New to the channel. Just came across you in a video from 3 years ago. Going through all your highlights as my wife and I are getting started in our Amazon FBA journey. We hope to be where you are 7 years from now! 🎉
After this Q4, I have learned the importance of correct box sizing for cost saving! My boxes have not looked the best, but resizer is now ordered!! Thanks Nikki!
Your office is gorgeous! You are so wonderful and inspirational. As you fill the space, the echo will go away. Consider something to define the office space, which would stop the echo greatly. Could be plants, dividers, something hanging, plants, shelves, etc. Also, cork is especially good sound absorber. It can be painted, and cork and some bamboo products are made for floors, walls, etc. Plants and soil could make a great sound absorber. Rugs are also helpful. I'm sure you will find great solutions. You're so resourceful and accomplished.
Love the new office space, Nikki! I would love to see more sourcing videos in 2024. Courses are great, but being "in the thick of" whatever you want to learn is probably the best way to learn it, especially if you have a kind, knowledgeable mentor to guide you :)
I love the tax series! That's the context I was going to ask for! Also, how do you tackle taking money out of the business and still have money to buy product! I would love any financial tip topics! Love your content! Thank you!
Thank you! That ultimately comes down to each business owner, some people who have other income just keep rolling over their Amazon profit to grow. I started to take out money every month on month 5 because I needed it to pay my bills and live. I always suggest rolling over until you have enough money to support buying new products and inventory and of course all your tools and then pulling out money as needed or on a consistent basis. To help keep you going at the start, treat yourself to something, even if it’s small but it helps to pay yourself in a new pair of shoes or a little getaway or car payment, something to make it all worth while at least while you build
as you fill the space the echo will be way less .. love the box storage ( I do toys n vinyl records mostly and have 7 diff sizes I keep 10-50 of , plus reuse alot) ..I got my Thermal printer this week , Ive only been selling since August, I expected 3 - 5 orders a week, so I would print (inkjet) cut my lable, flip the paper so I could print a second label , then cut it out too, well.. 300 orders in I now have the thermal and YES, should have gotten it from the start!! haha sooo much wasted time..14 orders I woke up too and am thankfull I got my thermal.. but now I want a second to print stickers, thank you notes and packing slips.
Yes! It’s slowly getting better, I’m hanging some drapes next week I think that will really help it out as well. And YES! A thermal printer is so amazing I wish I’d gotten one sooner
Amazing video thank you!! Do you have a video by chance showing how you have amazon short thew the boxes where you pay them .15 cents an item… new here 😅
Congrats on the new office, it looks amazing! 🤩 Exciting about the clothing boutique as well! And I do know downtown Tualatin as I pass through there on one my sourcing routes (I’m in Portland). 😊
It's crazy that you don't use box contents, but when you do, be careful when you send it to Amazon. I've had some issues with the boxes not being numbered the same as in inventory lab. That might get fixed by the time next year rolls around tho :D
@@NikkiKirk , its an educated guess - but I had been going off of box numbers and had one shipment all done before I realized. Fixing that was a pain but better me than an Amazon shipment problem metric haha
Your office looks so beautiful! Cannot wait to see when it’s all set up. Also, I have been wondering about the fan fold labels! I have been ordering the roll and then folding them myself 😅 Definitely calling UPS and ordering the fan fold next time.
In IL you can do box contents where you scan and throw it in the box then it tells Amazon what’s in each box so you don’t have to do the form fill out thing and you don’t pay the manual processing fee. I currently don’t do that but I will start next year. Then I won’t pay that manual processing fee anymore
Ok! I think I may have an old video that has that but that’s a good idea for a future video as well! Polybags and labels are a must. Packing tape and a printer if you don’t have one
Just a math question. In one of your previous videos you said that you started selling on Amazon in September 2017 . So by December 2023 you have selling for 6 years and 3 months. How you came up with 7,5 years?
I really just use the Amazon app which is free and keepa which has a free version but the paid version is what you need. Theres other apps that cost money that can be helpful but you don’t need them when starting necessarily
congrats for your new place. im learning for you videos. i'm trying to get ungate i just struggling right now . I have some questions i hope i'm not bothering you with it.. first questions is software to use seller amp do you recommend it i just choosing it because has a monthly payment.s. second question will be i would like also more OA with you. Last question is at the beginning can you recommend witch model more FBA or FBM and you suggest have a professional account?. my best regards and congrats again for your sucess
Hey! Yes I recommend a professional account 100%. I do FBA but you can do whatever model works for you. I think to scale down the road FBA is better but if you can mange lots of orders each day that may work great. I do have seller amp but I don’t use it. It’s another tool to help and scanner and some sellers love it. It’s a preference and yes it is an added cost so if you’re trying to keep costs down then maybe not needed to start.
Hi Nikki, is one of your videos you mentioned you got free envelopes from USPS but in your other video I believe you said you use UPS for shipping (bc it's amazon's default). So how does this work? Thanks in advance!
I actually use USPS mostly because it’s 5 minutes away and UPS is 35 minutes one way away. You can get free supplies from both, the usps you have to use with usps mailing. The free boxes I get from ups (there is a blog post on this here yoursellingguide.com/2023/08/22/ups-free-boxes-shipping-supplies/) you can use anywhere cause they are blank boxes.
@@NikkiKirk I went thru the process but it looks like they don’t have soft envelopes for shipping. That’s how I ship my product usually bc it’s light and small
Omg that’s so amazing!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! I think more vlog style videos. I’d love to see u set up ur little boutique! 😊🎉

