Sorry you had to “break a leg” to create this great invention, But Wow ! I have similiar problem with my Daniel Smith Water Color & combinations of Holbein, W&N, QoRs, Senielier, etc. With the exception of QoRs, I use my colors regardless of Manufacturer, but some do granulate differently, dont fit in color familys that I understand, especially if names are used but also some pigments have a wide range of red to purple, that is deceptive. Still trying to sort it out myself, will look into the resources you used. Wont use your color chart, but will use your logic & I have that same mejillo pallette, and several more. Thanks for making a you tube, I found you through Jane Davenport on Spellbinders site. Hope you are healed by now & back in the pink of health.

Ps. I actually was looking for a video on how to use Jane Davenport (they look like Eyeshadow) I think they are pastels in a powder form. I recently purchased 2 pallets (face & primary) along with her faces book. Purchased for my granddaughter for Christmas, but decided later, it might not be her thing, so now I’m trying to figure if I can use them or not. I make cards, but not really into mixed media. I’m more stamping, watercolor, inking, Copics. Not crayons, pencils, or acryllic or oil paints & pens. If you have a video on the “ eyeshadow type pallettes “ perhaps you could direct me, so far don’t see any. Maybe you just dont use it on its own? I have not played with it yet, just because I’m still on the fence about giving it as a gift. But even if I do, I may need to supplement with make up brushes, sponges, or something else.

  • @erinkbeb

Another option for securing watercolor pans to any type of palette is to use putty like "Uhu Tac" or "Uhu Padafix" on the bottom of each pan. You can buy the putty in pre-cut small squares or buy larger cubes and then just tear a pea-sized amount off to secure each pan individually. It's waterproof, removable, reshapable and reusable. It also comes in many colors, but white is most inconspicuous for this use.

Hi Kate, hello from rural SW Victoria. I hope your broken limb is all better and not giving you any grief. I love your system, it is amazing and it works so much better than having a big stack of small tins. Thanks your sharing your hard work. (I bought my Prima sets before watching your video 😞 so unfortunately I have the duplicate Complexions set. I've decided that I'll just keep it in tact for any "making faces/people" projects.) Anyway, I also have the set call Currents 133-144. They all look like "cool blues" to me except for a couple which may stray onto the warmer side. Two questions, are you thinking of (ever) adding them to your palette/colour chart and, if not, would you care to categorise them so I can fit them into your system? Not asking much, am I? 🙂

YIKES which makes for a hard time to figure out which one was which!!
