    Hi mate, I moved to Australia a few years ago and as I am interested in fishing I have watched many videos about fishing. But mate, no one explains the stuffs about fishing like you do, with so much passion and simplicity. You are a legend❤. I am a big fan. Keep going mate. Thank you.

    I am a firm believer of leaving the big claw on the yabbies. If I've got one that looks to be a bit feisty, I will just pull the top part of the pincer off (the one that moves) so he can't get me and the claw can stay on

    Roger, after spending way too much time and effort working at exec level, finally back into fishing after 35 years and your vids have definitely helped. Wow how have rods, lines and reels changed in that time ??
    Cheers mate!

    On the other side where the caravan park is, 5 years ago I pullen in 5 large salmon and a large bream on raw black king prawns in 15 minutes. It was cast and catch. When the inlet is open the whiting are in the thousands on the inlet side of the caravan park in the shallows, just up in to the caravan park side, in the shallow section.
    Prawning by net is great at night in the shallows also.😇
    Is the inlet open?

    I found when I’m targeting whitening , bream , dart with nippers or worm is I put a little red bead just above the hook , for some reason I think it helps fish to spot your bait In Turbulent waters.

    My daughter’s favourite fish are the trevally…..I like most fish but just love couta….in my youth in VIC there were boats which would troll for couta to supply the fish and chip market.

    Hi Roger, I must say I thoroughly love watching your videos when I can’t get out myself. I do fish your area too, although I go further south to Dalmeny and Narooma. I assume you park your car at lake Tabourie beach car park and walk to the beach, I live in Sydney but just love fishing the far south coast. I consider myself a pretty good fisho, but I have learnt so much more from your videos, so thankyou. 😊

    My hubby pumps the nippers as I have a wrist that can’t pull up the pump, I catch the nippers by hand , I rig them up for him, and never take the pincer off

  • @FadiGawrieh
    @FadiGawrieh ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you Roger, I have noticed that you started to use a new rig where the sinker is in the middle. I would love to see how you make this rig. Another question, please can I get any tip for not cutting my finger during casting, especially when I'm using a braided line.

    • @martingray8350

    • @RogerOsborneFishing
      @RogerOsborneFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Fadi, I will show you in the next video. I have decided to mainly use monofilament off the beach because I don't like the risk of being cut by braid

    • @thedon9670
      @thedon9670 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why not just use a paternoster set up? With double dropper loop.

    • @YONICBOXING
      @YONICBOXING ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thedon9670coz it’s a sliding clip which you clip your star sinker on so that your live bait can run and move a little bit more freely. Also so that when a fish takes the bait it can run with the bait without feeling the weight of the sinker.

    Yabby is a Australian name for fresh water crayfish.
    Do they have one claw or two.?

    • @RogerOsborneFishing
      @RogerOsborneFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, my dad called them yabbies but most people call them nippers. In South Africa they call them pink prawns!

    • @anderserisian8078
      @anderserisian8078 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RogerOsborneFishing Everyone in Queensland calls them Yabbies too. Been estuary&beach fishing up here 40 years or so, and if anyone calls them a nipper, the instant assumption is New South Welshman. The fresh water crayfish (Cherax Destructor) are also called Yabbies, much larger and two clawed, which leads to some confusion.
