2 months ago I posted a comment on this video. I was frustrated with God, for not answering our prayer for a child. I asked all of you to pray for us. My wife is now pregnant. I wish I could reach out to every person who prayed for us. I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I've had more encouragement on this page from people I dont know, than my own family. Thank you so much for the prayers everyone. I am at a loss for words. Thank you! God bless all of you!

2. If it is achievable and doing it would fulfill one of the command in the Bible
3. Strong desire to do something even though the personal benefit is not present (No personal gain or recognition but still you earnestly want to do it)
4. If you desire more of God, you can be assured that it is from God

I fully appreciate using scripture as a Christian to contribute to conversation. Im sure you habe positive motives. But when talking to another christian about finding the right spouse (god says a man who FINDS a wife a good thing) responses like this are near useless. It doesnt tell me anything to practically do! Some christians think delighting in the lord means sitting on your butt amd waiting for angels to tell you who to date. That never happens! Whats better is practical advice related to physical action, which this channel gives.
@@PolishBehemoth the practical part, for us to DO, is delight ourselves in the Lord. To me that means get to know Him and His Word. Matthew 6:33 is my fave verse because that's where Jesus is saying "seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things (stuff he was talking about just before this, like our needs) shall be added unto you." We can't be delighted in the Lord if we don't know Him. Once we're happy single, then we can be happy with others❤

I saw heaven. I'm terrified to share my story and could use some support!!
Before I got saved, I was always planning to get married, but not until like my late 20's as my career comes first. However, since I've gotten saved, my mindset on marriage has changed. I deeply want to be married now and grow through life with her and serve God with her. I just wanna make sure I'm right with the lord before he sends her. I do believe this desire is from him. I can't wait to marry the LOML!
It's good to hear some men think the desire for intimacy is before commitment. It is accurate, and it is hard to explain to many.
This is why we must keep praying for our loved ones. The desire of the Lord is to save the lost and there can never be any doubt of that. keep your heart filled with grace, truth, love and the Word of God.

I’d like to add one. If it’s something you can’t do yourself and only God can bring through, it may be a Godly desire. God wants us to depend on him. The process of stepping into the things he has for has will always push us closer to him. If it’s something that doesn’t stretch you in your relationship with him, it may not be him.

If nobody on this earth will ever want to be with me then I want to be with the Lord, because I know that He will want me, He will take me, and He love me more than anyone else can. I don’t deserve that love, I don’t deserve any good thing that comes from Him, but as long as He is with me then I don’t care, for what I receive on this earth is only temporary.

A revelation I received from the Lord is that when His word says delight, it means that when you delight meaning like praise. Him and worship Him and enjoy His presence that He puts a desire in your heart for something He wants to give you. Is not that if you delight yourself in Him He will give you whatever you want.

Well, the Bible says that, " The word is so simple that a fool cannot error..." It does say, "... Give you the desire of your heart." Seems strait forwarded enough to me.
There are 2 ways to see this scripture. I'm seeing the 1 your referring to for the very first time. Praise him for a spirit of Revelation!
I remember our pastor teaching us that some years ago. It really changed my perspective & I have found it to be true.
If your relationship doesn't glorify God then it just glorifies itself, or yourself.

I hope it’s ok to say but I pray for you and your family a lot. I feel like the weight of ministry can be heavy sometimes but you are not doing it alone. You and your are in union with God. It’s almost like you pray together, spiritually you are in a prayer circle and holding hands and Jesus is holding hands with you.

I just want to give a brief testimony about this desire from God. I was driving back home from work one night going down this 2 lane highway with woods on either side. I began to fervently desire godly friends with whom I could share my struggles and triumphs in the Lord and thereby grow in the Lord. So I began to pray - Dear God in heaven please lead me to a godly friend or friends! As soon as I uttered the last word my eyes shifted right and saw a hand-painted sign on a stake planted on that side of the road. It said "Matt. 6:33". Seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness. That honestly wasn't what I wanted to hear right then but I knew that I would be at risk of being deceived by "godly" friends, who weren't truly godly, unless I put HIM first and foremost. It took about a year, and during which time I even forgot I had prayed, and also during that time several "godly" friends came and went. I now have those friends who have stood the test of time, praise God! But I did have to wait a while even though I knew this was a godly desire.

