This one scene proved Dr Stephen Kellerman who was Scarecrow's psychiatrist in his Arkham Asylum interview tapes right. He hit the nail on the head when he said "I believe he is quite sane. Just evil."
Nicolas Sorzano Sociopaths are quite sane. They know that their actions are wrong, they just don't care. And that is what Crane is. Being crazy means not knowing right from wrong.
+Xehanort10 I really wish Kellerman was in the Arkham Knight game. He managed to figure out Crane and survives the mental torture from his gas, thanks to Batman.
I love how when everyone calls Batman Bruce is like an insult or like “I know your secret” but when Jim says it, it’s because they truly are good friends
I've always loved Joker, but Scarecrow in this game really surprised me and became a new favourite for me. A fantastically sadistic villain. Appearance, voice, movement, intentions, confidence, showmanship, everything about him was nailed perfectly.
This game was AMAZING from beginning to end, and JESUS CHRIST John Noble was PERFECTION as Crane. LOVED that he was the villain to end the Arkham series as he gave Batman both the fight of his life physically and psychologically.
Scarecrow's design is my favourite of all Batman games! Yes, this game is awesome BUT!.... Unfortunately there's only 3 things that could have been better in MY opinion. 1. Bossfights. Not enough and all of them are disappointing. Deathstroke. We had an amazing fight with him in origins, but here.... tank battle? Meh ._. No scarecrow battle. Penguin and Harvey are side missions and they aren't nothing special like in Arkham City ( penguin had Solomon Grundy) (Two faces had a more interesting mission) Only Riddler's fight is at least interesting but you have to unlock all the trophies and that's a pain in the ass , let's be honest. Arkham knight should have had a fist fight. ManBat could have been a stealth fight. No Fire Flie fight. No Zsasz ( could have been a side quest and a hostage fight like in Arkham Asylum) No Mad Hatter hallucinations :( No Bane. No Killer Croc ( when you have to find Poison Ivy's plant's roots they could have been underground and there should have been Croc . And with that spot there could have begun the side quest or a boss fight) Mr. Freeze? Ok he wasn't really necessary but I could have been cool. 2. Story. Ok the story is GREAT, I know , but Rocksteady been complaining with the trailer that Scarecrow would make Batman suffer and reduce him to ashes. But the game doesn't tell you that. Some of Gotham's citizens could have remained in Gotham in some safe place and then scarecrow would begin to attack them, fear gas, militia, anything and Batman couldn't do anything . Watching them suffer would make Batman and the player feel impotent. Before pub's sequence there could have been a cutscene where you see people suffering . There would be chaos and anarchy. Destroy people's hope to reduce him to ashes. Again, make him feel impotent. A couple of little Batman vs Arkham knight fight sequence would have made it perfect. To increase the anger between them. More dramatisation. The zeppelin could have fallen and blow up destroying I don't know, a building. 3. Side quests. Many of them are well done but some seems like they ran out of time before doing them right. Zsasz, Bane, Croc , all of them could have been side quests instead of Militia's towers or bombs. And more inspired. I think that could have made it even better. Anyway ,great game.
Well in this punt I agree with you in you´rs punt of this game need more characters and FIGHT REAL! but the game is great ~ I like the voices form of game, design and other things but for you comments...I agree with you
I must admit. Scarecrow was pretty awesome. The dude looks like a friggin zombie with that look. Croc did a number on him at the Asylum. I wonder how painful it was.
If you see scarecrow again in Arkham Asylum, he has a higher pitched voice, and doesn't look half as intimidating as he does in this game. Who knew he would become this.
It's sort of funny to think that if things had gone differently in Arkham Asylum Killer Croc would have been the greatest hero in Gotham because if he'd eaten Crane he'd have never been able to do what he did in this game.
jayrocjr88 One of the Gotham Stories you get from solving riddles reveals that the Arkham Knight's soldiers were transporting Croc somewhere presumably ordered by Scarecrow to kill Croc as revenge for Croc trying to eat him 2 years before in Asylum. But the tranquilizer they used on him wore off and he attacked and killed them then escaped the airship both he and they were on.
Whenever Oracle cringes I just think that Scarecrow must have incredibly bad breath. He probably spends so much time trying to make everybody afraid he doesn't have time to brush his teeth. He looks that kind of fucked up anyway.
Damn! Getting mauled by a giant humanoid crocodile worked out pretty well for Scarecrow! He got a cool new badass voice and design! What... That mask is his face, holy shit!
i love the fact that gordon shot the emblem, cause batman always makes the emblem the strongest point of his suit, and makes it big so people will shoot there, its bulletproof!
Jim is basically Batman's greatest ally, he knows batman's strategies, he can hold his own in a fight, and he has the law on his side. Plus, he epicness come from that moustache.
Yea I knew I’d find this comment. Lmao every video of this scene has this exact comment of the Batman know it all going “I love how he shot Batman cause he know Batman bulletproof” lol
Couple things to say, this scene is AMAZING. My favorite scene in the game. The voice actor was truly gifted with such talent. Such a deep sorta raspy voice fits the character soooo well. Also his look and design is truly marvelous. My favorite lines: "It's time for Gotham to see its savoir for who he truly is, a man, just a man. Devoid of hope, betrayed by his friends, crippled by fear." And "Think very carefully about your next move commissioner, her life depends on it." Outstanding script with an amazing voice actor. Best version of scarecrow In my opinion
And, THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why Scarecrow is a better and more interesting villain than Joker. I love Hamill's Joker but after City, his stuff got kinda boring. Rocksteady did a great job making The Joker a fear illusion and gave him a proper send off - I was glad he wasn't the main villain.
Lone Wolf Reviews LTD. not the whole militia crap.. unless he’s paying them a lot of money (doctor) scarecrow shouldn’t be a militia leader That’s weird as hell and out of place
My reaction went something like this: Scarecrow fear-gases Oracle into killing herself: he needs to die. Scarecrow wheeling out Oracle and showing she's still alive: he REALLY needs to die for screwing with our emotions!
This scene, the ACE Chemicals central mixing chamber, the end of the second Stagg Airship, and the Arkham Mansion are probably my top 4 favorite parts of this game's story.
Scarecrow is my favourite Batman villain, I'm so glad he finally became the main antagonist and was portrayed so well, like he deserved, even though it wasn't in a movie.
I've been playing this game with the Dark Knight suit. When Batman said "Brave" to Gordon it was so perfect. It totally seemed like something the Dark Knight Batman would say. It felt like the scene at the end of The Dark Knight.
Devs: Did you enjoy the emotional intensity, excellent performances and beutiful graphics of that scene? You did? Well why don't you go fight some more generic robot tank drones so that you don't forget that the motherfucking batmobile is in this game.
@@justrandomthings319 I like to think that Gordon figured out he was Bruce years ago and just kept it to himself. Arkham Knight yelling "bruce" in the previous scene just confirmed what Gordon already knew. Most versions of Gordon hint that he secretly figured it out eventually.

