Thanks for the vid. Gotta 2006 VE SSV. 70K kms. Stock L98, 6 spd Man, ZF 3:45(failed). Report said Side & Pinion gears were "completely worn out and broken". Im guessing you would rebuild the diff? Would you stick with the 3:45? Thanks for your time.
It's hard to say man it depends on what your doing with the car.. some 3.9s would probably make it a bit quicker off the line but you'll loose some fuel economy..

Hey mate where did you get 3.91 ratio gears I can only find 3.7 for the m78 commodore diff
I got them through my local gearbox shop but there to suit the m80.. there may not be a 3.9 set for the m78..

Hey man I'm not sure there exact cost any more I think it was around the 650 ish mark...
thanks mate. cos i've notice my vy ss ute whenever i put it on neutral and then rev my car slightly moves forward so im assuming its the diff
