Hey! One of the commenters on this video pointed out I made a mistake. I had forgotten about the International Trade Building for the Financial District. I went back in and tested a couple things out: 1. When placed near the stock exchange it had a rough increase in income for the district by 5%. 2. When used on a separate district of the same size it had an approximate 13% loss of income. (Edit: Comparative to the equivalent district with only a level 5 stock exchange.) 3. Without a stock exchange, it does not increase income at all. Keep in mind, the International Trade Building has an upkeep cost of $2 000 / week. Thanks again to @RustyWalker for pointing that out. :)
There's another unlock in financial, the International Trade Building, whose coverage could overlap with the SE to max out the tax income for more of the area, though I have no idea if, with its upkeep factored into the equation, you'd be better off with both or just one. Maybe the ITB would be better _instead_ of the SE too. There's a couple of extra things to try out for any keen experimenters.
Doh! Thank you so much for pointing that out. That is absolutely an oversight on my part. I had ignorantly put it out of mind thinking "it just extends the exchanges effect", didn't even read it's tool tip or try it out. :(
@@NoodleYetiTV To be fair, to use the ITB, you still have to buy and upgrade the SE first time round, so its initial cost needs to be included when testing how the ITB-only performs.
Out of curiosity, I loaded up the financial save. I then moved over the exchange and placed the ITB, it's radius is half, and provides a +5% tax bonus. Which resulted in a rough 13% loss of income. Edit: It's bonus according to nearby office tooltips is not additive, but somehow increased income by 5%.
These beginner videos are golden. Thanks, hope the algorithm finds them!
Only 500 views? How? Why? More people need to see this, omg!
Thank you! 😭
