Today, let's talk about the worst champions in the game for patch 9.16 and patch 9.17. This is a reverse tier list, meaning that we are going to take a tier list for patch 9.16, and flip it upside down. Let's talk about the worst champions in league of legends, and the current worst meta champions. We will be covering the worst champions and champions that need buffs such as Shaco, LeBlanc, Lulu, and Viktor. These champions need buffed because their win rates are some of the lowest. Lowest Win rate champions.

@@gustav5359 the problem is the passive: it's too strong with ranged abilities, so Riot can't buff the range of the Q and W. All mages in league of Legends have good ranged abilities, Annie no.

No matter how many stacks Basis has, tanks still laugh at him and good adcs can shred him. I suggest he steals movement speed on his W so he has somewhat of a gapcloser in teamfights and can somewhat survive all ins in the early game. That's what I would buff him on

I'd like to take him top lane, Honestly, but to many people who are running around like Mord and Urgot who just get free Conqueror stacks for pressing a button to really do anything in top lane with him right now.
He doesn't need buffs at all sincerely a garen main.

for me it was maokai and shaco
I still can meet with decent Viktor players (mostly OTPs), his dmg is pretty good. Like Wukong, both disappeared from meta, but there are still players with this champs, and I dont think they needs buffs or smth, they can easily one shot squishys, winning teamfights with their ultimates.
Me and my friend play Viktor and Yuumi bot lane, don't know how did he came up with that idea but it worked pretty well.
He is the only Viktor player I have met for a year.

Thanks for acknowledging Trundle has a very problematic kit.
I would still prefer have him being balanced around top lane and jungle which, in theory, should have similar builds and playstyle, rather than around support. It's when he became viable support that his E and R were heavily nerfed.
Waiting for a rework since Poppy isn't meta anymore.
I still have alot of fun building full ad trinity force troll king jungle. There are better options but he is still fun and works, at least for me.

Like I don't understand. I'm the only one on this game that takes trundle, maokai and Mundo as a free win? Just build conqueror+demolish and revitalize. Build Trinity, botrk and spirit and then full tank. You got trundle that will literally heal through everything while taking no dmg and applying debuffs to everyone. Maokai needs to be played jgl, and you got another sustain God that literally doesn't need to smite till level 8 in a single clear. Just the ult is pure shit.
Trundle is a bit awkward for me these days. The only way you have threat is if you build damage, but other bruisers get way more damage from the same items. If you go tank then you just end up being a worse Mundo.
The only contributions he brings to the game really are his E and R but both are somewhat situational. Tanks in general aren’t as problematic as they used to be, and the meta bruisers pack some combination of cc, heals, shields, or mobility, all of which can reduce the effectiveness of his ult. His sole purpose now is to counter Sejuani, but Riot misunderstood his pro presence as him being overtuned rather than Sej.
Trundle is actually really solid in the top lane in my experience. You simply don’t die and can face tank everything while shredding tanks/squishies alike. Only true trundle enthusiasts understand how strong his kit can be when you’re facing bruisers or tanks. The only thing holding him back is his viability in high rated games but even then he’s still has his moments.
Why do I pick lulu? Simple

Riot doesn’t want to see Tank Top Viktor make a return. Honestly, Viktor needs some of his base damage back (from the last nerf) while keeping his compensatory AP scaling, and some fine tuning to his Ultimate (or even just replace it).

Tbh they need to do something about his dependency on Hexcore. You just can't rush Seeker's Armguard against matchups like Zed or Talon, because you're trash without the Hexcore upgrade (especially the first one).

It's good idea. Every new champ has dash. Champs like Vel'koz or Xerath are almost gutted and can be played on supp or adc positions, but they need to face Pyke there

If you see his list of champions which need rework/love/buffs whatever - kog, vic, trundle, lulu. Maokai etc. All if them are no fancy dashers.
The mobility and burst they are pushing for years is killing the game balance.

I feel so bad, i play anivia very often and for her to be useful u need the enemy to stay in your ult but thats not possible anymore, every champion can jump over your wall right now and her range is too bad to even consider pokeing. The only thing she has is waveclear.
It also makes playing adcs in soloq feels bad bc you maybe have one dash but then other champs have like 3 plus flash. So yeah low mobility champs feel kinda bad

I mean, Irelia got 2 skins (Project + Prestige Project) after getting nerfed, while having one of the lowest win rates in the game in all ranks AND while she's set for more nerfs soon according to riot.

