In the third scenario, why wouldn’t you (the shooter) simply knock your opponents’ disc (the one closest to you that you are worried about for your partner) into the ditch while attempting to ricochet your disc into the 15 circle? Not only would this strategy avoid the ‘potentially bad things’, but also tie the score on the board (15-15) instead of giving your opponents the lead (30-15).
That's a good shot to be able to push two discs along like that. I feel like I'd end up shooting their disc into middle and then my shooter barely moving forward. I'd probably even get them a 20 for my effort. But if you can pull off shots like that, hell yeah use them in your arsenal. I believe most people (at my skill level) wouldn't think of doing that.
I showed my wife the clip where my name is mentioned. She looks at me, utterly unimpressed, and says, "he spends NINE MINUTES on you?" with an eye roll. Yes, fine woman, you are in fact married to an internet celebrity. Buckle up, it's gonna be a wild ride 😂
@@TraceyBoards oh, yeah, that's the only way I got her to watch those 10 seconds. If I'd have sent a link there's about a 2% chance she'd have watched, haha.
When SHOULD you use the double push shot? :_)
Great video, I hadn't considered the doubles play use of the double push.
glad to show something that hadn't been considered 🙂
@@TraceyBoards I certainly havent played enough doubles, but sacrificing points to help set up your teammates shot is a high level move. 👌
I can see all 3 of these scenarios happening. Good video.
sure can. part of why I enjoy doubles so much is that there is way more to consider
Great examples. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
dayum. high-level strats.
I love the expression that Crokinole is easy to learn but oh so tough to master... still working on it :-)
