God bless Linda Rhonstadt. Her collaborations with Emmy Lou Harris, and Dolly Parton is priceless. Her control over her vocal instrument was exceptional.
Dolly Parton is a humble, grateful, & gracious person. She wrote "I Will Always Love You" when she was going to leave the Porter Wagoner show. Wagoner was instrumental in starting her career. Later, when Wagoner fell on hard financial times she bought his whole discography. When Wagoner got back on his feet, he asked her if he could buy it back; she told him, "that's what I was waiting for" & sold it back to him for $1. She also started the Imagination Library for kids from birth to age five so they could have free books. She started the My People Fund which gave more than $8 million to people who lost their homes in the Gatlinburg fires. She gave $1Million to Moderna Pharmaceuticals to help them make their COVID19 vaccine. Not only is Dolly Parton a phenomenal songwriter, singer, & businesswoman, but she is also an EarthBound Angel. Ms. Parton, may G-D continue to lavish blessings on you so that you may lavish blessings on us. Thank You!

One of the few trained voices that ever graced popular music. She goes from the bottom of the well to the height of heaven. Her rendition of "Black Roses, White Ribbons and Blues" is gorgeous. A voice performance major myself, she has one of the purest soprano voices I ever heard. She could sing opera with the best and harmonize with these two on a country/western song. From someone who grew up in East Tennesse, listening to Dolly on local TV, especially the Cas Walker shows on Sunday mornings, this was a blessing.
I saw Linda at the WoodLand Park Zoo in Seattle 20 some years ago. She has not changed her beautiful youth appearance at all . I fell in Love with her that day and still am !
Everyone talks about how angelic they sound together -- and I cannot argue with that. Folks talk about how beautiful all three of them are -- and I can't argue with that as well (hell, I've been in LOVE with both Linda and Emmy Lou for decades) -- and Dolly's not bad either! But what really strikes me is, to just see how much pure fun they seem to be having singing together. There is an absolute love of making music that just shines through. These three women seem like they would have just as much fun sitting on the back porch sipping ice tea as sitting in front of an audience. THIS is what making MUSIC is all about!
During an interview, these three talented women harmonized acapella; it was stunning. I'm so glad they recorded the Trio Albums so we could hear their harmonies forever, especially in light of Linda Ronstadt no longer being able to sing. I get chills every time I hear their harmonies. Stunning, just stunning... Brava, Multi Brava, Dear Ladies & Thank You!

