The white scars chanting KHAHAN!KHAGAN! While demolishing death guard to get to their Primarch after this fight was the most epic part of the siege for me
They did not. They cried "Damarg" when they did their version of the black rage. The remaining Khans - led by Shiban, when they resolved to keep the star port, cried "For the Emperor" and for the "For the Khan"!
Can’t wait for the Khan to come back a third time with his warp abilities like the Lion. Watch he’ll be able to control “The Storm” and hit Mortarion like a big ass bug zapper lol
unlike the lion the khan demonstrated his warp ability once before, he could somehow materialize his will into a blade to kill ghosts during the great crusade, and considering the white scars are one of the most spiritual and psychoactive legions and Magnus said it out right that the khan is a latent psyker, I have no doubt that the khan will return with some crazy psychic powers when he does return
It says something about Mortarion that he was able to use a scythe to go toe-to-toe with a virtuoso of single-bladed combat and either keep up or land telling blows.
@Pallyrulez I do have to wonder if the Big E ever ascends to godhood, would he then do a version of Daemon Prince augmenting on the still-living Loyal Sons...?
@@randybentley2633 They already are of the warp. Demonhood is a shortcut, not an upgrade. Look a Corax, and Sanguinius. They unlocked their true powers and are simply stronger than some demon primarchs.

This duel is cool, only beaten by the Leman Russ vs (redacted) fight when he thrust his sword after all that legendary battle on (redacted) while the (redacted) Legion was killing all those female Custodes after being powered by (redacted) and falling to the (redacted) curse was a pretty good one as well.
Mortarion is a petty loser, perpetually whining about how he's been done wrong by the universe. He had every opportunity, but he played himself at every step and never gave anyone any of the credit they deserved. Nothing was ever going to be good enough for him, so he burned everything down around him trying to get the better deal and betrayed everything that mattered to him including his hatred of psychers and the warp. It's not a surprise, narratively, that the Khan beat him the way he did. But very satisfying.
After rereading the Warhawk I think the white scars could have endured the enslaver plague. Hence I wonder what would happen if the death guard would have endured and Mortarion would not be forced to embrace the decay?

I cant listen to anyone who refuses to pronounce words. Wiv for with, frue for through, oafs for oaths, froneworld for throneworld, deaf for death, FF for TH, every single time. It is just so painful to listen to.
