fun fact, altmer faith is based on gnostic faith where lorkhan/God/Demiurge is a jailor who imprisoned the gods in mortla forms , and much how thalmor is clearly based on nazi party of germany, nazis held simular views to gnostic faith

In ESO, Summerset and Alinor may be lovely but my goodness, the casual racism. High elf npcs just flatly hold themselves superior to all other races, and don't know why anyone gets upset to be looked down upon. Ayrenn is a voice of reason but she's just one person. Then you got places like the College of Altmeri Propriety in Auridon, where there are faculty literally being racist quite vocally.

I mean there’s a good argument for high elf superiority in the lore, they’re technically weak gods/ direct descendants of gods that became too weak to leave nirn. They’re also the most magically gifted but magic was massively nerfed in skyrim so that doesn’t feel as relevant anymore
