Disagree with the BoB suggestions. It’s very difficult to go through a year of BoB and then magically all hold hands and come together . Also there’s nothing entirely peaceful on a NAP server. You still have SVS and for a lot of servers KE too. The big coiners will congregate into one alliance . Don’t worry. NAP won’t stop that. Furthermore you can disabuse yourself of the notion that all the money a server makes comes only from the big coiners. That’s like saying airlines can’t afford to run flights without business class. In reality it’s coach that’s covering the cost of the flight. A server needs low to mid range coiners too and BoB will drive those people off.
Leaving your server is the worst thing to do, either stay were you are or just quit the game, but don’t incentivise continuing wasting more of your time and money
I usually use a few metrics to eval a server but more so for SVS as I know how to start a new server or join an existing one due to connections. 1. Number of chalons teams (legitimate castled teams or up and coming via chalons ranks for newer servers) 2. All star keeps and dragons. 3. Power distribution in the server (multiple strong alliances vs. united strong alliance) 4. Generals and how they are built esp the bigs. 5. Power and keep level of the bigs. 6. Prescence of wonder 3 unlocked depending how age of server 7. How many throne caps vs. the strength of their players and age.
For people who want to play in peace, there are actually a lot of NAP servers out there, of course, each have their own issues, but at least, you don't need to worry about your bubbles all the time, as long as you're in an alliance, you're safe, these type of servers are for people who likes to play at their own pace. If you want to pvp, yeah, go to servers on the top list of Battlefields, BoG, Boc etc. you might not get in the top alliance at first, but if they get to know you and see that you are active, they will let you in, eventually, but will have a long way to go/spend to catch up with the big dawgs.

We have a NAP server. One guy is ruining it so he is KOS but that doesn’t get rid of him. You can have the same problem with BoB if players attack relics, rss spots, AB castles and subs!

@@chryssesandchaos the bigger players would hit him when they saw him unbubbled. He has a pretty good T1 trap set up. And everyday is KE for him. We have a lot of farms and alts that he can hit to grow as well.
On the subcity event, that is just amount bet so far. Players in my server have the habit of waiting until only a few hours before the drawing of the sub they want and then spending every bet they have. Highest number of bets on my server right now is 75K.
Should have left my old server a long time ago ,only reason i haven't is the few people I started playing with and are still here . obviously I didn't take your last bit of advice about friends .😁
Crazy cool video. I'm in a new sever/new player and quickly learned basic things of the game and the top players always get singled out here. They get told they are ruining the game and wont give time for little players to grow, such a bad atmosphere sometimes. But what you said also makes sense. They aren't focused so much on complaints they are focus on battlefield and svs. They have weekly events where there is much Nap time then full on KEs. Its got a lot of potential. We clearly have spenders so we shall see.
if you're on a server like 1208 that has one alliance of psychopaths that the rest of the server refused to deal with until they systematically targeted each powerful alliance in turn, you need to leave.
The highest powered player on my server is so psychotic and a huge narcissist. His alliance has tried to merge with others and failed because hes so toxic, he asks women for pictures, hes doxxed people, harrasses women, made one leave after he tried to get with her, stalked her on Facebook and sent nasty messages to her family. he burns everyone, throws a tantrum when people disagree, evony has received so many complaints every day. No one will ever work with him anymore.
A question I had about sub cities: If I found and got a yellow japan but my main city was korean, would I have to change my main city culture to get the buffs from the sub city or would I get the buffs as soon as I occupied the sub city?
sub cities from the world map buffs activate when you occupy them. those are the sub slots 2, 3, 4 and up. The Sub city that you have next to your main city. sub slot 1 is the only sub city where the buffs change when you change culture and you can upgrade from green to gold. directly to your question. when you get that gold Japan sub....when you occupy it, the buffs are active. If you still have your culture as Korean, only the sub in "slot 1" will give you Korean sub city buffs. whatever the nature of the subs in slot 2, 3, 4 etc....will give you the buffs based only on the world map sub culture. if its a European world map sub city, then you get European sub city buffs. Hope that helps.
When I was R5 (my alliance is now top alliance in my server, and I'm enjoying my retirement, lol), scheduling our events was a nightmare. I had (still do) Europeans, Asians and North Americans. The balancing act was difficult in the beginning, and it took us 1 year to find a scheduling sweet spot that works for most of our players. The best advice I can give to anyone in R5 or leadership positions who have players from all over the world in their alliance, ask them their timezones; it will help you find a middle ground that works for most of your players and you'll have a far less struggle in battlefields.

I do not need to spend a ton of money or dominate to enjoy playing. Not sure which continent but low 800's and we have 0 Honorary Regents. To me that means we have people that are not insanely spending more than a house to play a mobile game. Everyone has their own ideas on what makes a good server. If you want to be top dawg then sure, spend a lot of money to buy a keep on a top spending server. Stress over your bubble dropping so someone from your own server can zero you for 2 seconds of glory. Really builds server unity... 🙄We were BOB for our first year and all it did was make people quit playing and cause lots of server drama. We are now a NAP server and we merged a few top alliances earlier this year and now work together to win most our server wars....and every war we meet a big spender and 9 times out of 10 they don't know how to play. Because spending a lot, doesn't mean you know how to use all those shiny toys you bought 😛Granted we are very low ranked, obviously, but we have fun. Downside. I don't get a shiny BF dragon. NAP servers are great, rouge players ruin it though. I don't think NAP servers take away from PVP as long as there are experienced players that help out the newbies and if most people learn to bubble during SVS and Kill Event (if it's still even being played, we canned it). The PVP people in my server do very well, we're not winning every SVS but we've beaten a few older servers that had stronger players.
you know who love nap servers....rogues...and every server has a few hooligans...nap is good if all the bigs are together...if not theres inevitably going to be arguments over monsters and someone will be in a bad mood and press attack once in awhile.

You always get the buffs. You can have sub cities with several different cultures.