@Glory thats literally almost exactly the opposite of what his first poimt said. He said something may be from god but you have no way to confirm it. Sitting aroumd waiting dor angelic confirmation just to go on a date is stupid. You have put yourself out there like everybody else.
How long do you suggest? 10,20,30 years? That's when the biological clock begins to wind down. Soon afterwards, it's too late in the game.

I just pray for a family of my own. I want to be married to a nice lady but I'm getting on in years and feel so lonely. It's easy enough to keep my mind off it while at work but at home alone I get really sad. I've lived mostly alone all my life and it's no fun.
I am 58 and still waiting for the "right guy". Always wanted to be a pastor's wife, but never found a 'single' one (all married).
I know how you feel. Today I work with the homeless youth, and they have become my street children. Lots had lousy parents, and they yearn for love, caring, support, structure, advise...and hey, don't we have a lot of all that since we didn't get to use it on our own biologicals?
God puts you were you need to be, and sometimes where THEY need you to be.
I tried leaving them for a 'normal' life, but went crazy missing them, like a missing piece in a puzzle.

@@luthermcgee7297 I'm 53. I work in the medical field and am around LOTS of women. Majority are married. I'm not going there. Or there early 20's. Not interested. I talk to all of them. All the time. The ones my age are married, their friends are married etc. The younger ones, well I'm older than their parents. I've dated a lot but I think women are intimidated by the fact that I have a beautiful home that's paid for, nice car, several other toys, I don't smoke or drink. I've been told that I don't need "fixing" so I'm not a worthy "project". A project is restoring an antique car. I'm not getting a dozen tattoos, a criminal record etc just to become more attractive to women. I've asked women to be honest and describe just what kind of guy they are looking for. Some have just about described me down to the color of my eyes and there's always the "but". I'm at a total loss . Tried the computer sites for dating. Waste of money. Blind dates? Never again.

My friend, be careful @2:55. Many times the thing that God may have for you to do is out-of-reach in the natural. He expects us to believe in faith when the way through is NOT clear or obvious. If you only believe for things you can achieve on your own, you will never live in the miraculous...

When I read James 1:27 I have inside of me a strong desire to help people and support them while sharing the gospel , I thought this desire was mine but it is from God.

Nice to know that this desire is from the LORD, and not just from my personal wishes. I would like to glorify the LORD in my life and be in ministry and it seems that this type of ministry would be more effective with a married couple than as a single woman. Evangelizing can be tricky as a single woman because sometimes the wrong message is perceived. And mission work is healthier in my opinion in either a group setting, or as a married couple. So, with those two areas of service that are dear to my heart, I know the LORD will.make a way for my intended husband and I to serve HIM. Wherever that may be..here in the U.S. or in Africa, or wherever HE leads. For HIS glory always!😘🧔💕

The Bible truly can be confusing when it is misinterpreted or not fully explained. Thank you for making these videos because they really do help me a lot. I try and live out everyday of my life through God's glory, but sometimes I don't know which direction he is trying to point me in. I know he hears my prayers, but I don't know if he is going to meet my needs. Please pray for me because I really need help and God is the only one who can help me. My prayer request is unspoken, but still please pray for me. Life isn't always as easy and clear as I wish it was.
My desire is from God. We haven't met yet. He was always my first choice. That's never changed. Word up! 😊❤

I love this girl after seeing her a few times. I was actually praying God for a long time. Then she came to me. But she's not ready for it, she told me of the issues that she has in her family.
The first few nights I agonised because we haven't talk like we talk the first time with passion and whatnot. But now I realised she has many things to deal with.
I will always Love her and be available for her. I don't know how I can help but I hope she will go through it.
I think God gave her into my life because he wants to teach me about Patience. That I should persist through it and think about her, not myself. He also wants to teach me about Love, to love unconditionally. And let me feel the feeling of not being able to receive it back, or when we give love but is neglected. Just as I neglected God's love before. But his grace is immense. I want to be this kind of a person to her. Ready to welcome her into my arms and hug her anytime.

