I'd love to see your game list. We've had this one for a while now. Added Totally Liquid expansion a bit later and it adds some nice assymetry to the players in addition to water dinos and a 5th player option. On day I hope to get Dinogenics and compare these two games. I'll rate the solo experience for Dino Island in the near future. Unraveling Call to Adventure at the moment but maybe Dinosaur Island gets the next run through.

I really, really bounced hard off of Dinosaur Island. It's a shame, since it's pretty popular locally and it'd be a good game to play a bunch and get really competitive about it. Not many games I can think of that would be suitable for that. Instead, I'm just left wishing I was playing any number of other worker placement or economic games. Agricola with it's huge deck of cards and more intense worker placement competition, or something like Isle of Skye which is easy going but has more direct player relationships.
There isn't a penalty to them getting eaten, BUT (if I remember correctly) they get eaten *last*, so if you had enough security to have just one survivor left, you couldn't choose to eat the hooligan and keep a paying customer - the hooligan will still block a scoring point while everyone else dies.