And it's absolutely true: Dolly is soooo special... just out of this world. The other two ladies are great singers too! Three angels singing for us heavenly.
No one sang as pure as Linda. Just beautiful! The three of these ladies turned me, a young NYC city slicker, to "country" music back in 1985 due to their Trios work.
Luke Lee Love them all. Ronstadt sang The Star Spangled Banner at Dodgers Stadium, I believe the World Series years ago. One of the best versions I've heard.
I truly love Dolly and Emmylou. But I agree, Linda was truly blessed with the voice of an Angel. I'm so thankful she was part of my lifetime and my story. Thank you, Linda. 🤗
I love Dolly, her songs are just about the most authentic Appalachian sound you’ll ever hear, but they aren’t generally the type of song I’d listen to over and over again like Linda’s and some of Emmylou’s
One thing I love about this is that Dolly is singing in a lower tone - unusual for her - letting the others shine. They are all talented, and together they are remarkable. 3 simple girls become world class musicians.
How many of you fell in love with Linda back in the day. Whenever I want some peace from this stressful world, I turn on Linda, close my eyes and just listen..... peace and relaxation come.
What I find so incredible is that these 3 worked together many more times than we realized. They often sang back up on each other's songs without any credit because their record companies wouldn't allow them to sing on another label. That also meant they didn't get paid for the performance, no royalties just the goodness of their heart.
The Ronstadt documentary was the best music documentary of the year. Powerful, important, flexible pipes - surrounded by devoted musicians and friends. How rare .
I fell in love with Ronstadts beautiful voice and her incredible spirit. When I visit my Mom's house, that poster is still there on my old bedroom wall and in my heart.
I grew up with country music during the reign of Patsy Cline and like many others, thought she could never be bettered. Then, along came Linda Ronstadt with the voice and beauty of an Angel. How on earth can that be beaten?
The magical sound of three angels singing together in unique and perfect harmony. Together they fought the industry in order to be able to release their two c.d's. and sadly Linda's illness frustrated their amition for a third release. Three very close friends joyously performing together for the love of singing and their unique sound.
U can't beat these 3 beautiful lady's for singing,60s,70s,80s, they were the best musicians, singer's,song writers of this area, Old school can't beat these 3 beautiful lady's
Miss the voice and vibe of Linda Ronstadt. The music and musicians she exposed us to was broad and generously celebrated. From this here pure rural country to rockers and Rancheros she always was authenically heartbreaking. Love Dolly and Emmy Lou as well.
Didn't discover Emmylou until I began to explore more of Mark Knopfler's work. Thank God for bringing them into my life and taking me down this melodic trail of so many beautiful collaborations before I got too old to follow.
Always wanted to comfort Linda. Most remarkable vocalist -would not have heard this type of music without her. What makes that voice so heartbreaking.?
Lakeside Path Frogs: She had such a beuatiful tone, great vocal range and command , yet she tapped into and expressed in such a heartfelt, honest and even at times raw way deep despair ("Long, long time"), need ("Love Has no Pride") and loneliness ("Willin', ""[Blue Bayou") SO SOULFULLY that if you were feeling those things in the moment you had your angel Linda letting you know she's with you. I can t tell you what a friend she was to me in some very lonely dark times of my teenage years. She touched the wounds in the gentlest way with her tenderness. True love expressed through her voice.
The first time I heard Desperado was Linda's cover of it. The sad, soulful sound of her voice seemed like it reached inside you and strummed the strings of your heart. I've loved her ever since.
These three together were brilliant. In spite of all being solo stars, their harmony is great and as a team without competing against each other. Great, great singing.
Hi, how are you doing. I hope you are safe and in good health. I'm Allyson from California, looking for a new friend and i saw your pic here. I hope you don't mind, thank you.
When these three angels got together, the world was healed, for a little while. Rarely has any stage been graced with so much talent, beauty and class.
Beautiful music, beautiful spirits, beautiful women.
Couldn’t say it any better.
God bless Linda Rhonstadt. Her collaborations with Emmy Lou Harris, and Dolly Parton is priceless. Her control over her vocal instrument was exceptional.
Amen!
She has progressive nuclear palsy. It's a rare degenerative disease that took my father. She added a lot to my life, and many, many others.
This is singing, just as it is meant. No computers, no nudity no dirty words. just 3 voices and a few instruments
I love how Dolly all but sits out the chorus and lets Linda and Emmylou harmonise. Shows how much these three respect what each other can do.
They've each of them given a boost to the others. It's a beautiful thing.

my goodness, it is never any better than this! The 70's were simply a better time. This is music at its best, amazing.
Didn't discover Emmylou until I began to explore more of Mark Knopfler's work. Thank God for bringing them into my life and taking me down this melodic trail of so many beautiful collaborations before I got too old to follow.
The sweetest gift is the sound of the three of you singing the sweetest gift...
Linda Ronstadt is an angel with a voice to match. How I wish she could overcome her problem.
enchanting .. the true voice of America
TRIO, their perfect harmonies, with no one trying to outdo another. I am so glad I lived to hear them.
Hi Carol hope you’re okay?
Hi Carole hope you're okay?
I came for The Trio but I stay for Linda. What makes that voice so sad? Heartbreaking.
We believed everything Linda sang. A heart bandit for sure. Miss that voice and love her deeply.
Heard this for the first time today. So beautiful couldn't stop crying. Country music is so beautiful
Sheer perfection and heaven on earth. No auto tune, just beautiful harmonies. Ms. Ronstadt we miss your amazing voice.
Hello Cathleen
Thanks, that this song of "the trio" was recorded and we can listen to it even years later.
What a sweet tune... No egos, just beautiful tones and harmony.
the soul ! In magnificent voices. They are the first Ladies of folk music. I'am 64 and I love Linda, Emmylou and Dolly like in my young years.
Emmylou’s high harmonies really make this song. It is the halo sent down from heaven for this song, so to speak lol.
When these three angels got together, the world was healed, for a little while. Rarely has any stage been graced with so much talent, beauty and class.
It's almost like hearing a Country version of The Three Tenors. Love all three of these fantastic women.
The sadness of Linda's illness keeps her yet in past years of wonderful melodies..Aye que Bonita la Linda!
Wow, such generous performers, no one oneupmanship just supporting each other. Beautiful
TRIO --magical power in those harmonies. Linda's voice is indeed the sweetest gift.
