DIR Floortime: What it is and is not

Many approaches have emerged for autism. This variety is often confusing for therapists and it is infinitely harder for parents to navigate which is the approach is more suitable for their family's needs. In this tutorial, we discuss DIR/Floortime- What is it? And most importantly, DIR Floortime -what it isn't through. We break down the D, I and the R components and compare it visually so that you may gain a clearer understanding in this lecture.
DIR/Floortime is a therapeutic intervention that is used to promote an individual's development through a playful, respectful, and joyful process.
