    I LOVE TAIPEI ALOT! People r friendly and food r cheap and nice!!
    Did anybody experience urself standing on the left hand side of the escalator instead on the right when u r in taiwan? Especially when u r frm singapore, and u r alr used to standing on the left side and tend to forgot tat u hav to stand on the right in taiwan. Haha 😅

      I went to Japan and everyone stands and walks on the left side. I was shocked. Haha

    The only thing I hate about Taiwan is probably the scooter army and the way people drive. Other than that it's a paradise to me~

    • @DakFortheWin
      @DakFortheWin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ikr. The scooters can cut around cars to head to the front of traffic which makes car drivers have to look all around them to make sure its safe. Also they drive onto the sidewalks cuz sometimes theres parking there so i have to look around me as a pedestrian as well.

      They have a very interesting food culture. A lot of good food and easy for westerners. What was the meaning of those hairclips in Korea? Was it symbolic or jsut a cute fad.

    I was a Mandarin linguist stationed at Shulinkou AFB outside of Taibei in the 70's. Went back in early 90's to attend a seminar. Lots of fond memories. They were very pro USA back then. We were treated as valued allies. I woke up many a morning in some Taiwan pengyou's couch not remembering the night before! Their drunken, "shaoxing jiu" (Taiwan moonshine) business lunches were killer. I would be bombed out of my mind, yet they would just take a short siesta and be back at work in a couple hours.

    Do you make longer videos? Like this video but instead of a bunch of 30 second clips stuck together, you'd have an extended version of this same video? I love love love your videos but they are sometimes hard to follow (for me that is) because they "jump" around so much. I'm still watching them and am still subscribed but I was just wondering, since I am a new subscriber, if I'm missing something. Thank you.

      Your sub might be 1K but your view count is AMAZING for your sub base and the time frame! It's really impressive. =D
      To anyone who reads this thread:
      Each trip is a miracle and a mixed blessing for me. My comment came off as sarcastic, but it's coming from the realization I spend an excessive amount of time working on my videos, updating my social media account to promote my videos and blog over finding paid work to pay for the necessities of my travel and life.
      TH-cam content creation can be full-tiime work and invested time, skill, equipment and money; it's something you're not always sure you'll find an audience for and this can make or break a creator alone (and that's not even including fielding negative comments). A lot of self-sacrifice and long hours go into it, like a startup business (with the exception you're not doing it for financial profit, but for yourself and your followers); this is something only TH-cam creators can understand.
      If you feel I am complaining, then I have every right to do so. This channel is my creation and it is always open to donation support . patreon.com/grrrltraveler

      taiwan is fairly cheap to travel in compared to most countries. overall, the hotels are cheap, the food is really good as well as being low-priced, and traveling, especially on the subway, is worth the money

    Such a disappointment when you travel half way around the world and are excited to capture good footage/photos and the weather doesn't cooperate. Wow, that crepe looked really yummy, but damn that line was long! Did you see any signs that say "drugs punishable by death?" I saw one at the Taipei airport a few years back. Great video, look forward to watching your others.

    • @grrrltraveler

      Death penalty is rarely dole out and even more rarely executed. The worse sentencing in Taiwan now is actually life sentence, but for really brutal cases death penalty is still there as an option.

    I'm going to Taiwan in October for more than 3 weeks. Are you saying WiFi is difficult to use?

    • @grrrltraveler
      @grrrltraveler  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could just be me and the areas I attempted to hook up, but my iPhone was not connecting in certain public wifi areas. Metros eventually became ok. I'll be posting a Taiwan city guide article on my blog after this WED, and I'll have more detail about wifi and SIM. It's not as straightforward as it sounds

      +GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa This article says that "Visitors can open an iTaiwan account at a Taiwan Tourism Bureau counter/center, show their passport as ID and that’s it: they can login using their account, on their digital devices."

  • @JamesLChen
    @JamesLChen 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, I go to Taiwan quite a bit. For the iTaiwan Wifi, you just have to be able to read Chinese. You just have to register your phone number and you can set your own password. You just have to sign up.