Awesome! Congrats on starting!! There’s a new seller playlist that might be best place. I have lots of videos 😆
Congratulations Nikki in your new office! I saw you grow up in this space. So proud of your accomplishments.
Im very happy for you Nikki. You deserve all the blessings coming your way. Thank you for the value you share with your videos👍🏾
Thank you!!
Can you please have more content about the financial side of arbitrage. For example, how you keep track of monthly income and expenses.
wow u got out of the van👍👍👍👍👍👍
After this Q4, I have learned the importance of correct box sizing for cost saving! My boxes have not looked the best, but resizer is now ordered!! Thanks Nikki!
Yes! It really is a handy little thing. Mine just keeps falling apart but my friend I think fixed it for me

Thank you!! I want to add lots of plants, I appreciate all these tips! I might do the cork painted or add inside some “art”
LOVE the new office space. I'm so jealous of all the space. Makes our 1,200 sq ft outbuilding look tiny lol
Thanks!! I’m going to fill it fast haha I keep thinking of what you said how fast yours did and I’m like oh no 😂😂😂

Amazon onsite training !
I’m ready for the boutique videos!!!!
Meee tooooo
I am so proud of you Nikki. ❤❤❤
Thank you!
This is the best video Nikki, thanks so much. Can't wait to start.
Thank you!
Once you start putting stuff on the walls and more furniture in the room, it will reduce the echo tremendously!
Yes! 🙌🏽

Yea I have heard that. You have to guess based on the weight of them and sizes 🙃
@@NikkiKirk , its an educated guess - but I had been going off of box numbers and had one shipment all done before I realized. Fixing that was a pain but better me than an Amazon shipment problem metric haha

Question about Inventory lab! So you just box up things and scan each item. Then Amazon does the number count for you??
In IL you can do box contents where you scan and throw it in the box then it tells Amazon what’s in each box so you don’t have to do the form fill out thing and you don’t pay the manual processing fee. I currently don’t do that but I will start next year. Then I won’t pay that manual processing fee anymore
That's good to know because I am having problems with Amazon where they always find 1 less of an item in my packages than what I know I counted.
I'd like to know about the items you use to start your business ie printer, tape for packaging, box resizer, etc.
Ok! I think I may have an old video that has that but that’s a good idea for a future video as well! Polybags and labels are a must. Packing tape and a printer if you don’t have one
@NikkiKirk Great job Nikki.
Hi Nikki. Can I use good voice number for my Amazon seller account?
What's the best scale?
Great video ❤
Thank you!
Hi nikki how do you maintain you amazon business if you move a lot what is your state that you register you business ?
I want to see wholesale and how it works
Been watching for years. What was the cost that your mentors paid to be on site. So jealous I missed it !!
I don’t have on site but I will be offering coaching in 2024!
Do you any brand approval can we sell on Amazon
Also what do you mean by putting up boxes in fbm that you have a lot of?
On the roller rack?
What brand office chair you have ?
It’s by downix dowinx.com
