Solaris Bus & Coach is a Polish producer of public transport vehicles, with its headquarters in Bolechowo-Osiedle near Poznań. It is the largest manufacturer of city buses on the Polish market and one of the leading producers on the European market.
The firm arose from the enterprise Neoplan Polska established in 1994. A production facility was launched in Bolechowo-Osiedle near Poznań in 1996. The first low-floor bus produced in Bolechowo rolled off the assembly line on 22 March 1996 and it is this very date that is understood as the beginning of the company's history. 1999 saw the première of the first city bus of the Solaris brand - the Solaris Urbino 12.
Solaris city buses are offered in many drive configurations, sizes and body types. In 2006, Solaris was the first manufacturer in the world to introduce a series-produced Solaris Urbino 18 hybrid bus to the European market. The manufacturer's offer includes diesel, CNG, hybrid or fully electric drives.
The Solaris Urbino 12 electric was the first Polish, and the first electric bus at that, to win an international title for the year Bus and Coach of the Year 2017.
Since 2018, the company has been owned by the Spanish group CAF. As of 2022, Solaris buses have found buyers in more than 700 cities in 34 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

I hate sales economy and the government. They always have to force car brands to close, or the sales economy and government forces car brands own by other car brands to close Chrysler should have brought back the Plymouth Barracuda, so Plymouth wouldn't die.
The most obvious aspect of this bus is the loud beeping doors when they're closing. I suspect that the bus can't get moving if he thinks the doors are open. Then the whole bus lowers the suspension after approaching a stop and raises it back up again. My city replaced simple Mercedes buses with these.
I drive solaris urbino 12 LE, the buses have switches on the left side, you can flip the switches and the bus can drive with the doors open.
There is also a button that controls the suspension kneeling, so when you stop at a bus stop and open the doors the bus will lower the right side suspension automaticaly so the people can enter the bus easily, specially the elderly, but that can also be turned off.

Great video! I hope Solaris will not be discontinued, and make more buses in the future. I'm impressed of you TH-cam channel, because there are a lot of cars ever made in automotive history, and you start from all of the old cars to all the new cars in every of your videos. For the most famous polish bus producer in case of production area, this is great! But, you made this company's history video wrong, as the company was originally called Neoplan Polska and was supporter of german Neoplan buses into the Polish market. It was founded five years earlier, in 1994. Firstly, it produced a copy of Neoplan N series, which was in production (overall) since 1988. When Neoplan was sold in 1998 to MAN, former polish subsidiary company made prototypes of Urbinoes in a form of Neoplan K (Olibus) series (which're more known in the city of Skarżysko-Kamienna, where this bus is still in operation). Their product of innovations inherited from Neoplan was appeared for the first time in 1999 (at this time, Solaris Urbino was only a brand). In 2001, the "new Neoplan" got the current name, the "Solaris Bus & Coach".