QoL changes, buffs, and mini-reworks (look at malphite) can really make a champion go from being ok to being seen again when you play.

8:32 shaco main here. We have already being doing for a few years now. That's why your suggestion will not work. We bit the bullet and made do with just 2-3 levels into Q. Most often just 2. Instead of being primary initiators in ganks we are the follow up. This forces shaco to be team reliant on plays and gives him next to no play making ability of his own in the early game. Which then directly effects him scaling up to being a below average late game champ.
The issue is this conflicts with the basic concept of initiating. If the team mate is the initiate they bring the cc to facilitate the gank. Thus to make the gank work shaco should bring the damage. But he doesn't do that either. With Shacos current purpose he needs to bring more to the table. More burst on his E will do. Most shaco mains want his E damage to be brought back to magic damage to be more effective overall.
Please give some love to kog, have been playing him for years, now he's almost unplayable... he's my favourite champ to play, why does he have to be indirectly nerfed because of other bad designed champions?
I know right. His passive is just terribly designed... Giving an AD CARRY, a passive that does something when you DIE is an awful idea in itself. Not to mention he is about his huge W range, and then he has to run over to them after he dies... makes sense Riot..

Yeah, not sure if Lulu did get buffs since back here, but she probably needs nerfs around here - she's just a stronger Yuumi at this point.

The champs that need the most attention are ones that are doing one of the these three.
1. Outperforming in lanes other than their intended one. Tristana is a good example here where she's got the shortest range, the most risky playstyle that's highly dependent on your support and the enemy's comp, but she's a massive powerhouse that can leap in and out of a fight in the blink of an eye... OH WAIT, she's an AD assassin that plays in bottom lane for some reason, so noticed literally everyone this past season and now there's a big spike in the Tristana mid meta, with some KR players running her top and doing EXCEPTIONALLY well in place of other ranged champs. These aren't champs that are doing BAD, they're champs that are being pushed out of their intended roles by shifts in the meta and that needs addressing, either by tweaking them for the new meta they fit, or adjusting them to get back into their rightful place.
2. Champs that are played EVERYWHERE. Yasuo is the poster boy for this. Sort your champion tab by "most played roles" and Yasuo is in EVERY. Single. SLOT. Except support because he'd take every kill for himself and get the game to label him ADC by mistake. These are champions that are CLEARLY working outside LoL's intended meta. If you can play a champ viably in every lane it means they lack some critical weakness. Tristana in top, for example, is stupid easy to rush down and yank CS from, I know, I'm a Tristana main. Before 2 she has no serious ability to damage you, her ability to farm under tower is crippled by her E's passive and since it's usually the first thing you take, if you shove her into tower she's having a bad game. This works in any Tristana match up. Yasuo is a champ that has more specific match ups, meaning little counter play exists. He's not the only one that works in 3+ slots, but I'm just painting a general idea here. If a champ works in two lanes, fair enough. Once a champ is working in all the lanes, and Jungle, you need to sit down and look at their stuff, because something is wrong.
3. Bottom of the tier list. Always, always, always, a game needs to look at the bottom of the tier list and ask, "Why?" Sometimes it's as simple as other champs being better suited. Morgana is a CC machine with decent damage, why pick someone that does decent damage and has no CC or someone that only does CC if you can have both? You're never going to properly shore up those other champs against her, but as the comments have said, some champs are bottom barrel just because stats, current meta items, and lack of attention. Riot focuses so much on champ win rates they don't look at play rates. "Oh, this champ has a healthy 50% win rate!" Yeah, at being played twice per season (hyperbole) by the same guy before he found a new champ when he lost the second match. Some characters are always going to rise to the top, but that's no reason to neglect the bottom, and that's often what happens. If every patch ONE guy at Riot picked a bottom tier champ and suggested a group of changes to be implemented, we'd probably see more diversity in the game than the usual popular picks.

