The colorful purse on the jewelry table is a Mola from Panama. Some of those are worth a lot of money. Fabric is layered and designs cut in the top fabric to reveal the color below and the cut edges folded back and hand sewn down. It can go to another layer below. Older ones and more intricate ones often sell for over a hundred dollars. People frame them and hang them as art.

Dog Butler Hound Sculpture with Serving Tray Vintage Bombay Company 1998 is probably what you have. Worked for that company back in the day. There’s one on Etsy for over $800, so nice find.

yea we are learning more about glass - and i have heard polish bottoms are good
@@beardedthriftmachine Polished bottoms are a good start but they also have to be symmetrical. Some Chinese glass pieces are also polished but not perfectly round.

Also. Chinese glass has imperfections and bubbles in it. Bohemian glass however is really well made. It’s only frequent trips to antique malls just for research sake that helps you see the differences.
Sometimes the bottoms of those glass pieces are signed in barely imperceptible marks too--marks are always good.
Here in Texas we make more selling 50cent bottles of water than anything else at our yard sales. 😂 I can't believe you found Rat Fink! ❤

I can relate to the old guys getting rid of stuff. We just moved and were amazed at how much we had to give away. No dog tables but a concrete Basset Hound that had been in the garden for thirty years. I'm glad you found some great bargains. Thanks!

I always keep $500 in an envelope. It goes into the locked glove box to be used if needed. Then it goes back into the safe until the next time out buying. 😊
My dad had a lunchbox like the aluminum one that was on that table there with the leather handle on it.

those muck boots are a great buy we live in wisconsin on a dairy farm and those boots my husband swears by for keeping his feet dry and warm and when you spend all day in well below freezing temps you definitely figure out how to keep warm. they also hold up very well they last a lot longer than most before wearing out and they are not cheap new
I went to 1 yard sale this weekend and it was a retail store in the people's garage. They even had a cash register. I was so bummed.
Some great finds. I hope you picked up all the Rat Fink items. The Harley shirt from Colboch Harley is not far from me, And as of Jan 31, 2024 Harley Davidson terminated a 65 year contract with them due to corporate downsizing. They are still in business, but as Colboch Motorcycle Sales. That shirt could be more valuable than you think as they do not exist anymore. Fantastic sale at the end, you needed Dad's truck to haul that load! Keep Hustlin'!!
You know the saying "you don't regret what you pick as much as what you don't pick". Well, this reminds me about the one pick I passed on that haunts me the most. I was at a garage sale, and they had 20 brand new Harley tees from all over the U.S for $5 each. I had just started reselling, so I wasn't confident enough to put out the money. Still haunts me.
Mine is, I passed up an old oriental rug runner, because it was rough and dusty.?!

what makes it murano? more the style some where it was made?
@@beardedthriftmachine Murano's an island in Italy known for its glass-making. There are glass pieces marked as Murano that aren't Murano (fake stickers, etc.) so you have to be careful when buying them.

The Rat Fink stuff immediately transformed me to the 60s when I was in my Jr. High model building phase! Great finds at the hot rodder's sale. I'd never leave a shift knob behind. And the Thrush muffler / Rat Fink canister set, you didn't pick up? Awesomeness, but shipping challenge, I get it. (I'm also a "hobby reseller") Still, WOW what great finds all around. Plus I'm a Harley rider. 😀Enjoyed this one an lot.
