Still, TR4 has the longest main game of all the 5 classic entries and the dreamcast version was step above the PS1 version, IIRC.
I loved the whole train sequence. So gutted when I completed it and it was over ! Don't recall if I ever finished the whole game but it was great fun. Looks so dated now we've got the likes of zelda's open worlds to compare it to !
I bought a PS1 again just for playing old Tombraider again. The controlls might be outdatet, but I still love the slow gameplay which really gives you the feeling, being a Tomb Raider. Last Revelation ist may favourite game next to the first one.
you should get unlimited ammo and healthpacks if you on a ledge that pointed north. Go to the inventory screen and make sure that the compass is facing north(hang off a north ledge). While in the inventory screen, go to Small Medipack, press and hold L1, L2, R1, R2, up on the directional button and exit the inventory screen by pressing triangle.
😛 In older versions of Tomb Raider, I always liked this move Lara might make after reaching the top of something (Like an overturned levee), as seen at 8:15 minutes. 👍🏾
I beat the chess antic computer and I got a different route other that the autor present here... was interesting I finished the game in '99 and I don't remember this route... I started again Friday and now I'm in the train to Alexandria... I can't believe that the game give me same goosebumps... Cheers... to all fans...
Really great walkthrough but it triggers some kind of PTSD. I've collected all the secrets once using Stella's guide and I don't think I'll touch the game ever again. PS. Yeah, I forgot to mention - I've played TR-2 to 6 without healing and this game was the hardest in this regard despite 'auto-healing' between locations.
I'm surprised it's specifically 4 that is difficult to do no medkits. 2 has a lot of hit-scan enemies. 3 has unavoidable damage drop downs and lots of traps in general.
Special thanks to Sergent Azizas for his bravery, to Jean-Yves for his loyalty and remarkable knowledge, and of course our Lara, despite getting the World in trouble, she always does her best to make things up.
I'm impressed with the language accuracies, the Angkor Wat temple had the correct Khmer script for the time period it was built in, the Egyptian hieroglyphs are real symbols but don't seem to mean anything as they are random and repeated, the Arabic written the weapons container during the car chase in the desert, the Arabic numbers on the license plate of Von Croy's car. The only thing I can find that isn't is where Lara meets her French acquaintance to read a scripture apparently written in Hebrew... it isn't, that writing doesn't even look akin to the modern Hebrew alphabet, never mind the old writing system in which this text would have been actually written in called Aramaic. It almost identical to the Phoenician script. The writing looks more like the Latin alphabet than anything else. Why get all those other things right which would have taken a lot of research and ignore getting the Hebrew right, one of the oldest languages still in use today, many people know how to read and write it, there's no excuse 😂

I used to rent a PS1 from a video store with a memory card & controller to play this years ago before owning a PS1. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Thanks! I can't decide which one's my favourite among 2, 3 or 4. but 4 was definitely the most beautiful and Lara's handling and movement felt the best.
The best soundtrack of Tomb Raider series
This was my first Tomb Raider game. My Dad and I would spend hours playing this on and off. Miss ya Dad.
Your video reminds me of the golden old days full of hope and confidence, thank you.🙂🙂
The Introo!! The nostalgia!!
Bro this is the first game I ever played, this is so nostalgic thank you!
I love this game, my favorite as far! And that's the best walkthrough I've ever seen! ❤
Played this on Dreamcast back in the day. An absolute treasure of the franchise.
Wow. I remember being impressed by the quality of the graphics. Seeing this now though, I realize there was still a lot of imagination needed.
Rewatching it after 20+ years and I still like the graphics. Non photorealistic game engines left a lot of artistic freedom for lighting and textures. I really like this artstyle/vibe. I'm happy seeing it reborn nowadays.
Was only in the stream for the first hour but back to watch the whole thing. Great vid so far!
14:23 That music score does something to my soul.
@@DfactorLongplays Yeah, 9 hours is pushing, totally understand.
I couldn’t even finish the first level 😂
This game has so much potential
such beautiful environments and general ambiance
I use to love her pigtails as a kid
I remember this was on a demo disc on a dreamcast I had and I would replay it over and over because I was kid and didn't have money to buy the original and I always thought it was too eerie and quiet
Watching Lara jump, move and flip around, and the sound of her footsteps, are very relaxing for me. She moves with pure elegance and grace.
the soundscape is very nice in the classic tomb raider games - my favourite is the water sounds when Lara in moving slowly on the surface.
@@danielhall6354 Yes! 💙🌊
I hope they'll have more development time for this one!
It was the game that impressed me the most, wow, what a great year.
Dangling ropes is every person's nightmare when thinking about TR4, TR5. As for Zip, already appears in TR5!
💯💯💯😍 Amazing game. It is the best of the whole collection along with Tomb raider 2.
The series has to be ended after this masterpiece. It was that good.
В этой игре есть уникальные вещи в геймплее и загадках которые делаешь только один раз за игру , это прям зачёт .
Best tomb raider ever, 100% needs a remake or remaster.