I always thought of Scarecrow as a side villain in compassion to other big bads like Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Two Face, Ra’s Al Ghul, or Bane. Then this game came out and completely threw that opinion out the window.
Rocksteady's graphics game is as on point as ever. This was/is only the second of two games made for next gen that actually LOOK next gen to me so far. (The other is Witcher 3).
I'm not sure how I missed this, but I've just now noticed Gordon calls Batman "Bruce" in this scene. The last five years, my mind must have blanked over "Bruce" during this exchange.
***** He uses Xray vision on his glasses or something like that where wearing them, people see him as a totally different other person. It's been talked in a comic.
Many didn’t like the story because of Arkham knight, but he was supposed to be scarecrows sidekick, scarecrow was the main villain, and Arkham knight helped Bruce in the end
All this time at the end, I thought Batman was mischievously poking his own Bat symbol to prove his point, after the bullet bounced off of him. But NOPE, I looked closer and saw the bullet was on the emblem and he pulled it out. WOW. The more I know. XD
This one scene proved Dr Stephen Kellerman who was Scarecrow's psychiatrist in his Arkham Asylum interview tapes right. He hit the nail on the head when he said "I believe he is quite sane. Just evil."
Xehanort10 That line (those whole audio tapes) was brilliant. Chilling and perfectly summarised.
Darth TARDIS Yep.
Xehanort10 I don´t know. For me, Crane is fucked up. Maybe hi is not psychotic like the Joker, but he is definitely a sociopath.
Nicolas Sorzano Sociopaths are quite sane. They know that their actions are wrong, they just don't care. And that is what Crane is. Being crazy means not knowing right from wrong.
+Xehanort10 I really wish Kellerman was in the Arkham Knight game. He managed to figure out Crane and survives the mental torture from his gas, thanks to Batman.
they made scarecrow a badass in asylum then they made him the ultimate badass in knight, scarecrow is awesome
BLACK LANTERN OF EARTH Well he is awesome in the comics too so why not make him awesome in games too?
BLACK LANTERN OF EARTH As far as I can tell, He's the next Joker
BLACK LANTERN OF EARTH
In my opinion he looks very much like a kid's cartoon character in Asylum, but he was *amazing* here.
BLACK LANTERN OF EARTH How exactly did they make him badass in asylum? I thought he was kind of a joke then he got ate by croc.
+akapdcdaka Croc blindsided him he was a badass though.
IMO the Arkham Knight Scarecrow is the best version of him ever.
Xehanort10 but I like the design from arkham 1 better
This one is cool and scary but meh
@@Bat-talk what
This what made me fall in love with the character
Ya, its too bad that they didnt make great use out of him.
Arkham games nailed a lot of characters

