Relatively... go look at the price of most standard (non mass-market) games. $30 is the low range. Swing by a Barnes & Noble and look at the price of most boxes in the hobby board game section. I’m not gonna say the hobby is cheap, for sure.

If you love this style of game, and especially the mechanics of drafting a deck to control units definately check out War Chest. That game is a lot less thematic, but plays almost the same. A pro for War Chest is that there are a lot of different units you can play/combine, and has a simple yet effective drafting system. Normandy and North Africa are both amazing games that play in a campaign, so if you would rather just play a single game from time to time check out War Chest :)

Also for anyone who has TTS, there's a nice scripted setup mod for all 12 scenarios available at the steam workshop.

It's a board game of the fighting in Normandy AFTER D-day. The landings are not portrayed.

There's a pretty famous board game called Memoir '44 which pretty much covers most of WW2 (including the pacific theater)