Great anecdote. 👍🏽
I cant believe that some genius programmers had such an amazing influence on my childhood
💕 I wish i played it back when it first released ❤️ thanks for this upload 💕 love it 💕
love ur Heather pfp
Got stuck at around the @30:00 stage despite hours of trying as a 10 year old. Most frustrating game ever
Sounds like you hang around the wrong people if they don't remember classic Lara.
@@DfactorLongplays I get that, but do you know anyone under the age of 20 who has even seen the old Tomb Raider games?
@@TheWaterdog6 There are gamers from new generations interested in retro gaming, of course, it's more of a niche thing, but it's there.
When I got this game after playing a ton of Tomb Raider 2 I just couldn't believe how immersive this game was even on a tiny SD TV where I can see nothing
Holy crap i was just thinking they need to remaster this gem
BREAKING NEWS Tomb Raider 4 IS GETTING A REMASTERED
Yessss!
Best game ever.. Please this should be remastered Immediately🎉
I do like the series, but I do not focus on it as much as that channel.
it's reminds me of the great time and how was my childhood to this game ,
younger people are not going to understand how tough this game was because of the controls. do a playthrough even if its just a short clip where you have a camera also showing your hands on the controller
I'm watching your walkthrough for the second time, because I like watching it when I'm having a shit.
Health warning: too many longplays in the restroom may result in hemorrhoids.
@@DfactorLongplays indeed
Best sound design and soundtrack ever...
Yeah 😛
I remember then, everybody hates this game, no news, no nothing special. Personally I prefer IV much more than III, however, I can not explain. It felt so special, so magnificient...thanks for me back this golden memory from then! 😊
This masterpiece is getting a remaster!
The nostalgia from the character voices, the graphics, and ambient sounds hitting me like a brick. First game I remember playing as a child.
8:29
Werner: "This is a high fall, you should lower yourself down to be safe"
Lara: *Fucking swan dives off the edge*
Checkmate, old man.
First time I've played UK levels, I'd get constantly stuck. In metro especially.
I remember playing this on the computer and getting stuck at a dragon or something. I was pissed. Then I never played again. Glad I thought to watch this! Only 20 years later 🤣
Poor Lara was stuck there for so long
This and the third were the Best of those Days.... ☺️
This game was good. I got stuck in one level and i was stuck there for months until i said forget it and gave up. Im willing to go back and finish this game. It was great. I loved the puzzles
omg u have to, theres so many places
I played this on the Dreamcast this was one of the best sequels of the game
My fave is the TR2, which is less about tombs, funny enough.
Still, TR4 has the longest main game of all the 5 classic entries and the dreamcast version was step above the PS1 version, IIRC.
I loved the whole train sequence. So gutted when I completed it and it was over ! Don't recall if I ever finished the whole game but it was great fun. Looks so dated now we've got the likes of zelda's open worlds to compare it to !
Yeah, being on a moving train is probably the most memorable part of this game!
Can you say what button does like" hold action, jump, etc" because that will make it easier to understand
this is on a PC. That cheat won't work.
36:21 I remember as a kid it took me DAYS to figure out this puzzle
Memories and good days good times 😢
Its the little things for me. Like how Laras foot falls have a sort of tempo as she runs up or down the stairs. You dont forget beats like that.
The only action game I ever played from start to finish.
AHHH, Cleopatra's tomb, my favorite part of the game!
“Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation” is the first 3D computer game I played
Never was able to beat the game :( I was too little and stupid to Do it. Thanks for the video of Old and oneandonly Lara !
😛
In older versions of Tomb Raider, I always liked this move Lara might make after reaching the top of something
(Like an overturned levee), as seen at 8:15 minutes.
👍🏾
I beat the chess antic computer and I got a different route other that the autor present here... was interesting
I finished the game in '99 and I don't remember this route...
I started again Friday and now I'm in the train to Alexandria...
I can't believe that the game give me same goosebumps...
Cheers... to all fans...
By winning the chess game the player gets to skip to the next level, missing out on the secrets that can be obtained only on the "punishment" route.
I remember playing this, it was a good game, I would love if they made it for PS5
Have no ps5 😭
Really great walkthrough but it triggers some kind of PTSD. I've collected all the secrets once using Stella's guide and I don't think I'll touch the game ever again.
PS. Yeah, I forgot to mention - I've played TR-2 to 6 without healing and this game was the hardest in this regard despite 'auto-healing' between locations.
I'm surprised it's specifically 4 that is difficult to do no medkits.
2 has a lot of hit-scan enemies. 3 has unavoidable damage drop downs and lots of traps in general.
@@DfactorLongplays And ice cold water is fun too. I don't know. May be damage in those games felt more fair...
Special thanks to Sergent Azizas for his bravery, to Jean-Yves for his loyalty and remarkable knowledge, and of course our Lara, despite getting the World in trouble, she always does her best to make things up.
A remastered version would be great❤
I'm impressed with the language accuracies, the Angkor Wat temple had the correct Khmer script for the time period it was built in, the Egyptian hieroglyphs are real symbols but don't seem to mean anything as they are random and repeated, the Arabic written the weapons container during the car chase in the desert, the Arabic numbers on the license plate of Von Croy's car.
