My grandmother, my mother, me, and my daughter have always washed sheets every Saturday. Blankets and comforters once a month. You shed hundreds of dead skin cells every night...eeewwww...
I’m a single man and maybe I’m obsessive but I wash my sheets and blanket every week. I also have a mattress and a pillow cover, which I wash every other month. My bed spread / comforter I have professional cleaned every six months.
I used to wash my bed clothes very often and hang them on the line outside cause I didn't have a dryer. I loved to smell my clothes after they were dry.
One other thing: If you sleep naked on dirty sheets and are constantly moving your pillow from between your legs to under your head, you’re theoretically running the risk that your mouth or eyes could come into contact with bits of stool. If you’re healthy, this thought is more disturbing than anything else. But if you happen to have a compromised immune system, like if you’ve come down with the flu, that could technically leave you more vulnerable to illnesses that spread through bacteria in feces, like pink eye.
@@LokiDaFerret I'm seasonal/semi-seasonal as well (wash a few times a season or change when season changes). I shower before bed, and never had any problems with illness, bugs, disease etc. Been like that for almost 40 years.
Growing up, blanks and sheets where rarely washed. Once every few years or so. I have also heard you should buy a new mattress about ever 8 years. I slept on the same mattress from 4 to when I moved out of my parents house (22). So to me washing bedding once a week sounds excessive.
Ummm…I would be hesitant at reusing the shame sheets and blankets for months without a wash, and even that’s excessive. But years? Completely unacceptable and filthy
I take a shower every night before going to bed, so washing sheets "at least once a week" sound excessive and not very environmentally conscientious... Also, you can't throw a memory-foam pillow in the washer.
Yes but just like a mattress cover you can get pillow covers and a pillow case on top. I wash my pillow case and sheets once a week and the pillow cover once a month with the duvet cover.
@@2adamast Fun fact: months are actually NOT SI units since they are not consistent in how many days, hours etc they have. However, I was talking about Fahrenheit vs Celsius. Celsius is a SI derived unit. Fahrenheit does not hold that status.
wtf is all these duvets and sheet on the bed. Bro I just have like a thing over the mattress and a blanket if and I mean IF I get cold. I can't imagine all that other stuff on your bed, it would be too hot to sleep in.
Ethan Ellis she said the encasement are made of a plastic material, can you feel it when you sleep is it annoying or does it just feel like another bed sheet
Lol I use like 70 blankets and 20 pillows (in case you can’t tell I’m exaggerating but seriously I have a lot of both, like 2 covers that I actually cover up with, I like to sandwich my legs between them so they don’t touch skin to skin or rub while I’m sleeping, and 3 throws that I prop myself up with or just lay against my face because it’s soft and feels nice. I also cover my eyes with them even though I have both blacked out windows with blankets over them and an eye mask lol and I have 2 body pillows, one I use to prop my iPad on to watch tv or play game and one to cuddle at night, and finally I have 5 stuffed animals, a 23 year old girl so don’t come for me lol they aren’t just for kids okay lol, and a chair pillow.) My bed is a queen mattress that came in a box vacuum sealed into like 1/10 of its actually size once it expanded for 48 hours, and I have depression so I eat, sleep, read, play games, do homework, watch tv, etc etc etc in my bed so I’ve made it a haven. That said, in my huge long rant/spiel, it’s obviously a pain to wash everything and takes like at least 2 loads of laundry (we have the big whatever it’s called sized washer and dryer). I washed everything today including spraying my mattress with microban and it is a welcome comfort. Everything smells so fresh and clean and feels so new and soft. Sorry for the unnecessary novel lol but seriously once a week would kill me.......more like once a month, BUT I always shower before getting into bed and I’m always clean when I’m in bed and have on fresh clothes and stuff and my dog who is solely and indoor dog who just goes out at potty times or to play gets her feet and butt washed off before she’s allowed in my bed under my covers with me and has regular flea/tick prevention and deworming.
I’ve been washing my mattress cover every single month, which is every other time I wash sheets. Are you telling me I don’t really need to even wash that thing? Lmao
It's kinda sad because I'm not in a position to be able to wash my sheets regularly. I'm living with my parents and my mom would complain that I'd be using up too much water if I did. So yeah.
If you don’t do this you’re so lazy… there’s nothing other than laziness taking place. Value what you sleep in and what you sleep in will take care of your body.
I totally agree with you, the whole world uses Celsius apart from maybe just one country that has not caught up yet. They will eventually. There was this highly expensive mistake made with one of the international satellites where the USA part was done (by mistake) in Imperial units. Fortunately no one was killed. The USA is just different, take for example, their current leader, Donald Trump who is busy right now killing tens of thousands of them. I exaggerate of course, but his inaction and worse, downplaying Covid-19 HAS led to tens of thousands dying that would still be alive if not for him.
@@tomholy This will sound morbid, but I do have to wonder if American ignorance and laziness will eventually do them in - whether economically or living.

Sound advice. I'm passing this over to my staff. The upstairs maids have looked a bit overly relaxed lately, not enough work.

I wash all my memory foam products they just take longer to dry but they should be washed.
Before I go to bed, I make sure I had a shower and worn washed clothes. However is it ok if I only wash my bed sheets and blanket once a month?
Yep fine
I wash my Abeero Home bedsheets twice a week.
Thank you for the video
I washed the sheets weekly, towels every 3 days
Every 6 months if they need it or not
eerwwwww! Weekly at least
😂🤣
