I find it fascinating that no one seem to have connected that Jokers “Rebels Guard” as a reference to not only to the Guard mechanic of the Persona Games, but also references an accessory found in Persona 3, 5, and maybe 4 (never played 4 but it should be there). The accessory is the “Divine Pillar” which halves all incoming damage, just like “Rebel’s Guard”, AND and in Smash using it keeps you from moving, while in Persona 5 it removes the users ability to evade any attack.

Fun obscure fact about Eiha (that I'm actually a little surprised you didn't pick up on, Johne!) - its status as a damage-over-time effect actually comes from its original appearance in Persona 1 (which Sakurai played back in the day), where it dealt a small amount of Death-type damage each turn. The upgraded forms were different than the P5 versions (Baeiha and Maeiha for small AoE medium damage and all foes high damage, respectively), so they went with the modern Eigaon rather than the old name.

yes buuut if you want a more detailed answear yes yes it is it's stylish it's groovy if not for the gameplay play it for the story or the music it's great
its a good game if your interested in its genre, its heavily a turn based rpg game and when your not fighting you can explore and go to school, the game has time constraints where you can only do so many actions a day so it might be a bit hard to get into if your not interested in those sorts of games, however if your like me i never really liked those yet the game quickly grew on me its really fun once you get the hang of it
