5:19 basically, during the immigration crisis in the 2010's a lot of immigrants came to Sweden for a better life. The left were keen on the idea, the right werent but they still agreed on it. The prime minister at the time was socialist i think but the system is pretty complicated. The Swedish parlament is separate and the parlament majority has been right 'wing' since 2006. They make new laws and have much influence on socioeconomic politics. Their politics failed completely to integrate the immigrants into society, they segregated sweden so the poverty is very concentrated and then gangs and crime are bound to happen. While its not right to only blame the right 'wing' parlament, their "stern" approach to for example drug politics has only made the country MUCH worse and they are continuing to turn sweden into a police state. I get that being more stern "sounds like the best solution" but its only proven to have negative effects on first world countries, like Sweden. The ONLY solution to this would be legalizing weed to shut down the gangs main income and not wasting resources on petty drug arrests and PREVENTING THE ISSUE EARLY instead of trying to lock every gang leader up making the kids take over, creating chaos.
I agree with you to a certain degree. Legalizing weed will definitely cut down the income to the gangs. But the gangs will still make money from other types of popular recreational drugs (alcohol, mdma, Adderall etc). They will always find ways to make more money. I still agree with a legalization/decimalization of weed, though.
