In GA life with poss parole means she’s eligible for parole in 30 years. She has an added consecutive 8 years plus another 5 consecutive years. 30 + 8 + 3 = 43 years before she’s eligible for parole. She’ll be 68 years old.

Her side asked for mercy while she showed none towards the man’s life she took. It’s an insult to talk about how good she was when she took a life and wasn’t remorseful whatsoever. She was smiling in the cop car. Good deeds don’t wash out bad deeds just like bad deeds don’t wash out good deeds. If she actually showed a bit of remorse I could see her getting less time but she showed none. She is lucky she got parole. Hopefully someone shows her justice while she is locked up. Hopefully someone doesn’t mind their business and tries to do the right thing”right thing”. F her and everyone that spoke on her behalf.

Both defendant and her attorney have a superiority complex. He has the audacity to tell the judge to use her notes, in sentencing, as if she needed help with doing her job. She’s a judge for a reason. Then he goes on to gas light every state witness, by saying they didn’t see what they saw, and the jury misunderstood the video and her 911 calls, with Hannah being aggressive. Even if everything she said was true, (which I don’t believe) the minute she cut him off and he couldn’t go anywhere, should have been the end of it. Why at that point did you get out of your car and go to his window with a gun. You knew the police were on the way, so that alone to me should’ve given her life with no possibility of parole. And the judge didn’t even admonish her for what she had done, she just went straight into the sentence ignoring the pleas of the family.

I don't always agree with what a dispatcher tells me to do/not to do, and a few times we had "back & forth discussions" AFTER I followed their instructions though. If you refuse to follow instructions by a 911 dispatcher, it's going to look really bad for you (not the dispatcher) in court if something high profile happens. If you are following orders from a dispatcher, and something happens that is high profile, then you could go into court and say "yeah Your Honor, I did exactly what she told me to do, and here's the proof bruh (don't call the Judge "bruh").

Hannah’s ultimate actions may not have been wise, or right, but I believe that her original intent was to get his tag number and try to help the police locate him so there would not be another accident, possibly fatal.

From her calls to 911, her interrogation and her testimony I don’t get any of the kindness and caring her parent’s friend Ms. Votoney describes. I didn’t see one iota of sadness or compassion towards the deceased Mr. Herring. She only cried when she was found guilty and then sentenced. Hopefully the supposedly good human being that Ms. Votoney describes Hannah as being will help others while she’s in prison and hopefully her goodness will make her admit to taking a life and reach out and apologize to Mr. Herring’s loved ones. May God bless the Herring family and also the Payne for the tragedy their daughter caused.
