College Football 25 Dynasty - My 1 Star Program Played a Top 10 Opponent | Ep.3

- My first BIG Dynasty in College Football 25 is with the Buffalo Bulls, a 1 star program that has never been ranked higher than #23 and has only won 3 Bowl Games. A big challenge is ahead as I aim to build this program into a college football powerhouse. Recruiting will be a major challenge and the lack of resources will make it tough to rebuild the Bulls. But I've been waiting 11 years for this game, and I'm ready for my newest Dynasty.
In this Dynasty I will play on Heisman difficulty. I will be playing every single game with no simulating. Not every game will get its' own video, but no significant action or important storylines will be missed. I plan to spend many years trying to build the Bulls into the best team I can.

I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn’t a 4 interception game Cane 😅
I like watching his streams because he actually plays competitive games. Some of these streamers take a one star school and go undefeated year one which is totally unrealistic. Like seeing the struggle and the build. You will always be the top guy at this IMO
Facts
Cane takes us all on a ride when he does dynasty or franchise unlike some other content creators
Gameplay in this game is infinitely more fun than Madden. I don't care that the sliders might not be lower or that he mostly ran screens and dump-off passes, I'm just happy to see an actual passing game on this channel again.
26:45 I am genuinely upset that Brogan Froholdt is such a longshot for us, because holy crap, that is an absolutely incredible name for a linebacker. May or may not eventually steal that for a Road To Glory playthrough or something.
He is now Hjalte Froholdt's brother, I just made it official series canon. 😎
CJ Ogbonna is a large man, but he looks positively wilted now. His 6'2" frame has managed to tuck itself away almost back into his locker as he sits in front of it, pads and jersey still on even as most of his teammates were undressed, he looks shell shocked.
"What do you want me to say, I know I shouldn't have been surprised at this point but I just...I thought we had it, things were unfolding that way I guess." He shrugs, before leaning back and crossing his arms.
"I've been with this school for 4 years, I remember watching every major college program pass on me, I know how to take a punch but this...I dunno man. "
When I asked him if taking on a ranked school and nearly winning felt like a moral victory in of itself, CJ looks offended. "No, a loss is a loss, plain and simple. I've seen a lot of them, and tommorow this one is just going to blend in with the rest, I just know it."
How does Adam Cain break a cycle of failure that seems to have gripped his football program at every level? How do you undo a losing culture?
I'll try to ask him that the next time he's out golfing.
-Sam Stensgaard
Hate to be that guy but CJ ogbonna transferred to Buffalo, committed there in 2023.
@@slimmdusty8809 I wish Sam knew this when he was asking him questions. Would've made for a funny interview.
Regaarding this letter it was EXCELLENT
This teams strikes me as capable of winning 9 or 10 games this year, but taking a step back next year after all the seniors leave.
Man I thought they were going to slap us all up n down the field but our guys kept it competitive and that got me excited! Good play from Ogbonna, #2 and #6 this offense looks pretty solid already.
Impressive lost that pocket presence was next level for CJ
Feeling proud of Cane for this loss 😂 great game plan today
@@Angrychef-jx8bp for sure. Cane had a great scheme for mizz not gonna lie.
My first couple years with UConn I didn’t bother scouting players, instead focusing on trying to get bodies in while my coach leveled up and make scouting easier. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I have managed to get one 4 star 3 years in a row and a bunch of 2-3 stars, so the team is looking pretty good for year 5. Year 4 I’ve been scouting players since the outgoing seniors/needs aren’t in the 20’s, so I can focus on going after quality players vs bodies to replace 29 players on list those transferring away.
Love the way you call PBP like the local radio guy... awesome stuff!
Incredible effort, and even as the lead slipped away UB played with poise and still was capable of making plays. Just a slightly better throw away from at least having a shot at tying down the stretch. Nothing to hang your head at
Don’t want to spoil this video for anyone, but besides that, it was great to see this game against Mizzou being close for entertainment purposes but with all due respect, it would’ve been ok for it to not be a super close game but somewhat close. I personally want this series to be challenging because it’s a dynasty rebuild and rebuilds in my opinion are supposed to be a challenge. I will also mention that some sliders like receiver catching could be adjusted since it’ll make the game look a bit more realistic. That’s just my opinion. But besides that, I’m excited to watch this series and hopefully it’ll be a good one.
Hey Cane, just wanted to say I started scouting a 4 star CB to come to Hawaii after my bowl game and he committed so don’t give up on those higher level prospects late in the game. I was shocked on National signing day lol
Dude you have gotten much better at quarterbacking! Nice doink btw
It’s honestly play calling. A lot more ways to get the ball out quickly in college football playbooks
Man that hurts. One thing flips and we win that game. Great game from the team.
Has to be one of the best Games I have seen you do to date.