I've always loved Joker, but Scarecrow in this game really surprised me and became a new favourite for me. A fantastically sadistic villain. Appearance, voice, movement, intentions, confidence, showmanship, everything about him was nailed perfectly.
I wish they would have had a flash back were they showed how scarecrow got away from killer croc and how he was also in Arkham planning his revenge
This Scarecrow is the best incarnation of him I've ever seen. He's so damn AWESOME!!
Tinizel Agreed. IMO John Noble is the best voice for Scarecrow yet.
Yeah this is the best Scarecrow ever.
This game was AMAZING from beginning to end, and JESUS CHRIST John Noble was PERFECTION as Crane. LOVED that he was the villain to end the Arkham series as he gave Batman both the fight of his life physically and psychologically.
I agree the whole batmobile boss fights and all that was a bit annoying but the story makes up for it this is probably my favourite Arkham game
*hush dies in two hits*
So who thinks John Noble should play Scarecrow in one of the new Batman films ?
If they could put off the same design into a future Batman film, that would be the best casting there is!
Scarecrow : "Think very carefully about your next move, Commissioner."
Gordon : *shoots Batman*
Scarecrow : *B O I*
Scarecrow was just awesome in this game.
Cornered by Batman and Gordon, yet completely in control the entire time.
this is proof that scarecrow just pure evil and he knows it because he wants you to fear how sane he actually is
Until he became insane with his own fear toxin. Taste of his own medecine.
It's a shame there was never a confrontation between Scarecrow and Croc since it was Croc who mauled him.
This fuckin game is GORGEOUS the
design, voices, form of game all IS EPIC
AND MORE the design and voice of scarecrow!
Scarecrow's design is my favourite of all Batman games!

jayrocjr88 No problem.
Xehanort10 but wasn't Croc's appearance just an hallucination?
Whenever Oracle cringes I just think that Scarecrow must have incredibly bad breath. He probably spends so much time trying to make everybody afraid he doesn't have time to brush his teeth. He looks that kind of fucked up anyway.
Lol yeah he looks like a rotting corpse
Butters Stotch because he is a rotting corpse in some way you know he was teared by a humancrocodile :DDD
And that human crocodile never appeared in the game.
oswald completely Croc does appear in Arkham Knight but only in the last fear gas hallucination at the end of the game.
Well, the cameo doesn't really count.

That's Jonathan Banks btw. The Mike Erhmantraut from bcs and bb
this scarecrow incarnation was downright badass! the game did him a lot of justice.
Did you know ?
Commissioner Gordon is Mike from Breaking Bad.
Scarecrow is John Noble, Denethor; steward of Gondor from Lord of the Rings
see, this is why Scarecrow is a member of the legion of doom

Out of this entire cast, only John Noble could've stolen the show from Mark Hamill this effortlessly.
They're both good villains. One doesn't have to be "better" than the other. They both challenge Batman in distinct and interesting ways.
they should have done the main bads like this
arkham asylum = joker
