- these heads are off of 97 f150 4.2 I'm putting them on an 89 Thunderbird super coupe to convert it from eating m90 supercharged over to gt35 turbocharged

Really cool that there's a different port for the high RPM runner and the low RPM runner. You can open the high RPM one a ton and not worry about killing low down torque or fuel mileage
Ok thanks
Exactly what i would hqve done .nice improvements and sound thinking on what to do.. I bet you wanted to do combustion chamber clean up but you are right losin that comoression would have negated any improvements .greatvideo sir
Thank you
This will be interesting and good. :)
Keep us updated, my 89 sc just blew a gasket and i have a split port upper I’m toying with the idea of using with an m112, i will be interested to see how you hook up all the little stuff
Been done many times.not a hard swap
I'd like to see what tools you used to do this job.
how did they do ? what did you use to cut down exhaust guides ?did you open up the high rpm runners ?
Was the 3.8 derived from the 2.8/2.9 v6
Why did you go with the heads from a 4.2?
Also what turbo setup will you be using? Custom single? I only see one turbo kit for the 3.8 and its a twin set up
I will be using a gt35 eBay Chinese turbo
@@Sleeperdude do you have a plan on routing the exhaust to the turbo?
No not yet I’m just gonna wing it
@@Sleeperdude well ill be watching if you post more videos
Mr Sleeperdude, I'm rebuilding my 99 3.8 mustang engine and want to port the exhaust side on my heads. Would this cause a check engine light to go off or would I need a tune?
No go for it!!
@@Sleeperdude ok thank you, im gonna rent the spring compressor today and start the tear down process
Would you be able to port my 94 Tbird sc heads ? If so how much ?
I don't have the time with my work schedule. But thanks for asking
You can do it.read up a buncj on head porting and watch how to vids.. Its nit hard to improve head flow on older or non hi performqnce heads