Cain being great at cfb 25 was not on my 2024 bingo card😂 what a game
So close at the end damn what a heartbreaker i’m rooting for you cain team has a bright future
You mentioned it in the Miami hurricane video but make sure to watch out for upsets. The games sim is pretty wild(and it seems it may be patched soon). I had coastal carolina and uab win the natty in year 3 and 4 of my test/early dynasty. I actually went through each team and forced a solid amount of wins (in my new dynasty I just started with southern Georgia) for the bigger schools, although I definitely still left room for upsets. (It took my like an hour, definitely less the two. They have the overall next the team in the team schedule which is really nice)
I would love to watch the other variation you got going, but I can't willingly watch the hurricanes. Lol.
Happy to see you back to ncaa cane!! Have you considered turning the speed differential up? I put mine at 70. There will still be big plays, but they are fewer and feel really rewardjng when they happen.
Most underrated cfb youtuber
Cane nailing the timing on the stick routes is a sight to see! love to see the short passing game and the RPOs set up a handful of shots, tough result but super-fun watch
EDIT - Gonna miss CJ Ogbana, hope the heir apparent flashes some of the same style
also im having great results with injury slider at 32
man holy shit, i remember watching you when i was like 9-10 doing your gopher franchises😭i would sit inside all summer just binge watching. I just bought the game last night and started a gophers franchise and thought of you! glad to see you're still going hard man! Im grown now lol thats insane
this series is so good .
Heartbreaking loss but super entertaining to watch. Can’t wait for the next game!
Cain, I love watching your videos you inspired me to do my own dynasty with Texas State. My Team is currently back-to-back National Champions, pulling in top 15 recruiting classes, and is in the SEC dominating thanks for being an inspirational figure
I think you asked this in a previous video but you can view players wear and tear in the depth chart tab, push right on the R-Stick🏈
Man missed r1 on the crossing route on tbe last drive would have put you in fg range. Still hell of a game. I was expecting it to be 45-6 lol
I remember when I heard this game was coming out I specifically thought of your channel, glad its going well man loving these videos.
Never seen mizzou run so much in real life but in this game they are Wisconsinesque
Probably the best QB play I've seen from Cane in 10 years lol that was some pretty gameplay. I would love to see a 4 star prospect on the team next year, but only if the fit is right
This is going to be your best series yet!!
A couple of my friends were talking and we feel like since there is no NIL money to be used that for the tune up games for bigger schools that the smaller schools should get more hours for that week to act like them getting paid in real life to be that tune up game. That would add some incentive for smaller schools to want to play the bigger schools for more scouting hours that week. Just a rhought
Hey Cane, thank you for showing the sliders and settings! I get the Xbox series X tomorrow so looking forward to rebuilding my Sun Devils!
Episode was great, you narrate very well
As a Mizzou Alum I was stressing but as a Cane fan I was impressed with the offensive gane plan. I need the outcome to be much more comfortable irl
Honestly, despite the result, this was one of the best performances you have ever had.
That was a great game
Wish they were hour long episodes
(23:00) was a penalty either targeting or roughing the passer or helmet to helmet and possibly taunting
I’m surprised that buffalo is this good on heisman difficulty
so close nice hard game great episode
Go BUFF 💪
Hey Cane! I’ve watched some videos on recruiting and am still confused a bit. Would love it if you could do a tutorial/breakdown on it
Considering he played well against SEC play the MAC shouldn’t but that difficult
Nice game. I too am Buffalo and lost this one by 3 scores. What sliders you using for this series?
we fought. good game
We need 2 videos a day hurricane
He posts once a day and he might play 2 games in one video
HEAVILY INVEST IN THE O-LINE. we had em😢
MIZ 💛🖤
Z-O-U!!!!
I'm a Georgia Tech fan, but moved to Missouri, so that and the fact they also hate Georgia are enough for me to adopt them as my second favorite team.
Ogbonna is gonna be the #1 pick in the draft
you should start richie watts i do passing training with him lol
Quality loss if there ever was one!
What passing style settings does Hurricane play with?
I've been playing with placement and accuracy for a couple days including this game.
@@MrHurriicane do you feel that passing style takes away from the QB ratings and makes it more about the user skill? I know you are huge on ratings doing the work, or lack there of. Which is where I’m caught between revamped and placement and accuracy… any thoughts would be hugely appreciated
21:15 a juke woulda scored 😭😭😭
22:20 you held the button down too long.
I just Beat Buffalo 15-14 on a last second field goal
😂
Sooo close
Got robbed on 3 picks!
You should watch Bordeauxs recruiting video. Breaks it down fantastic and helped my recruiting alot
It sucks Buffalo doesn't play Miami University in the MAC this year so we don't get a chance to face Blaine Gabbert's brother Brett who is the QB and a Senior
Cane, how do your pass blocking to actually work? Cuz when I play hesiman, my oline won’t even attempt to block he defender in front! And it’s caused me to go on all American. What should I do?
"Pass defense has been tough for Buffalo."
