Someone made a comment to me recently, that they were, “proud of me”, for “stretching” myself and “stepping outside my comfort zone”, because I was using other colors than what I usually use. I’m positive they meant well but I felt slightly defensive in my heart, of the fact that I love the colors I love and up until that moment, I hadn’t felt any doubts about my color selections because they had always just made me so happy. I told myself to just dig my hills in, (privately, I didn’t need to say anything to that person), and unapologetically, keep doing what makes myself happy when I’m creating art. I say this, to express how much I appreciate you saying to just buy the color sets with your favorite colors. Thanks, @karencampbell❣️❣️❣️ I always love your videos!! I love being one of your student!❤❤❤

Your artwork is cheerful but at the same time eccentric. Would love to see your characters in coloring books. Question: Do you think this Terrain set is more on the opaque side or are they more translucent? I ask because from here they look like a gouache.
Oh thanks! I do have some books (like 19 lol) and these are classic watercolors. They are not opaque. I just was working directly from the palettes for the most part so they are more concentrated than if I have made them into a watery mix on a separate palette - which is a more typical application!
