Just did same steps and unfortunately same for me my first wifi antenna is not working out for me .. I’m able to connect to CarPlay for a split second before it disconnects due to the weak connection . I’ve ordered another Wi-Fi antenna to see if that’s the issue . Hoping to see same results as you

Try to untangle and move the antenna a bit away from the bluetooth module and tx antennas and wires, and the rx ofc to not interfere with other systems, but wifi seems to be the most affected due to the required low latency
A quick tip is to move the wifi antenna away from the headunit, some signals can interfere with each other of the source is too close

No delay, works just like my previous f32 with oem system. Might disconnect randomly but all of them do.
Hi mate, did you have some issue with rebooting or some crashes after some time? I know that ID4 has 2GB ram while ID 5/6 has 4GB ram. I am just asking because I have ID4 as well. Thank you!
Yeah, only happens on longer drives, but very rare.

@@DedaMrasz CarPlay, but it shuts the whole system down and reboot itself
@@alvinmpower4985 alright. That is not a big deal if only happens on longer drives. It depends what is “longer” drives. If will happen every 30 minutes it will be annoying.

Was it nbt idrive 4? Or nbt evo idrive4?
I'm not sure what the difference is tbh, all I know is it's Idrive 4.
Make sure to buy OEM bmw antenna around £25/$27
