I liked that Elena asked the questions and snooped around. Showed a Smarter character with a healthy sense of self preservation. I liked Elena much better than Bella in that sense. In today's world only a fool would love blindly. I specially love and appreciate her for saying that trust has to be earned, it's not an object that you can just hand over. Besides Stephen had a right to keep his identity a secret if wasn't dating Elena. Elena too has a right to know that she is dating a vampire.
Obviously you’ve watched The Originals so it’s not as unexpected but Stefan spiking Caroline was such a gag when I first watched it because that was the first time we’d saw that happen!!! I do agree that people should be able to have their secrets to a certain degree like Stefan's secret is a little bit more serious and at the same time he has to be careful of who he trusts but it's not one I think should be treated as "Hey you don't need to know everything, people should tell when their ready" kind of thing. If he's not gonna tell then he shouldn't get so involved with someone...

I love that Vicki is not an idiot and knows exactly why Tyler was keeping her away from the house. She shouldn't have gone with him to begin with - Jeremy was right. The comments from the old man to Elena and the news footage she views at Logan's office are very important. This show has a knack of tossing out these comments and visuals that come to mean so much later. It's very easy to brush them off on first watch. Still enjoying your videos. Thanks for posting. Your view on Damon v Klaus is so interesting bc you watched The Originals first. Elena asking questions & being annoying was so fun to me. Bc Stefan was acting weird as hell. I like when female characters in these type of supernatural/fantasy settings have self-preservation (unlike Bella Swan not gaf & begging Edward to turn her the whole saga).

I love Stefan and he's right about Damon but he's being so secretive to Elena and I don't blame her for being confused and angry. Her impersonation of him is hilarious and spot on 🤣 I like Elena too. I used to not like her back when I first watched it but I don't even remember why and she's honestly overhated by the fandom. Also, love the Matt appreciation who is the most overhated character ever.
Damon IS reading one of the Twilight books. What's even funnier is that the actor, Ian Somerhalder, is married to Nikki Reed who played Rosalie (though not at this point). Also, I just assume he told Caroline he was a vampire and then compelled her to forget (maybe more than once).