I’m a viktor main and man he really does need buffs he feels beyond useless.
I am Trundle main. I am playing him as a jungler and i think he is good. Good 1 vs 1 fighter. I tried play him on top but thats hard. I thinks he is one of the best split pushers in the game but he always lose top. He needs buff to passive for bigger livesteal for example or 10% movement speed when he hits q. He does not need buff to damage anymore. He needs some love.
What about Graves tho? His kit is really unhealthy, coz when he is good he is S tier but when he is nerfed he becomes a forgotten D tier pick that even mains dont touch. I would really appreciate a mini rework to his kit making him more early/mid game giving his Q and R more dmg compensating it with passive scaling nerfs.
I think graves is honestly reflective of jungle state. His kit is fine, simplistic yet with some complexities, like the Ult having two separate hits, his passive working the way it does, etc. Its just when jungle items are strong or powerfarming is strong that graves gets strong. Aside from that, he just kinda... exists. It's really all based on jungle as a whole, not just the champs, not just its relation to others role, not just graves' numbers, but all of it collectively.

Akali isn't bad, and she doesn't need a nerf or buff. Today i've got 24/4/8 on Akali on top. It's good champ, if you build Gunblade and if you know gow to play her.
There has never been a time where Lulu and Leblanc being 'good' was ever enjoyable except for the people playing Lulu and Leblanc.
They need a whole kit rework, not buffs. Leblanc can still dumpster people with nearly zero risk for her own safety *now*, and thats with you thinking she needs buffs.
i think le blanc is a perfect example of how assassins should be. She can kill you and go back to safety. If she can't do that, she can't do anything else, so you have shut her down fairly enough. I don't how things like zed gets to kill you 10 times your life bar , go back to safety, poke you in lane with no mana and aplit push lanes late game.

@@lynnmorgan5897 Perfect example on how assassins should be? What, with no counterplay? She dashes in, bursts over half your health with all of her abilities, then flashes back to her original start point and takes no dmg. Its the same with rengar at the moment, he activates his ultimate, goes INVISIBLE, point and click jumps on you and insta kills you with no counterplay. Wards and oracles can't see him, so it's just a "well now I die" moment that you can't do shit against. That's not healthy for the game because it's only fun for the person playing the champ, and just causes everyone who fights them to want to not play the game since they can't do anything to win.

@@lynnmorgan5897 Did I say she shouldn't be able to kill? I said that she needs counterplay, two very different things. The problem with leblanc is even if she misses her dash towards you, she can flash right back to her starting point and run away with little to no counterplay. And that her ability to do akali dmg during her rush then flash back is obnoxious and needs to be toned down

What if you buff the bonus attack speed on lulu w and let it exceed the max attack speed cap or make it double on hit dmg. Maybe this gives her a more unique role as an attack speed buffing supp who works with all attack speed/on hit dmg based adcs instead of just another shield supp

It makes even less sense when you think about the fact he was initially designed as a long range artillery carry. Like Ezreal (in the way that Ez casts his abilities constantly), but themed around his ult.

And give him 7 items? Nah bro. Stat-wise his Hexcore is easily better than any ap item in mid-to lategame. So he'd be beyond broken.

I play against a Victor and him just buy that item and just Press E and farm every minion except the cannon and i need to use all my kit to farm... My E do 200 dmg but the Victor E do 500 dmg (Im Lux with the item of mana and ap that cost 1300)

I feel like kalista also needs help for her early game but she can scale well in late but I can agree with the kogmaw changes since he hit that powerspike so late it's hard to play him during mid game
In my opinion, with this new riven nerf she will not really scale so much anymore, as the cdr on her will kinda be useless, so she will become more like an assassin with lethality and high damage, than a 1v9 dps fighter

I want buffs to warwick's ultimate. It's key to his playmaking especially if the enemy team has mobility, so a little bit of cooldown taken off of it would be nice.

Totally agree, it's already frustrating playing a champion with zero mobility and can get one shot by almost any champion, a cc that stuck herself in a animation is really stupid. and even if you hit them with E a lot of champion can still touch you since it's only a root(that only last 1 sec if you didn't max it first). and the ultimate is hard to cc people with since it took 2 secs to take off. Playing zyra now is even harder since there's even more mobility items in the game. Miss one root and you gonna die( or don't miss root and you might still die)

There already is power creep my friend. Take a look at the recent reworks and new champions. Most overloaded kits possible that they usually remove 3 or more features after a year of being in the game.
Older champs cant keep up.