Buddy, you could be Georgia and you'd be saying the same thing with this game
No shot this game would have ever been this close, another Kalispell becomes powerhouse in 3 seasons despite being a 1 star program I see
is the Wear and tear working?
It's not been a factor in my first games. I noticed it immediately in Play Now games. Feel like it's bugged in dynasty.
@@MrHurriicane it’s worked really well in my dynasty so that’s weird.
@@MrHurriicane Im 7 games into my ECU dynasty and it hasnt affected anyone on my team but has affected other teams players as you would expect. Dont know if the injury slider affects this or what
@@MrHurriicaneseems like they were scared of dynasty players complaining
*DEVASTATING!!! EXCRUCIATING!!! UTTERLY SOUL CRUSHING!!!* 😭😭😭
Can't wait for the next video to drop 😊
Anti spoiler line you’re welcome. I thought we were goin to the playoffs. Keep playing like this and we still might
Taylor Daniel Thompson Cynthia Taylor Betty
First
Officially confirmed 😎
Not sure if you were trying to lose so you could forgo the 2-0 start but the second half it looked like you just took your foot off the gas and just slammed the brake pedal. Easily should have won this.
Love watching your game's but NCAA 25 blocking and tackling is atrocious
I just beat Buffalo with Akron 30-10😅
I have made it official series canon that Brogan Froholdt is the brother of real life NFL O-lineman Hjalte Froholdt.
Jet touch is broken
Yikes tossing into such tight coverage cost the game yikes. Still nice
And here’s the issue with this game. Rebuilds are not fun at all. Cane will go 11-1 how is that fun?
You’re weird
This game looks awful. It’s obvious EA doesn’t care about the quality of their games
people always trash you for picks and stuff but i gotta say, you played exceptionally well in this game. pretty much perfect quarterbacking and playcalling here, just one play away from a chance for a win. great video btw!
While I think the mockery for picks is all love and in good fun, I agree that this was some really sharp gameplay by Cane. Had a really good gameplay to compensate for the talent gap between UB and a stout Mizzou team. I see some upsets from the Bulls coming this season.
@@Ayeee155strangely enough Cane has always thrived with quarterbacks that are limited passers. He really seems at home in a scaled back offense that doesn’t necessitate anticipation.
I think he’s adjusting well from the “pro” Madden perspective to this quick college game
@@Ayeee155part of it is All Madden in Madden just makes it ridiculously easy for the AI to come up with picks, and combine that with Canes 3 or 4 bad reads a game and you get the Cane interception memes lol
Only bad qb play was 2 missed first down opportunities on second to last drive
Nick McMillan is turning into my favorite buffalo wideout
He's the man. He's crushing it in his senior year for me. So reliable
Coach Cain had a great gameplan to use the screen game as an extension of the run and Ogbonna executed very well and had some highlight-worthy scrambles to boot! This week's loss is as good as last week's win was bad lol
What a game! Cane with maybe his best play calling I have seen. Maybe should of used the QB’s legs a little more in the 2nd half. Love this series
New Cane video dropped, babe. He's churning out the content ❤
These videos don't seem droopy.
@@palestalemale8831 fixed.
Nothing was more unexpected than that first half ass whooping
Definitely would’ve stayed with the RPO/screen game late. You would’ve had to be in hurry up because of the time crunch but with the talent disparity the straight drop back game is always gonna be difficult to overcome. Another great video, looking forward to the rest of the season!
Haven't seen the Video but judging by the Thumbnail, it went as expected 😅
I’m a little late. But Mr.hurricane this is so awesome I’ve watched and supported you for so long, I’m from Buffalo and now finally I get a hometown rebuild from you, Christmas came early for me 😁😁 you’re the best keep it up 👍🏻
JJ Jenkins is an absolute elite football name
Play has matched it so far
Absolutely wild to go from beating Maine by 5 to nearly beating ¹⁰Mizzou on the road on national television
What an effort for UB. Making SUNY proud.
Keep using screens
I think this video and game specifically is a good showing of how this game has its flaws, some bigger than others but generally speaking EA actually got it right. Genuinely haven’t felt this way about a game since NCAA14.
Edit: Shoutout Eric Pacheco, he’s from where I currently work! 203 stand up!!
Its clear this team goes as far as CJ ogbanna goes, without him this team would be in much worse shape, gonna be a tough replacement.
Easy Bulls win calling it now
I’m glad to see the end of the game came down to a within fingertips of an overthrown ball, instead of a bad or unnecessary interception. That game was played perfectly, nothing to be ashamed Buffalo!!! You played your hearts out!!!
Day, idk i lost count, of wanting Cane to pick a 1 star school as a coordinator, only play that side of the ball and work his way up to be head coach of bigger schools through the coaching carousel!! Lol
Never mind the missed deep ball at the end of the game; Ogbonna's efforts in this game were heroic.
Hey, nothing wrong with adding walk-ons...they might blossom.
