Saw your video, applied for foundation year, and got in.... I would have just skipped on applying for foundation if I hadn't connected with you, SO THANK YOU!
For me, it was because I did high school in New Zealand (even then I finished year 13 which I thought suppose to be equivalent to A-Level but NOPE!) I actually emailed to ask UAL but they said I needed both year 13 and foundation course. However, I would suggest emailing the admin team and fight for not doing foundation (if that's what u want) because even if you get to do a short or go straight on BA that will save u one year and 20k:) Hope this help! wish you all the best xx
First of all congratulations, Im 17 and ı want to attend UAL’s foundation program too. Nowadays ım preparing for conditional application. I would appreciate if you could connect with me and tell me more about your experiences especially about 'personal statement'.
Ohhhh thank you so much it's very kind of you:) Of cause, message me on Instagram? Also, what is your Instagram name so I know that it's you. I will try my best to help.
HI, I will go to study graphic communication design in CSM,how do you think about this course? Are the teacher good in this course? I am a little bit worried about this, and about how many chinese students study in this course?
Hi many of my friends from Foundation go there for their BA and they love it! Again they have facilities, industry partners and tutorials to offer but in the end it’s really you who has to ask and reach out. Because tutors are always going to be free (I think most of them work part time) and you have to be organised when it comes to booking studio and other spaces. I understand it’s nerve racking coming into a new space, perhaps country but go with the flow, do your best and enjoy it❤️❤️ u will do amazing! Also, I’m not certain about the exact number of Chinese student but there would be some…probs many! But it’s also okay if you are the only one, I’m the only Thai student in my course too! Just deal with it step by step, stay calm and you’ll be absolutely fine.😁 wish you all the best.
Hi, i just wanted to say that i got an offer from the foundation diploma for art and design (architecture and 3d design) and i am leaning towards it, however i also have an offer from greenwich and Westminster for 1st year architecture and im not completely sure if its best for me to go for the foundation
Hi, Congratulations!!!!!!🎉🎉 is there any different in the modules? Maybe look into those and they might help you to decide on what you want to do? Also the facilities, the campus location and the size of the course might help as well:) hope this helps xx
Some unis prefer you have it, like UAL and Kingston, but it is very rare for a uni to actually require it. Some unis will offer you a place based on the grade you get on foundation diploma. Others wont and will only look at alevel or btec grades (:
Yes like the other two said that it is easier to get into a foundation and no UAL doesn't require a foundation but they seem to prefer it. Also, if you do a foundation with them you are guaranteed to get into one of the BA courses within UAL (for me I got an offer from LCC straight away but not CSM, don't think they guarantee any of the CSM courses) But of cause double-check with the admin team because the requirement can change throughout the year:) Wish you all the very best xx

That's foundation diploma, rather than a foundation year, which is slightly different. A foundation year is just an extra year on a 3 or 4 year bachelors degree which you do if your grades were not high enough to get onto the degree x
Hi ... Im from India, im completed my degree course. ( Bachelor of theatre arts.) After i did CGPD & DFM. I want to join there... I really love to do art .. i need more information.. can you help me?
Omg hiii!! At first I was thinking of applying to ual too but I wasn’t really sure whether to really study for fashion design or what. One thing for sure I’d like to study something around the fashion industry and csm only provides diploma in art and design. Now I’m going for fashion foundation in istituto marangoni how you think about that!! Please give me some advice🥺🥺
Hi:) CSM loves fashion! there're menswear, womenswear, textiles, prints and much more!! It's a very driven college worth checking out. Maybe for more details visit the UAL website? Even for foundation, my friend did specialise in fashion for her foundation year but I'm sure Istituto Marangoni are as good. However, I think it's worth applying to UAL for BA:) wish u all the best!
I'm not 100% certain but I think the application started from January till April so I think that's how long you have to submit your portfolio:) But check where you are from they might have an in-person interview in which you present your portfolio, get interviewed and find out if you get in there and then. Wish you all the best xx

Hi you did A level in arts or local like New Zealand high school
I did NZQA which was the local (New Zealand) education system.
Is foundation year mandate or optional, cause I don't know if I need it or not?