14:58 I think having Trundle engage still makes him an effective force though- that being said, maybe if his ult stole resistances for nearby units (similar to old Locket), he could be a better support. With all that said, maybe his w could steal attack speed and health Regen and give those stats to allies in the circle, that might work out better than switching around his ad steal since that would be more effective for a team fight.
Also, it’s not necessarily the same, but giving Trundle the ability to steal ad from all five enemy champions could result in him going to jungle or top again, not support because he’d have better potential in those roles with that retooling.
Definitely agree that Trundle could use a retooling... but giving him the ability to gain 125 AD at late game is kind of overpowered in its own right. Letting him steal other stats and give them to his allies (which makes sense given his character in the lore) makes a bit more sense and doesn’t break how he plays.

As a meowkai main, yes I do agree his laning allows him a lot of forgiveness because of his cc. if you can get him fed early game, mid game no one can really kill him IF the other enemy lanes did not also get fed as well.

I appreciate the Trundle support acknowledgement. I've been running him with GLP and Glacial, Zhonya then full tank. Won many games, had many grief then acknowledge how effective it is. Ridiculous zoning and peeling.

Oh boy, as someone who always tried to main Ivern since Release because i love the concept, i gotta say that he's really bad, there's too many problems with this champion in almost every way after all the nerfs he got:
1. Bad at jungling = he takes a couple camps early and he's already fucking red alert dying, and still you gotta wait a lot to get the first camp so you gotta stick at level 1 or 2, and beg that enemy is not looking for you which leads to:
2. easily Ganked in the jungle = if the jungler can jump or something, Ivern gets FUCKED, you gotta waste your flash and pray it works or else it's free kill.
3. Seeing someone stealing your jungle = Ivern can't fight for SHIT alone, so he can't defend his camp, and he can't take his camp, he can't smite it either, you can only watch as the other jungler takes everything from you.
4. ganking = the only approach he has is his Q, which is really easy to miss, it's slow, doesn't pass minions and even if you hit that Q you need your team to co-operate or else you ain't seeing that enemy die by yourself.
5. Can't do Dragons alone, that's like seeing a janna solo a dragon, maybe wasting ulti.
6. NOBODY EVER PICKS THE BUFFS YOU GIVE THEM! it's worse than Tresh' lamp. i have to fucking BEG by pinging and say in all caps to make people realize that they have a free buff available to pick that is like 4 steps away from them. it's so frustrating. one of the redeeming quality that helps the whole team and the team doesn't make that work.
In short words, Ivern really needs that team to be extremely aware, and cooperative with you and sometimes even baby sit you, i don't need baby sitting as Lee sin.
and since he's more a support than an aggresive jungler i only use him when my support is an aggresive champ like Lux, Pyke, Morgana, etc or else my team will lack power.
and i can still win games with Ivern, sometimes i do so well that i support carry, but the problems are still there and i have to struggle with those problems more than any other jungler. and it's sad because Ivern is so much fun when he works, but extremely useless when he doesn't.
@leblanc. honestly I loved leblanc when she first had her rework along with the other assassins, seemed to have a bit more skin and versitility and I had that they reverted her. shes so linear now that shes super number based when before her burst was slower but seemed to be more rewarding.
Garen... need a buff, and kogh will never be descent becouse every assassin today have 1000 jumps, and he dont have 1 escape

Why play Lulu support? My pocket picks include AS Hybrid Lulu, someone engages on you? Polymorph, E, q to slow, and right click to kill.

Primary rune tree should be Press the Attack or Lethal Tempo, Overheal, Acalarity/Bloodline, Secondary runes are any that give her utility or sustain or survivability . I like to go either Domination branch, Taste of Blood, and Ravenous Hunter, or Resolve branch with Bone plating and Revitalize.

I love Ivern. I once went mid Ivern with Cleanse and smite against a Talon. I ended up going 11/4/4 with a build that consisted of 5 Cloak of Agility's and a Nashors tooth. We won that game..
First time watching this, and you were 100% right about Kog'Maw. As a Kog main I was baffled that there were no buffs for him, no new item, nothing. 04/2020 and still waiting... dat 5 mov speed buff tho....

