The Mercedes service department said my whole side mirror was broken and was going to charge me 1850 for replacing the mirror. I just ordered the mirror glass from Mercedes for 200 bucks and fixed it using this video myself. Thank you so much and shame on Mercedes

Finally, a video professionally showing everything needed to know on the subject. That is a W222, right? My wife smacked the right mirror on her 2015 S550. Only broke the housing and indicator light. Found a new painted housing and used, but perfect indicator lens for about $150. This saves me from having the stealership... er, dealership from charging 200+ labor! Thanks!!!

Thanks for another helpful vid. I had a door mirror which juddered to the open position when unlocking the car. By removing the mirror shell as shown here I was able to access the hinge and lubricate it. Mirror is now operating smoothly. My tip is, if you unclip the shell in the folded position, it gives you slightly better access. Cheers

thanks just bought the 2017 mercerdes c300 Amg sport it had a cracked indicator. just bought the oem part and needed to how to fix the indicator. my guess was the outside cap pops off

@@killerhertzmercedes Thank you for the video and this comment. I only had some small pry tools used for iphone repairs, but good enough to pop out the bottom and top parts. This gave me enough room to reach the connector to the indicator light, which had indeed come loose. Pushed it back in and working lights again!

My 2017 C300 through a rod despite only having 54,000 miles on the odometer and excellent service records all of which have been performed at Mercedes-Benz dealerships. I contacted Mercedes-Benz corporate customer service to report this and to initiate a warranty claim and it was rejected twice. The cost of the repairs was going to be over $15,000. Do not buy a w205

@@killerhertzmercedes 4000 miles over warranty despite all services being performed at MB Dealerships MB corporate does not recognize this as a
"factory recognized defect" (what ever the **** that is suppose to mean). To add to that, MB has the worst customer service in the industry; even some "warranty" claims are rejected or refused because of how cheap and crappy of a company MB is. Often times owners have to resort to threatening legal action just to have relatively common issues fixed.
