    Visiting India, I managed to purchase one of these after calling a dealer for the past 4 weeks. This model is VERY hard to find here in India right now what with the global chip shortage. As compared to the Kawai ES920 which I also own, two big advantages as far as I'm concerned:
    1. You can adjust the volume of the AUX and other input volumes on the dgx670 which you can NOT in the es920. This is great for online piano apps like Piano Marvel which I use and love. The piano sends out USB signals to a laptop running the app, and the sound output is played on the piano's speakers. Or you can have a great jam session with the dgx670 mixing a microphone, cellphone music, and your piano playing! How grand is that!
    2. On the es920 background rhythms, called Styles in the dgx, you have to painstakingly scroll through about a hundred of them to find what you want. In the dgx670 there are 8 banks so it is much much easier to pick the rhythm you want/like! Kawai really needs to do something about this!

    Great review!! (and playing!) I'm working to get back into piano and you covered all the things I am concerned about, saying how this instrument has so much to keep you interested and wanting to explore piano and music. How did you connect the sound for this video? I think it sounded great watching it, but many people say the speakers are a weak point. Would like to hear what you think.

      Best way to connect the sound to a speaker as at gig. Great question. I think an average instrument cable right to a powered speaker is ok. It seems to be in mono that way. I suppose the TRS to 2/split TS would be cool but I just wanna keep it simple for the simple gigs I play.

    Hi Justin nice review. Could you maybe do a showcase of the upgraded Super Articulation voices and new 4-variation styles of this model? Thank you so much,.

    Word is that the DGX-670 could be available in the US by October! Not October 2021, of course, but enjoy the videos anyway.

    Quali sono le differenze tra clavinova cvp 701 e dgx 670 avendo già una cvp 701 comprare una dgx 670 significherebbe avere 2 strumenti uguali mi riferisco al modulo sonoro grazie

    How can you see chords without backing tracks?" Can we just choose a piano sound and try to work out the chord on our own? For example, if we flat the 3rd in real time we would see it go to a minor chord and then if we sharpen it we would see it go back to a major chord. Is that possible on the 670?

      Talk about sticker shock...!! But here in India the sticker shock is the price, which is about $300 (USA dollars) more than in the USA because of the large amount of taxes and import duties.

    Could you say that DGX-670 is a better choice than Korg Havian 30?

  • @geezerintotech

    Does anybody know a good alternative to the Yamaha DGX series? Because from what I can tell the DGX series has over 600 different instruments and other portable digital pianos don't offer anywhere near the level of voices? The only thing I can imagine comes close is the Casio PX560 which is no discontinued.
    I'm looking for something like the Yamaha DGX 660/670 but perhaps with better speakers and a better keyboard in terms of the touch.
    Can somebody help?

      @@lequimper Ok great I'll look into that! The DGX just seems to have so many different options and voices! I don't know how important this is though!

    • @geezerintotech
      @geezerintotech 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fksimpson5755 that's one really neat looking piano. Do you know how it compares to the DGX 670 in terms of the functions it is able to offer? Most pianos I am looking at have mainly piano functions, but very little in terms of the midi voices which seems quite cool!
      How do you find the sound of the piano and feel of the keys?