Maokai with AfterShock is a monster on topline. The only problem is that in the early game ( before 1st recall, where you buy Bami's Cinder) this is an impossible thing to kill someone. The mana is running off to fast and you cannot make a fill combo.

Okay but seriously, I agree that Lulu really need some love. Despite being one of the most popular support champ (mostly just popular in fanart but yknooow) she's really weak. Her base health isn't high enough to be a tank unless with tanky item, her damage isn't high enough to be a mage without heck tons of AP items and cooldown reduction, her basic attack isn't strong enough to be ADC despite her passive makes her looks like ADC, also because her basic attack is mediocre without being reliant to attack speed items, but building pure AD on her doesn't makes any of her kit getting stronger, either. It's like.... Unless if you got Guinsoo and Runaan then ADC Lulu is almost impossible, unlike the old meta where ADC Lulu is a total monster.
Okay honestly solo laner full AP Lulu is more viable on the game now than in season 4 long ago, because her passive now stacks with AP which makes any of her abilities to get better. However, without attack speed, your passive is a waste of a passive. But then when you build attack speed on her, you won't get enough AP because there's ALMOST no item on the game that gives you attack speed with AP as well. Nashor's Tooth and Guinsoo are few of those, but they didn't give her nearly enough AP at all.
On the other side, building ADC on Lulu often considered trolling. Though, people nowadays are more enlightened and consider ADC Lulu to be a great build, but it's not as good as they might think. It's HARD to execute. Unless if you got early game advantage with kills or if you can bully the heck outta your enemies, you won't be that successful. Why? Because she's item dependent and she need that gold desperately. She need kills so that some runes can gives her more power.
Lulu falls to a category between laughably useless to "OH MY GOD HOW DO WE STOP HER!?!?!?!?" type of champion. Once she snowball, there's almost nothing in the game that can stop her, unless if you're equally as fed as her. Because once she's fed and she build for damage (regardless AD or AP) then it's just GG because polymorph last for so long and freaking hell, Lulu deal fuckkkk tons of damage if given enough attack speed, regardless of your build. Polymorph is a point-and-click disabler. If you get close enough, Lulu is not disabled, then chance is that you're going to get disabled, and if you're squishy, you'll die. If you're not squishy, she will peel you off or she can run. Nothing can stop her 1 vs 1 once she get fed.
....But otherwise if she's not fed, Lulu is so useless. Legit all that she can do is to polymorph others, and maybe save someone with her ulti, but unless if you build heck amount of AP then your ulti is still kinda too weak to be useful.
So, Lulu is either useless, or broken. There's too many games where I played ADC Lulu, then I either get shit from both of team in the entire game, or I just bully absolutely any enemy champion with almost no one could stop me. Nothing in between.
It's been years since Riot gives any love to Lulu, because despite her having soooooo much skins, she barely ever buffed through many years, barely ever nerfed either, and rarely ever picked by anyone else but Lulu mains.
Really though... She's good as pure support because she's only good at crowd control, but not strong enough to survive a fight and get killed way too easily. She's better as support with peel and harass, but her passive begs everyone to build for damage. However, her kit is so versatile that solo laner Lulu is either a joke, or broken OP lane bully.
Either Riot gives her a mini rework or add more item that gives AP along with attack speed.

@Exil I have over 1,000,000 mastery on trundle and have actually put plenty of thought into what i would like to see if they ever did rework trundle and here are some of my ideas for moving him into a supportive role; Similar to your idea with the pillar of removing AD on the cast I had a sligtly different idea that the slow around his pillar could reduce enemy attack speed, alternativly to this his w could give his allies attackspeed and bonus healing similar to how it does his already, the next thing is buff the duration of the debuff his q applies and the duration of the slow while possibly reducing the AD steroid he gets from it(this is to keep him from just damage checking the adc). and finally remove zeke's harbinger and give trundles ulti a similar effect, aoe slow around him that either, reduces their attackspeeds, or they take bonus damage similarr to the current zekes passive but team wide not just 1 teamate

Anyone remembers kayle? Before the rework last time they changed something about her was in season 5!. Now, the rework came out in patch 9.4 sucked for one patch, people found about the passive with klepto, got fixed. Now she has been forgotten for 10 patches. They are doing something to her in pbe, but could be the same as the teemo changes.
