You don’t need to wait until night. Just cover the daylight sensor that’s behind the rear view mirror. From the outside, on the front windshield, I usually cover it up with just duct tape or a hoodie over the sensor and then I can test the lights without waiting for sun down.
Hey mate, I see that you reply to almost all comments, so I just wanted to ask you something off-topic. I'm thinking of buying a W205 Mercedes, but I don't know what to look for. I have a strict budget and I'm looking for something reliable and somewhat easy to maintain. I have my eyes on a 220d. Also should i get a facelift model or there is not much of a difference? What can you tell me about it? Could you recommend which engines to look for and what options are best? Is it even a good decision to get a W205 on a strict budget.
Please tell me, could disconnecting the battery created some bigger issues with the car or it's completely safe? Trying to pull this change by myself, thanks for tutorial
I can only tell you I already do it in the video and that I’ve done it hundreds of times during other mods with no issues and I’ve seen mechanics do the same thing if they are working on electrical components. If you are worried, then please take your car to a professional to get the mod done.
Hey Flexx, quick question, on your video you cut into the blue wire but I ordered the big wing 🪽 ones and there's no blue but a black and white and a red and white, so I'm asking if I have to do this procedure on the red and white wire? Thanks in advance
Hahaha. For some lights like this, you can cut one wire and just temp put a resistor (without soldering), and see if it works. If not, just swap it to the other wire. Won’t hurt the lights or car. And easier way is You can plug the light into the car, and just follow the wire from the light to the wire on the car, and you’ll be able to see which wire is the power wire and which is a ground.
Greetings Flexx. I like option #2 I would like to know if # 2 is available for c250 w204 sedan . 2010 model. I want to upgrade my Steering Wheel, may you recommend one that fits and could accommodate my current Airbag?
The dmp version are pretty bright on my car. Hope you didn’t buy them from a random reseller online cause if they include a resistor, it probably cuts off too much power to the bulbs.
Hi I need ur help please! Bought these but realised both my puddle lights don’t work! They both don’t turn on. There is defo a Light on both sides and both connectors are good? Any ideas please? Nice video but I can’t do this as my puddle lights don’t have power :/
@@TheFlexxGarageI do too, they remind me of the Benz grilles, promotional vehicle wraps and the LED headlight animation on 2024 models that project to the front of cars. Opt 1, is the best of the 3 you showed!
So I just got mine in today and I’m gonna try the install without the resister to see the result. But in case I have to add the resister on, my lights only has red & black. I’m ASSUMING the red would be the blue wire in this case, but I don’t wanna go off an assumption and cut the wrong wire.
No way. That would be illegal in most places. They only mimic the oem light which only activates at night (car has to sense it’s dark out), and turns on when the car is unlocked. And then turns off when youre inside and turn the car on.
You don’t need a resistor if you have 360 cam right?
Don’t know. I don’t have a 360 cam enabled mirrors to test.
@@TheFlexxGarageanother video says that’s the case, about to find out myself once it turns dark and will report back in case anyone else does

@@TheFlexxGarage confirming resistors are NOT needed if optioned with 360 cameras
Nice!!!! Now people with 360 cam can review this comment and know. Appreciate the feedback and support!!
option 1 for sure.
The bigger wings bro! I'm thinking of getting those
I’m kinda leaning that way. Thanks for the feedback!
@@TheFlexxGaragedo you have a coupon discount!?
Top video as always thanks for sharing. Always look forward to watching your modifications 🫶

Great vid and option 1 is awesome!
It really is!
Big angel wingz all day!! It looks sooo clean
Agreed!

Option 3 is coolest👍🌹
Nice choice!
🔥🔥🔥
Did DMP give you the specs for the resister they provided? Ie 0.5 ohm, 1 ohm etc.
No. I just installed what was in the kit.
Option 1👍

Resistor should be installed on anything that’s not black or brown. Cause those are usually ground wires.
@@TheFlexxGarage I figured that brother but still had to check with the Flexx God 🤙🏽! Thanks!

I installed them and i wish they were more bright like the door welcome lights

You do know that they only come on at night, right?
Resistors fitted?
Does anyone know how to remove the hardware restricting access to the camera? All of this has to be removed to access the puddle lights.
Option 1 looks like the US flag
It kinda does. The styling. But it’s 3 point stars. I don’t know why, but I keep thinking they look like jets streaming! Lol

Black is always ground (negative) so the other color is the power (positive) wire.

How…any tips on how to not scratch paint when taking off covers, anxiety x2.
Tape everything that could get hit, with painters tape. And use plastic trim removal tools.
