Hi many of my friends from Foundation go there for their BA and they love it! Again they have facilities, industry partners and tutorials to offer but in the end it’s really you who has to ask and reach out. Because tutors are always going to be free (I think most of them work part time) and you have to be organised when it comes to booking studio and other spaces. I understand it’s nerve racking coming into a new space, perhaps country but go with the flow, do your best and enjoy it❤️❤️ u will do amazing! Also, I’m not certain about the exact number of Chinese student but there would be some…probs many! But it’s also okay if you are the only one, I’m the only Thai student in my course too! Just deal with it step by step, stay calm and you’ll be absolutely fine.😁 wish you all the best.

Hi:) CSM loves fashion! there're menswear, womenswear, textiles, prints and much more!! It's a very driven college worth checking out. Maybe for more details visit the UAL website? Even for foundation, my friend did specialise in fashion for her foundation year but I'm sure Istituto Marangoni are as good. However, I think it's worth applying to UAL for BA:) wish u all the best!

I'm not 100% certain but I think the application started from January till April so I think that's how long you have to submit your portfolio:) But check where you are from they might have an in-person interview in which you present your portfolio, get interviewed and find out if you get in there and then. For me, it was because I did high school in New Zealand (even then I finished year 13 which I thought suppose to be equivalent to A-Level but NOPE!) I actually emailed to ask UAL but they said I needed both year 13 and foundation course. However, I would suggest emailing the admin team and fight for not doing foundation (if that's what u want) because even if you get to do a short or go straight on BA that will save u one year and 20k:) Hope this help! wish you all the best xx

You don't need it, but I think It's easier to get into the foundation year.

Some unis prefer you have it, like UAL and Kingston, but it is very rare for a uni to actually require it. Some unis will offer you a place based on the grade you get on foundation diploma. Others wont and will only look at alevel or btec grades (:

Yes like the other two said that it is easier to get into a foundation and no UAL doesn't require a foundation but they seem to prefer it. Also, if you do a foundation with them you are guaranteed to get into one of the BA courses within UAL (for me I got an offer from LCC straight away but not CSM, don't think they guarantee any of the CSM courses) But of cause double-check with the admin team because the requirement can change throughout the year:) Wish you all the very best xx

@@Reyana929 Foundation= 1 year long Can be at a college or a university You try all different types of art, rather than specialising in just one Graded with pass, merit or distinction (or fail) Easier to get into Sometimes required by universities to get onto a bachelors Free for under 19s Bachelors= Specialising in just one type of art from the beginning 3 years (or 4 with placement/year abroad) Graded 1st through to 3rd Usually only at a university Harder to get into Both- Require A-Levels to get into Have entry requirements Set projects Require a certain level of independence Require portfolio for entry Hope this helps x

That's foundation diploma, rather than a foundation year, which is slightly different. A foundation year is just an extra year on a 3 or 4 year bachelors degree which you do if your grades were not high enough to get onto the degree x