Interesting..I feel like I'm in that girl's position to some extent myself. Which is admittedly tumultuous for me, but I can imagine being on the other end of this isn't any better. Regardless, I sense mental illness is a significant contributor here on hers, which I take it she's going through. At least, I know it is for myself.
And maybe this has no correlation on my situation, and the point I made isn't the issue for her..nor the one for mine, and I struggle with immense doubt, so maybe it's all more complicated. Mine is also platonic, which I don't know of that's the case for you guys either..But it all hits enough dots that I feel its a sort of answer to a prayer of mine, which is worth to mention.
But if that's neither the case, it still speaks to be regardless. So, thank you for sharing. It's incredibly humbling and gives me alot to reflect-and on top of that, admirable. As your compassion is clear to me. God bless you immensely.

You can know if the desire is from GOD if
1. The desire is specifically named in the bible.
2. A desire is from GOD if following the desire will lead you to obey a specific command in the bible.
3. A strong desire to do something even if you know there is very little self-benefit, this often is the sign that GOD is giving you this desire.
4. This desire makes you desire more of GOD, than you can be certain that this is from GOD

I have deeply desire to marry a "Boaz" and have my own children. Am 44 years woman. Been single for 10 years. Frankly this is hard for me sometimes in waiting period & preparation. I trust that on the Father Timing grant your request to have a loving husband (if you’re a woman) or a loving wife (if you’re a man. Shalom

I know that my husband is my twin and the man that he had for me to marry because he gave us both confirmation in different ways. He showed me in a dream. I meet Jesus himself in my dream with the exact way that it describes him into the bible with the flameing fire red eyes like torches in Revelation. And Jesus was telling me about husbands and i asked if he was my husband not realizing at first that he was Jesus and i was heaven. He said No; i am not your husband and he told me to go in this door a room and I'm shorting this dream and he said open your eyes and it was my husband laying in front of me smiling but i was still dreaming and thene one of our kids had came into our room and woked me up. And this is when i new for certain that my husband is truly the one that God has for me. My husband was not surprised and i told him what Jesus looked like to what i could describe. I had been praying all of the time, consisted for our Lord to reveal it to me at that time and that i wanted to be certain before going further.

Be careful sometimes because just because you do not immediately get something. Does not mean God is not in it. The desire God gives you could be a reminder that he will give it to you. But not in your time. How do we know this for a fact. Abraham waited a long time before he got a child. Job suffered much and did not get much in the beginning, not until God was finished showing the Devil how faithful Job was to him. It is one of the main reasons God tells us to study his word. Not pick out the verses that we like. Also remember when Jesus told us the story about the woman and the unjust judge. Also in Genesis God reminds us that It is not good that man should be alone. So he created him a mate.

So I loved your explication of the last scripture in psalms because I always had questions about it "delight in Him and He will give you the desires of my heart"...thank you for breaking that down in such a lovely way and I wholeheartedly agree that....our chief desire even to those who don't realize it yet is to desire the Lord, and that is our heart's prime desire. And what you said about not idolizing anything before our relationship with the Lord was key too, as many have fall short in that area....for example: loving material things or a spouse more than the lord. While the Bible explicitly states to hold our spouse in high esteem, it also explicitly states to make Jesus our center as said in Matthew 6:33. Pray for my husband and I, right now we are separated and I am struggling, I keep praying God will either take away my diser to be with my husband or bring us back together rather quickly it's been 4 months and I've been told my husband is getting the help he's needed, but my marriage is still up in the air💔😭. I've been so faithful and my heart just wants to be with my husband serving god and doing right but I know my husband has to want the same ❤️💔😭

I just had a thought that came to me in your second point. I 100% agree with this point. However, it got me thinking…What if, sometimes the Lord calls us to things that initially look impossible to achieve? I think sometimes He will place things in our life that cause us to say “There’s no way I will ever be able to achieve this in my own strength.” I think He has a wonderful way of causing us to dream big dreams, knowing that the only way we can ever accomplish them is by His anointing and blessing. It shifts our focus from ourselves, to the limitless power accessible to Him.
I say again, just thinking out loud here. I am by no means trying to cast stones at you, or your content. I just love engaging in dialogue with fellow God chasers. I love you bro! Keep changin the world!

The guy I’ve liked for four years and I decided to not seeing each other. We’ve dated two times, but we often rush instead of taking things slowly-like him truly seeking wise counsel, him being under authority, him also being mentored and sold out for Jesus. I’ve seen him like this before, but I see he’s not fully ready to be the man I desire him to be and also for me to be the encouragement and have the self-control (rushing as in text messages or getting nervous about things). Please pray for us both to truly be fully seeking the Lord Matthew 6:33.
