yea I’m excited to see if he’ll stay team stephan as the show progresses. Like you said, most new fans are team stephan in the beginning, that’s how the show is set up to be. I love seeing people’s opinions shift and evolve or become more steadfast as they progress through the seasons.

@@TheeDionysus I’m talking about in the very beginning. In the first few episodes, the intention is for the viewer to view stephan as a protagonist and love interest and to view damon as a villain. That quickly changes as the show progresses though.

I think you missed something during stefan and "uncle zack's" convo in episode 1. Zack being the uncle is their cover story, but Zack actually calls Stefan "uncle Stefan" when they are talking about the newspaper article

Just like compulsion, he has that ability to manipulate people's dreams. So he made Elena have that dream about him, it wasn't that Elena was starting to catch feelings for him or anything.

I love early 00s tv it’s always like 20+ episodes a season. And the pilot was usually filmed way in advance and if they picked up the show the filmed the rest of the season so everyone looks a lil different. Damon and Stefan’s hair is longer Elena isn’t wearing hoops anymore. They kinda go in and tweak everyone after the test run
Also watching the originals first 😩. Cuz initially you watch and Damon is the big bad then it builds up and you meet klaus and you’re like ohhhhh this the real big dog. And klaus’s character arc from the villain to us liking him 😢. I hope it hits the same for you watching in reverse

Pretty much the only reason I loved it was the relationship between them. Caroline = irritating. Elena - thick as mince for now. Matt = why? Tyler = horrible at first but grew on me later. Jeremy = not needed. Bonnie = amazing. There are several others I loved but won't be in it for some time so didn't want to spoil.

Bonnie and her hair. The writers tried to dress Kat down because they didn't want her stealing the attention from Elena and Caroline. That's why you'll never see her in a episode where its a ball or anything because the writers didn't want her to be seen in that light.
All the sabotage they threw at Kat didn't work though. She is the most beautiful on the show and the terrible wigs couldn't stop that.
They really did her dirty when a certain ship of hers got huge. Not gonna spoil.

Damon becomes very interesting and - he does have a charisma that the others don't have. (IMO) There's so much to him. They both have interesting back stories - I loved Damon as a character because he kept it intriguing - Delena not so much LOL - Thought they should both tell her to take a hike.

they consistently did my girl dirty in the hair department and it's annoying because they were clearly trying to make her as unattractive as they could with her hair and clothes. Poor Kat Graham suffered one microaggression after another, but they refused to hire someone who knew how to do Black hair and she was shut down when asked if she could wear her hair naturally. She was crying in a video talking about how her hair was destroyed because of how it was done on the show and I wish I could beat everyone's ass involved in making her cry. You'll see, Bonnie is the best one on this show and I can't wait for you to see why. There's a reason I've had this icon for the entirety I've had my youtube account.

We all started off liking Stefan better. Just wait until you get more backstory on their brotherhood and understand why Damon acts the way he does. Throughout the show, Stefan gets worse, and Damon gets better.

I'm team Damon (don't hate me)...but it's so hard for me to watch the first season because he really is an A hole, but I'm soooo sure you're gonna love him later in the show cuz he's just the best. Once he has a little character development and when you get to know him and some of his motives...I bet you'll be down bad. It'll take time but he'll change. It's always natural to love Stefan in the beginning...and we love him the whole show but...Damon just hits different.

Okay, here goes. I like the 2 episodes in one video thing because you are doing a full reaction to each episode and just making the video longer rather than cutting each to the point where no one understands a thing by cramming them into one 20 minute viewing. I love watching people watch and enjoy this show. I appreciate the time and effort it takes for you to film, edit and post for everyone here to enjoy so thank you. Stefan still following Elena around and trying to push his way into her life. Damon being a total ass at this point with how he treated Vicki. She didn't deserve it. . I found Damon more intriguing but I'm not saying I don't like Stefan. Elena is okay. Caroline - annoying totally and lol has no filter. Ep 3 - Damon would be the instigator in them turning up at Elena's uninvited. Stefan livid because he knows Damon is there to cause trouble. I do love the scene between Damon and Elena in the kitchen and his reaction when she says she's sorry about Katherine and that he lost her too. He really didn't expect anyone to care how he felt and it's taken aback by that. I don't think anyone was upset when Damon killed off the asshole coach. At first Damon standing there while she sleeps seems sooooooooo creepy but I kind of get it - her looking like Katherine but being so nice to him is playing with his mind. Not sure if that's it or if he just wanted to piss off Stefan. Looking forward to the next video.

One doesn't realize just how deranged 99.9% of the fandom is till one realize that, 99.9% of them are Damon fans. Stefan Fan Solidarity. "Y'all like dis?" is exactly how I was in 2013 onward when watching it. LOL. A fandom that 99.9% of em, is a terrible judge of character.

we don’t like season 1 Damon, we like Damon once he grows a conscience 😂 but fr I love antagonists that have depth and reasons for what they do, and room for character growth. I find that much more compelling that someone who is a good guy and stays a good guy
Yes. See that's the point. Damon here is evil and I think he says and does a lot to try to unnerve Stefan early on. I agree that he is far more compelling than Stefan for now. He always has a reason for what he does (good and bad) and he's usually a step ahead of everyone else when it comes to knowing what is going on around them and the threats they will face.
