    Dear Moog,
Been watching you two for over a decade. I love your stuff and the reason I work on my own cars is because of MCM. This video is great and you perfectly showed how to make a profit with a used car. Having said that, Marty's Subaru, that he made no money on, was the best MCM videos of the last few years. He didn't flip a car, he restored one and brought it back to life. With your last 2 videos, you've shown us 2 different approaches to fixing a car and you each did a perfect job. Thank you for the years of amazing content. Watching your channel has helped get me through some rough times in my life. I can always come to MCM and feel like I'm hanging with an old friend. I'll watch you guys forever.
    Sincerely,
    Ben

Doing this to cars takes KNOWLEDGE. The kind of knowledge of the platform and brand problems and easy fixes that most normal people have no clue about.
You earned every penny you made on that car because it takes a VERY specific skill set to save the car and replace the things that need it. Not to mention that you take a risk on unknown problems that can pop up once you remove that panel and really see what's underneath it!
You make it sound easy but it is almost never that easy! Kudos to you and keep saving cars out there man!

I had a E12 Corolla hatchback TS with the 2ZZ-GE for ten years and it also suffered from a massive water leak in the boot. Took me some time to find what it was caused by. It was the boot door´s seal ! It´s cliped on a sheet metal edge that´s two layers of sheet metal, beside the part where the catch sits. I´ve ended up glueing the seal on what solved the issue. On a side note: If the seal is pulled and put back on with the bumper on the car the seal wont sit correctly with the outer lip against the car´s body what adds up to the issue with the partly single layer edge.

A good flip for sure. Some costs to consider: tools, materials, fees, transportation, inspection. Some of those costs amortize cheaper over time, like tools. Some are fixed, like getting insurance and registration (in Canada). Carfax history check $40-$60. Many people will not buy a car thats not registered to the seller. Most cars over 5-10 years old require an insurance inspection about $80-$150. Temporarily Driving an unregistered car to a shop or home has some costs to work around, or a towing fee. And the rarity factor, cars like in the video are a rare find. Just some things to consider.
    Stay gold.
