Had a friend on my server who had her as his wall genny way before ascending. We all brushed him off until he was the first to fully awake a genny and have kickass reports.
I wouldn't scrap Marshal. Evony changes stuff so much, I wouldn't doubt that Double Ascended generals becomes a thing( where assistants' ascensions start counting towards stats). Also Dewey's ascension is pretty good imo, just for the siege HP. He could also end up becoming a tavern general in the future, just like Boudicca went from being a premium gen to a tavern gen.
I've got Leo III but because of the ascension problem I've been using Dewey and Boudica exactly for the reasons you've outlined here. I was so unsure about the decision and was worried I was making a mistake. This video has given me peace of mind.
I also ascend the duty generals for workshop and barracks and stuff like the archer tower cause you really can get extra with trap factory, barracks and stables generals ascended for horse hp
If you really want to go all-out on cav hp for your wall, you can pair Boudica with li Naomasa who brings another 95% cav hp fully spec'd =] I'd do that if I didn't also need the siege stats from Leo
I thought if Boudica and I have a bunch of copies but the problem with Marshall was a current problem for me. So I went Jadwiga with Marshall, because I am fairly strong seige to pound while you are hitting my horse/ground. And I thought the combo was less specialized to more handle whatever comes. One question which I haven’t been able to answer is what does HP do in battlefield. Because I hear defense to stay out of hospital, HP not to die, but nothing dies in battlefield. So I am thinking defense to stay in battle longer and I really do not know what HP does in battlefield so I was a bit leery of Boudica for battlefield with a great HP increase.
But if you have more hp. The troops w live longer. Imagine this. You have 10m horse. And the first 500k are in the battle while others wait their turn to defend. Hp will allow those first 500k who are fighting to their death to last longer before the others start fighting

my alt account got 15 boudica from the tavern before it got it's 4th martinus. Also, this video shows perfectly the flaws of the assistant general mechanic. Marshal and Dewey's gold skill are the same, except Dewey's HP is 5% less. Marshall doesn't work, Dewey does, for that reason. So you have to literally destroy the slightly better general to pay for the one that is slightly worse because it's compatible with Boudicca. Actually ridiculous, and a gigantic waste of resources.
and i just want to add that dewey is actually harder to get than marshal. Marshal at least comes up as a trial of knights reward, and from the general invitation event. Dewey can takes months of collecting fragments to get just one. But if he's assistant, I guess it doesn't matter.
I have William Marshal as my main and Basil II as my assistant. Like you mentioned, a big issue is getting fragments + ares.... I. refuse to get rid of Marshal only because I know the moment I get rid of him, EVONY will do something to make getting his fragments easier.
I have Leonidas 8 stars right now almost to 9 with mixed of ground and mounted flats with Kroyo set… and William Marshall as my assistant… I did my flat refines mixed because I wanted to see if t1 ground will be effective for defense since there health and defense is already so high… with siege attack % refines

It's funny you say that at the end I use my Leonidas as main with 2 piece koryo 2 piece Abbas and 2 ach and all flat refines with Boudica as assistant and it's a great pair
it should be noted this really only applies to your top tier mounts, Low tiers go by flat numbers not percentages so boudica would really only be to protect your upper layers if you can't ghost your t10-15. from what I've seen they are still the first to die from a range rally attack, maybe not all in one go, but they still die off pretty easily
Sure. But if you’re playing the flat game. It’s a completely different everything. Your wall gens would then go off which upper troops you decide to keep
If you're stacked with over 10M T15 cav those % will stop just about anything being high enough. But a proper mixing of % and flats is crucial if you've layered your entire base like I have. 5M of each troop type minimum

I have a serious question about t1 meat trap so far nobody answered right yet. Why Boudica? Her % skill on mount only work on top tier mount which are obviously should be ghosted. So why her? I was thinking about Tran Dau as main for siege% and Teach as assistant for another siege%. Are they both good to support t1 traps?
I Am getting 3 to 4 fragments of George a week but I brought the monthly pack that gives you more keys so I can 8 star George and I have another 15 fragments to go towards the ninth star
To be honest, if you have the money it should be easy to ascend William Marshal. He's almost always in the General's invitation event. Most of the coiners on my server have him and well ascended too.

It's been a few weeks now, any updates on the move to keep her as a main, especially for non to occasional coiners? I can buy William Marshal with my invitations right now, but not sure what my move should be. Right now I run Zachary Taylor and Dewey. But I have Leonidas and wanted to buy Marshal to replace Taylor and keep Dewey. So hard to choose!
@Gaming Addicts With Genghis You don't neglect Siege attack with Thebes as your wall Dragon. And you can always mix and match the refines. Plenty of seige attack from Koryo Set also.
It was my understanding, that blooded generals when a 2nd doesn't work.. that was tested.. I wouldn't use her as a Main one.. but that's me.. good video
What about using non wall specific generals, like Li Naomasa who has Mounted attack 25% and mounted HP 40% while leading the army. I. Tested it and got and extra 10% HP boost when replaced with my Leonidas.
Interesting, I tend to ghost around 20 million top end horse on 4 or 5 marches, but this is someone I might look at 👍. Also when you ascend a general do they actually work as an assistant as I’ve looked and when you click on the main book it only shows the basic buffs and not the ascended extra star buffs 🤔. Also learnt something today, did not release you get blood of ares back when you sell an ascended general, thanks for that 👍
I don't think this is a wise idea - the fact that building 400,000,000 T1 cav can be theoretically done with grinding and low spending, and likewise for ascending Boudica one or two stars, leads me to think that Evony will nerf the hell out of this strategy in the near future.

Doesn't matter who you have .. evony will still kill you. Ascending generals was a poor upgrade in the game ...its forcing you to buy top packs ×10 for a chance to get what you want and it still gives you someone you don't want ...games fixed for growing administration just to kill and out rank you ....getting fed up of chasing ranking ...money pit ...

I'm a K40 and I ghost everything. Like you. I have also created many spreadsheets. I wouldn't use her on my wall. She is definitely for non ghosters.

That’s the exact combo I use. Both fully spec’d and Boudica max ascended. I just need more horses. And more of everything.

Used boudica since she first arrived in the game, slowly ascending her. Hopefully get there sooner or later.

All he said was that he values the huge uplift in horse Hp as compared to using Marshal and getting smaller seige attack

Li Namosa should be the assistant. More mounted ATK and HP buffs, just a heads up.
