The way Muska man handles handrails in this video was groundbreaking at the time. Why compare it to the skating of today? Appreciate it for what it was then. I still see guys who dress and (attempt to) skate like Muska and that speaks volumes. The guy is a legend of skateboarding.

Love all these old skaters, each had such a distinct style. Skating has progressed so much since then that it can start to look a bit mechanical among pros and a tre flip is a tre flip is a tre flip. Back in the dizz,e you could see that Muska 50-50. It's just a 50-50 but the way he stands up nearly perfectly straight, feet move very little from the ollie up onto the rail. A distinct personal style. Like Andrew Reynolds with fs flips -- lots of people can fs flip, but the way the long legs would suck the board up under him made it his. It's like playing a jazz standard; everyone technically plays the same song, but then you hear that one band just absolutely kill it. Every little movement is perfect

This part is/was historic. One of those parts u don’t forget. Like So many I remember from the 90s when skating leaped forward. The magic I felt when skating in the mid to late 90s in my hometown in San Francisco it’s hard to really explain. Special times.

Muska was my boy back in the day! It was about 2003 or 2004 when I got the red Muska deck and I was so syked. It was for my birthday or Christmas or something and I found it - I would try to sneak it out at night and try to do a kickflip or something with it before sneaking it back to its hiding place before my parents caught me.
    Ah good times!
